Amazing location on the main piazza of Mdina, with a stupendous view over the cathedral. Wonderfully warm and helpful owners at all times. Interesting internal arrangement over two floors, with a stylish internal spiral staircase, which does however require nimble visitors. All amenities in the kitchen, and basic provisions offered on arrival, which is very helpful, as well as numerous maps and local tourist literature. A wonderful place to relax in after a long hard day's visiting all round Malta!

A lovely apartment with wonderful hosts. Fabulous location about 20 minutes by bus from Valetta. A regular and good bus service into Valetta.

Mdina is a beautidul spot and Regal House of Character is pure magic. The location is perfect. It is close to everything and easy to get around. Joanna is a charming hostess. She is a walking history book that can give you all the information you could ever want. She is very kind and would do anything to make your visit perfect. The house is full of interesting things. We loved it. If you plan tp go to Mdina...stay here!

We had a fantastic holiday in Mdina over Christmas. The city is spectacular and views from the apartment are stunning. The apartment was beautiful. Thank you Joanna for welcoming and looking after us so well.

We recently spent an idyllic few days in this beautiful apartment in Mdina. The location is very special, with a direct view of the cathedral, and you feel you are immediately part of the action! Mdina by night when the tourists have left is magical and atmospheric, and we enjoyed our leisurely evening strolls along the little cobbled streets and alleyways after excellent meals in the nearby restaurants. Andrea was prompt and efficient in replying to emails and forwarding all the necessary details. His mother, Joanna, who welcomed us was a delight, and ensured the apartment was ready for our arrival and in perfect condition. She had provided a welcome basket of food and there was plenty of literature about places to see and visit. We highly recommend this apartment and know you will not be disappointed. Enjoy!

Location: This apartment is situated right in the main square, across from St. Paul's Cathedral. This is a fantastic location, the views are to die for. It's easy to walk to all the attractions in Mdina, including many restaurants and shopping. It's not too far to walk into the newer town, Rabat, just outside the main gates. The catacombs are an easy walk. There are parking lots outside the main gates, and these are convenient but can be a bit of a walk with your bags. They can provide you with a parking permit for within the walls, but there aren't a lot of spaces, and it could be challenging to drive with the number of pedestrians on the narrow streets. Apartment: The apartment is on two floors. The ground floor has a full kitchen, laundry, bathroom with shower, toilet, and sitting room. Up the spiral staircase, you will find another sitting room and bedroom, with 2 balconies overlooking the main square. There is no air con, but there are fans, so you will want to keep the balcony doors open overnight. Because of its location on the main square, it can be rather noisy, with horse-drawn carriages, tour groups, and the tolling of the bells of St. Paul's Cathedral every 15 minutes all night. It was well-funished, clean, spacious and comfortable. One challenge might be the spiral staircase for some, as the bathroom is on the ground floor, as well as the kitchen. Hot water needs to be switched ahead of time. The wifi is very weak -- to the point of being unusable. There is a wifi hotspot in the square near the red telephone booth, that was much stronger. This period property has tons of character, and is very well decorated. You can really get a sense of living in a small town, with the vans that come in at 7am, and park in the main square for a few hours -- for the locals to buy groceries, fresh fruit and vegetables. We loved wandering around Mdina as well, with the atmospheric narrow streets, and old buildings. It's well worth staying in the Mdina, rather than being a day tripper. Host: The host was not here during our stay, so her mother who runs the shop next door, and lives next door, saw to our needs and greeted us on arrival. She was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. This place stands well on its own merits, rating this 5-star review easily. The owner did send us an email after our departure stressing the need for a 5-star review and implied that TripAdvisor would penalize her if she didn't get 5 star reviews. We feel that this was unnecessary, and detracted from our experience. If we were to go back to Mdina, we would certainly stay here again!!

We booked for a one week holiday having previously visited Mdina many times before, but as holidaymakers staying elsewhere on Malta. It was during these previous visits that we fell in love with Mdina and decided to holiday there one day. So we were delighted when we found this beautiful property. The booking process was simple and straightforward and when we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by Joanna who is Andrea, the owner's mother. We given a tour of the property and shown where everything was. This included a generous welcome pack of snacks, bread and other essentials. Joanna was kind enough to organise a parking permit for our hire car and parking was available in the square directly outside the property. The accommodation was generously sized and comfortable for a couple. Most evenings we sat on the upstairs balcony, sipping from a glass of wine, watching the world go by and enjoying Mdina's ambient setting. Throughout our stay Joanna and her husband Joseph made us feel extremely welcome and were helpful and hospitable hosts. There are numerous amenities in nearby Rabat and restaurants and bars within walking distance. This is an excellent base from which to experience Mdina and travel to other parts of Malta. We loved our stay and would highly recommend this property.

It is hard to overstate how spectacularly this property is situated. To me, Mdina is the most beautiful city in Malta. It is especially pretty at night, when most all the tourists are gone. The bedroom and living room balconies overlook the focal point of the city, St. Paul's Square, directly across the square from St. Paul's cathedral. After a day of sightseeing, I loved coming back to our little balcony in Mdina. If the weather is right, it is hard to beat the feeling of relaxing there with a glass of wine.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, this is a comfortable house in the beautiful central square of Mdina.
