Our Property Manager Trudi would be more than happy to assist you with any information you need to help make your stay a pleasant one.
Towels and bed linen are supplied and our wonderful house keeper, Cynthia will visit once a week to make sure you have everything you need and clean the house for you.
Gardeners and the pool guy both visit once a week and keep the garden and pool looking lovely and leaf free.
There is plenty of local information at the house and we are happy to chat to you before hand if you want suggestions.

Yes Yes Yes Yes, definitely!
You know when you go somewhere and instantly fall in love?? Well this is the property that has done that for me. The house is such a treat, it has everything that you need. It has history and character even before you look at the artwork and features. There are plenty of areas to take a moment for yourself if needs be, that’s if the chickens and the monkeys don’t come for a look see! The gardens are full of life with fruit trees and palms and beautiful flowers, there are even hummingbirds if you are quick enough to see them, sadly neither me or my friends did though. We even saw the odd meerkat and went out looking for the tiny frogs 🐸 in the bushes in the dark by torchlight 😁. The location of the house allows easy access to everywhere you may wish to go. The beautiful beaches along Carlisle Bay are a 10 minute stroll at the most. Everything is Bajan pace, no rushing anywhere…take your time. Enjoy beautiful places with lovely friendly people. Whatever activity you choose to do or not, you can be sure of a big welcome. Rafeen, you have been a treat. I’d like to thank Emma B for sharing her lovely house, it’s fab. I will definitely be recommending this to all my friends. We will be back tbc…..

Perfect house , perfect location
A long awaited months holiday finally came and what a fabulous holiday it was , made even more special by the beautiful house we stayed in , it was perfect , family , pool , monkeys, chickens , neighbours , Thankyou Emma , trudi and Cynthia for allowing us to stay in such a beautiful home , we will be back ; maria and family 🙏🏼❤️

Stunning house
What a special house this is! It is full of history which has not been lost with the modernisations that have been done. Brilliant area - near the beach, towns and right opposite the racecourse. Everything we could need was there. Help was a phone call away from the wonderful people who look after the property. Pool, barbecue, Wi-Fi and sun, what more could you want?!

Fantastic house in an amazing location
We had a fabulous holiday in Rafeen with our teenage boys. The house is stunning with loads of space both inside and out. It is really well equipped and the pool is great. It's the perfect place to enjoy the Barbados sunshine! The location is also ideal, with gorgeous beaches, restaurants etc nearby. Our teenagers loved the water sports on offer - surfing, paddle boarding etc. Everyone was really helpful and friendly, I would definitely visit again.

A gracious and comfortable home
We are enjoying our stay in this spacious and gracious home, full of charm and character.
Ideal for a family stay as everyone has enough space to have a quiet moment or two!
Comfortable and airy and near to fabulous Carlisle Bay, within a 20 minute walk and Pebbles beach in less than 10 minutes.
Thankyou Rafeen - we will enjoy the rest of our time here, loving seeing your humming birds and monkeys and we hope to meet again!

Disappointing
So having visited Barbados numbers of times over the last 10 years and rented many villas we had high hopes for this lovely house. Yes it is a nice house, with nice old furniture but that is where nice stops. Not mentioned in the details of the house is the fact the pool backs directly onto the neighbours patio, there are even 3 steps down to their place. It is not secluded by any stretch of the imagination. You sit by pool and watch them come and go just 3 feet away in their cars, along the driveway which is shared, again not told about this until arrival. Clearly the land at some point was sold and the cottage built. They are long term tenants. The security gate at night must be locked as apparently the neighbour told us it is not a safe area at night, we were pretty shocked by this on the first day until we heard the dogs. Oh my goodness, every night about 7pm and then again at 4.00am the other neighbour to the right has 2 large security dogs out all night in yard barking. We did not get a single all night sleep out of 15 nights. The master bedroom has a very poor bed that screams when you get in, we tried WD40 to no avail; NO curtains, sun rises around 3.30am to 4.15am so you will not sleep if you do not have an eye mask. I did not have one unfortunately. The shower in the main bedroom is scary, it is like a game of russian roulette, you do not know if you will freeze or burn, it would not cost much to put in a new one. The whole place needs some TLC, outdoor furniture is very old, some chairs were broken. Back at Christmas but wont be staying here, it does not offer value for money, privacy or a decent nights sleep.

A Fabulous Time At The Garrison!!
Incredibly beautiful setting for a spacious comfortable colonial heritage bungalow in a remarkable setting, close by the serene Bridgetown race track; a race track Barbados style - open immaculate tree lined, encircled by beautifully preserved 19th century architecture making up the Garrison area of town. A stroll from gorgeous unspoilt beaches, tennis courts, and boutique restaurants and shops. An open friendly atmosphere in town and a pool to relax in, in the garden, if even the short stroll to the beach feels too taxing!🤗

Paradise.
Rafeen was a little piece of paradise on earth ... a beautiful setting, a clean, well equipped villa and wonderful people to look after you. We could not find any faults ... loved watching the horses on their morning gallops and simply fell in love with the green monkeys that visited the garden on several occasions, an unbelievable experience.
Cannot recommend Rafeen highly enough ... we had a wonderful time. This was our third visit to Barbados and by far the best. We have many fond memories, great photos and Rafeen will always have a special place in our hearts.

Idéalement placé
Nous avons passé de belles vacances en partie grâce à cette maison chargée d histoire de ce magnifique pays. Nous avons eu la chance d assister à la racing gold cup qui est un événement national. L absence de télévision est un pur bonheur, les petits singes viennent se montrer le matin dans le jardin ainsi que les colibris... les chambres sont confortables et la cuisine bien équipée... les voisins étaient très sympathiques...idéalement placée car au calme mais à 2 mn des plages à pied et proche de Bridgetown... nous recommandons cette maison qui est un merveilleux nid au paradis !

Amazing Place
I stayed at Rafeen with my husband for three weeks. It is a gorgeous, renovated historic house overlooking the Garrison. Most days we chilled by the pool then headed to the beach 5 mins walk away. It was so laid back! There is a racetrack opposite so we had trackside views of the horses, and when we were feeling energetic we did some sightseeing at other listed properties nearby, and also headed into Bridgetown a short drive away. We also hired a car and toured the whole island. It is surprisingly easy to navigate! Once we'd seen the sights we were really happy to just relax poolside. Can't wait to go again!
