They have been very good at organising courses and also providing help in order to provide you our visitors with the best and safest accommodation. We are good and Ready to go. These last few months have been very distressing but now we can see the light at the end of the tunnel and we would like to take some time to let all our future guests to know what we are now doing. to enhance our cleaning protocols. Firstly here at Heronlea we are adding days after you leave and calling them cleaning days. It gives us the extra time to clean and sanitise. Some soft furnishings and toys may have been removed all together others are spray sanitised. Entry is by key safe , we will let our guest know the code before they arrive.We do hope that this new regime gives everyone more confidence that we are taking this situation seriously and hope to see new and old friends very soon. Heronlea Cottage it is situated in a secluded yet totally convenient setting. The cottage overlooks a large lawned area which has a large pond and lots of wild birds, you will think that you are at least 20 miles from Dunoon, such is the location that you will not believe without visiting us that you could have such peace and seclusion and be so near to everything.Deer and other visitors regularly stroll though the parkland. Please check our rates and last minute booking special offers.! The cottage is very comfortably furnished, it is warm and heated throughout the winter when it isn't allowed to become cold .You may use the heating as necessary without extra charges. At certain times of the year when birds are nesting etc or when it has been extremely wet parts of the garden may not be advisable especially with a dog, however there are still extensive areas of woodland and farmland when you may exercise your dog.Please note, your pet may not be allowed out on its own at any time or without being on a lead as there are sheep adjacent to the cottage. When you arrive if there are any problems ie very wet ground etc we will let you know. Our private orchard area of the garden is not open to the public.The forests and forest walks are available to you all year and they are very extensive with fantastic views over they River Clyde and Dunoon from the easily accessible forest track directly from Heronlea. Cycling along the forest tracks is very popular and leads to Loch Striven and other areas such as Glen Kin. and Toward Innellan and Dunoon. Heronlea Cottage has two bedrooms on the ground floor and sleeps four + a small infant,. No extra guests please as the facilities are not really suitable for more. ..Adjacent to the bedrooms is a large family shower room, The newly fitted Kitchen and a separate toilet complete the layout on the ground floor.The spacious lounge is on the upper floor and has been thoughtfully planned giving you somewhere to recover after a long days sightseeing walking or travelling and has views over the garden and through the glen. towards Ben Mor and the surrounding mountains and a small library and reading area. As a matter of course we take two small dogs the size of a cocker spaniel at any one time. Dogs may not be left on the premises alone. Dunoon has so much to offer and as the gateway to the Cowal Peninsula we are certain that you will find lots to interest you. Heronlea Cottage is also in a prime place for those intending to visit the Cowal Games being in walking distance of the stadium 15 MINS by foot 2 mins by car. In and around Dunoon there are golf courses and two swimming pools, plus all the usual facilities library, hospital, two supermarkets, independent shops on the main street and lots of good restaurants cafes and bars. You will find lots of good walking routes, and biking routes fishing by permit (easily purchased) the nearest DAC loch is 200 yards from the cottage Activites for the young and not so young including fishing golf quad biking archery swimming etc. We are keen to encourage those liking live music and theatre as the newly renovated Queens Hall and Burgh Hall generally have entertainment , Local bars have live music too which is always popular and just over a mile from Heronlea Cottage.Plus

Interaction avec les clients: Nous souhaitons la bienvenue à nos invités et expliquer où et comment les choses fonctionnent si nécessaire après que si vous avez besoin ou souhaitez des informations ou vous aider sont les bienvenus pour demander si nous sommes ou nous appeler. Nous quittons habituellement notre invité pour profiter de la paix et la tranquillité mais sont heureux de discuter et d'expliquer les meilleurs endroits où aller manger, etc. L'avantage de Heronlea sur les autres chalets de vacances et cabanes etc est son emplacement calme et paisible, pas d'autres cabines avec des gens frapper les aboiements des chiens de portes, de faire du bruit pendant que vous essayez de se détendre. Quand il devient noir, il est sombre et vous avez une vue magnifique sur les étoiles Heronlea est le mieux placé pour ceux qui aiment être à proximité des installations de Dunoon environ un mile et encore avoir la paix et l'isolement d'un miles cottage où que vous soyez

An enjoyable Autumn break in peaceful surroundings
Even though the cottage is just a mile and a half out of Dunoon it is a place of peace and tranquility, set in wonderful countryside. Every day a herd of six red deer grazed within just metres of the cottage oblivious too ur presence and red squirrels lived in the tree only five metres from our door. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. Jeannie Green ensured we were comfortable. She even supplied home bakes. We ate out most of the time and found Dunoon and surrounding area to have a large number of restaurants and cafes. All were very reasonably priced and every one which we ate in served good food.

