We recently stayed at the Priest Haus in Vik and loved it. We had 6 adults and the place worked for us. Beautiful view and fully appointed house. I would highly recommend this house if you are looking to stay in the Vik area. Less than 10 minutes into town. There are many sights to see and could also drive out to the big glacier, and the lagoon & Diamond beach.

The combination of location and comfort made this home ideal for us. It's on a very quiet location with outstanding views in all directions -- glaciers, open fields with sheep and a charming church, Reynisfjara beach... and if you're lucky enough, one of the most amazing sunsets over the beach that you'll ever see. It's also only a 10 minute drive to Vik where we bought groceries, ate in restaurants, and met our tour guide to hike nearby glaciers and an ice cave. Inside, the house was very clean and well maintained. We were 7 adults and two of us had to sleep on cots -- that was the only drawback. But if you are 3 couples, or a family with young kids, i think the beds would work out perfectly. The owners were very helpful prior to our arrival and shared a lot of info and tips about the house and the area. I would highly recommend this house and hope to have the opportunity to stay again!

This house was perfect for our family which had three generations staying here (hubby, his parents and our four young children 8,6&3). Located on the road heading down to the black sand beach the views of the landscape were stunning. We truly escaped into watching the landscape through the large windows. The house itself was lovely and warm. Catered for all three generations- had toys for the kids, comfy couches for the adults and a well equipped kitchen. Loved this property and the communication from the owner was clear, informative and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Für mich ist diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterzuempfehlen. Selbst jetzt am Ende der Hauptreisezeit (September 2019) waren die Unterkunft und die Ausstattung noch in sehr gutem Zustand. Dazu kommt die schöne Lage am Black Beach und, nicht zu vergessen, der traumhafte Panoramablick auf Strand, Felsen und Meer. Der Sonnenuntergang dort ist ein Traum. Die Unterkunft entspricht der Beschreibung. Der Kontakt war unproblematisch, sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Schlüsselübergabe ist gut organisiert. Ich würde sie wieder buchen.

El apartamento era excelente y las vistas muy buenas, tranquilo y con juegos por si quieres distracción. Acondicionamiento bueno, lavadora secadora barbacoa, muchas toallas. A mejorar la limpieza del menaje.

When walking into Priest Haus my husband exclaimed, "Yes! This place is awesome!" The location of the home is near Black Beach and the view is stunning. In the morning's my husband and I would grab a cup of tea and sit back to take in our surroundings. Vik is only minutes away and while the home's kitchen is well stocked for dinners in, several excellent restaurant choices are found in town. The house is stocked with extra towels and blankets. And, a blow-dryer, soaps and shampoo are found in the bathroom. The living room is comfortable and there are lots of outlets for charging phones and cameras. Additionally, the owner was responsive and picking up the key was a seamless process. I would absolutely recommend this rental!

I booked Priest House through the Boutique Hotels site after someone recommended it to me, and I'm so glad they did! I was a little sketched out at first with the website since you pay the homeowner directly (through PayPal or some other secured link) and not through the website, so I thought that there was no accountability if anything went wrong. However, this house exceeded my expectations! My husband and I are from the states and came to Iceland in September 2018 for our elopement. I never met Magnus (the owner) but prior to booking and afterwards, he replied to all my questions very quickly. He provided a lot of info ahead of time so that there were no surprises. Check in was easy - we were told to pick up the keys at Volcano Hotel (which was conveniently on the way to the house), and let me tell you, the house is so beautiful! The home is modeled after a viking long house and the furnishings complimented the house so perfectly. We had a group of 5 people and we all had plenty of room! The house served as a meeting base for all our wedding guests and entourage (about 15 people total) and everyone complimented how amazing the house was with the incredible view of the black sand beach. After the long wedding day of exploring the Southern region, we all came back to the house and enjoyed take-out burgers from a local burger joint with a gorgeous view of the sunset... it was the perfect day! We stayed for 3 nights and wish we could've stayed longer. Checking out was very easy as well, by dropping off the keys at Volcano Hotel. A few house after I checked out, I realized I forgot my purse at the house! I emailed Magnus and he quickly replied that they found the purse and left it at the Volcano Hotel for me to pick up. That was so generous and nice of Magnus and his team. Thank you, Magnus, for a wonderful stay. You have a beautiful home!

This holiday rental is second to none. It is fantastically decorated and prepared. The owner is very helpful with any questions that we had. The property has great facilities and it is located in easy walking distance to the black sand beach, with wonderful rock formations and basalt columns. The windows on the side of the building are massive and show off a wonderful view of the sea and a lighthouse. We saw the northern lights from the window while we were there. We simply can’t recommend this property enough.

We couldn’t have asked for better. An unbelievable home/view/location. It was incredible. The huge windows were great for viewing the coast and the northern lights. We would absolutely stay again.

It was easy to collect keys and found the place as per direction from host. Although from outside it didnt look anything special but once inside it is great. You have everything you would need there. Marvellous view of the beach, cozy room. I agree with some other travellers that some furnitures could do with an up-grade, and some lights could be brighter. the wifi was non existence after our first day which was annoying! But overall we love our stay there and would recommend it.
