Missrepresented in the listing
We fell out with Michelle as we had a disagreement over the listing.
We have three teenage children who want their own space so always book four bedrooms. The listing said 4 bedrooms but has only 3. The fourth bedroom is what you would call a day bed in the kitchen. The kitchen, eating area and lounge are all open plan. Michell suggested putting a bed in the lounge which we did, but we could then not use the space after about 9pm as my son wanted privacy to speak to his girlfriend so we had to go to our bedrooms. I don’t think it is correct to list 4 bedrooms when the fourth bedroom is in the kitchen or a bed moved to the lounge
The other issue is that the double beds are listed either as queen or king but they are not, they are standard size beds so 4.5ft or 140cm – this is a lie on the listing- Michelle never reverted on this point.
We were not going to leave a review but after receiving an abusive txt after we left, we have changed our mind. The txt said we are the most complaining guests she has ever had, and our teenagers should share a room and we should go to Delhi or Africa to teach them tolerance and about first world problems ad maybe it would teach us to be be decent human beings. If we want luxury Airbnb is not for you (it is TripAdvisor not Airbnb but Michelle advertises there as well) .
Michelle clearly misses the point, we know our kids want privacy so we booked a four 4 bedroom place and did not think for one minute the fourth bedroom would be a day bed in the kitchen. I don’t think it’s wrong to complain on this point as it was not as listed. However, Michelle thinks we were lucky to stay in her apartment and we should just suffer without complaint (to put it very politely ) the “errors” on the listing.
We are actually very tolerant when we stay in TripAdvisor or Airbnb’s as appreciate its someone’s house and treat it like we would our own and also accept, that the cleaners may not do a great job every time which is not really the owner’s fault. In this case although we were pretty unhappy with the stay we left the apartment cleaner than when we found it and disposed of all rubbish, tided and sorted the washing exactly how we were asked to do. Having received the txt I wish we hadn’t bothered.
Michelle is very proud that she had more than 100 different guests staying and is a super host. She pointed this out to us on several occasions as if this compensated for the misrepresentation in the listing. However, she only has 76 reviews on Airbnb and one on TripAdvisor. Perhaps people are too polite and give 5 star reviews (even those mentioning the dirt) or would rather not give a review at all, as we were going to.
Finally, had it been four bedrooms not 3 we would have overlooked all of the other minus points and given a great review. Note we received 150 euros back from Michelle but would have far rather had 4 bedrooms.

Washing in the washing machine and plates in the dish washer on arrival which we sorted
Zero space in all bedroom cupboards so nowhere to put your stuff albeit this is not unusual
I would be very concerned if I had young kids with the window by the day bed as it opens fully, and the window ledge is the same height as the day bed and the flat is on the third floor. There is a lock that restricts the opening on it but its broken.
Not the cleanest in the kitchen cupboards and oven and with a broken fan in one of the bathrooms so it smelt damp.
Light switched broken and coming away from the walls in a couple of places
The sheet on our bed was dirty

Bel appartement
Un peu éloigné du centre mais avec les bus, ce n'est pas un problème.
Quartier calme dans résidence.
Appartement joliment décoré et très bien équipé.