A hidden gem
We stayed for a week and were very impressed. Great spot with super facilities. Would definitely stay again.

Peace and tranquility
5 nights stay at Heronlea, on arrival met by Jean who had left some home made scones with homemade jam , lovely treat, much appreciated after 4 hour drive. Cottage excellent spot you’d think you were in the middle of nowhere,not about a mile from Dunoon, best of both worlds. Deer, red squirrels and a heron all appeared regularly in the garden. Jean and Kevin were excellent hosts. This cottage deserves 5star plus. Would definitely stay again.

A perfect haven - home from home
This is the second time we've stayed at Heronlea cottage, no we didn't dream it, it was idyllic the first time, and if anything , even better the second time. Jean and Kevin are the most welcoming hosts and they go the extra mile to ensure their guests are comfortable, happy and at ease. Fresh flowers, fruit and cakes to greet us, the kettle is on and there is fresh milk in the fridge. Superbly clean and well loved, Heronlea cottage is situated in grounds that have deer roaming, red squirrels in the trees, pheasants wandering and an abundance of garden birds. we loved it, we will certainly be returning again next year. Thank you Kevin and Jean.

Heronlea cottage
We had an amazing experience in Heronlea cottage, the owner went beyond our expectations, so friendly, attentive and accommodating. There were cakes for us and chocolates for the kids waiting in the kitchen on our arrival. The owner offered help when we were cooking family dinner for almost 20 ppl, they brought extra plates and chairs. The property was spotless and smelling of fresh linnen. The cottage is fully equipped and beautifully decorated with plenty of homely touches and it is situated on stunning gtounds with amazing views. Couldn't fault it, well recommended, definitely will be coming back.

Fantastic 2 night stay
Made to feel really welcome by Jean, absolutely spotless cottage. Fruit and chocolate and home made jam in the fridge for us which was a lovely treat. The location of the cottage was amazing, I would highly recommend booking a stay here,it was so relaxing. Was amazing looking out the Kitchen window in the morning to see the deer walking about. We didn't want to leave. Will definitely be back again next year.

Excellent accommodation and welcoming owners
We have just got back from 6 days staying in this lovely cottage, run by Jean and Kevin. We were more than happy with the cottage and the welcome we received was above and beyond what we have had anywhere else we have rented. The area is spectacular with an abundance of wildlife in the grounds of the cottage or surrounding area. I would recommend this cottage to all our friends. We will be visiting again for certain. Thank you jean for the jam, it will not last long now we are home! The girls love it too! X

Nous avons été très chaleureusement accueillis par Jeannie et Kevin, des hôtes merveilleux. Le cottage est sublime : cosy, douillet, propre, avec un grand terrain tout autour (prairie, forêt, mare), le paradis pour les amoureux de nature et ce, à 3 min en voiture de Dunoon. Le meilleur endroit où nous avons séjourné durant notre road trip à travers l’ecosse.

Vous pouvez vous promener à Dunoon depuis le chalet (si vous le souhaitez). Il existe de nombreuses installations pour votre plaisir. Dans un rayon de 10 km, il y a beaucoup plus à voir et à faire et dans un rayon de 30 km, encore plus fascinants et beaux châteaux de paysages, etc.Les chiens marchent et font de l'exercice directement à partir du chalet situé dans les champs environnants lorsqu'il n'y a pas de stock ailleurs, dans les bois et le long le sentier des chiens et les promenades en forêt.

De Dunoon Western Ferries est le plus facile et le meilleur. Tourner à droite du tablier Ferry et parcourir la route côtière du port de plaisance. après le port de plaisance et à la jonction suivante t (magasin de tapis devant vous), tournez à gauche, regardez pour Sandbank l'école primaire à gauche, à environ un demi-mile. Ensuite, à côté est la cour / cimetière tombe sur votre gauche aussi, après cela, vous descendez une petite colline et au fond dans le creux de la route il y a un signe de virage à droite sur les deux côtés de ce virage à droite en disant que Heronlea. Tournez à travers cette passerelle, au tournant en bas à droite par la passerelle Heronlea à nouveau. chalet Heronlea le long de cette voie à environ 100 verges. Un parking signé.
