Fab house. Home from home. Spotless and very quiet and safe. We were a party of 6 adults. Plenty room. Views beautiful from the big lounge. Lovely and warm as well in the house. This was welcomed as when we were there weather a bit on the chilly side. Not far from the town centre. 20 to 30 min walk depending on pace. Easy access for ferry to other islands. We done Sanday. Very lovely. Nice pubs in Kirkwall and the gin distillery along with Highland Park distillery which is a pit 5 to 10 min walk recommended. Lovely experience in Orkney.

We had a wonderful week in Orkney staying at Cunningair Holiday Apartment. The accommodation was very well equipped, views from the sitting room were fabulous. The beds were comfortable and the owners were on hand to give us advice and we're very helpful. The accommodation was situated an easy walk from Kirkwall centre. We found plenty good restaurants and cafes. St Magnus Cathedral, the Palaces and Tankerness House were all fascinating. Further afield there was lots to keep us busy. Italian Chapel, Maeshowe, Tomb of Lions, Pier Art Centre, Stromness to name but a view. I heartily recommend this property for a stay in Orkney, especially with good friends to share the experience.

This extremely clean and comfortable accommodation is at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac near the Highland Park distillery, but overlooking the Scapa distillery as well as the sea in both directions. The bus goes from the airport right to the end of the road, and runs every half hour, so no need to get a taxi, although when we did on a drizzly evening or two, they are also well-price. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk into Kirkwall, from where buses are regular and efficient, with really friendly drivers. Wanting to visit some of the other islands further afield, we did hire a car for 3days, but buses to Stromness and Tingwall to get the ferry to Rousay are easily accessible. Pubs and restaurants in Kirkwall are good and the locals very friendly, too. The cottage is roomy (there were only 4 of us but we wanted a property with 2 bathrooms, both of which had fabulous Orkney soaps and shampoos) and there was equipment for every eventuality in the kitchen. The owners live next door, so if there should be a query about anything, they are on hand. Beautiful islands, amazing history and lovely house

Great find - plenty of space, 4 good sized bedrooms with 1 ensuite & 1 family bathroom, very well equipped kitchen and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating area. Easy to find, 15 minutes walk to harbour area. Met by Colin on arrival as planned. Thoroughly recommend for large groups and families.

Stayed here and in The Flat, which is downstairs, with six colleagues for a work trip. Great accommodation. Absolutely spotless with very comfy beds. The owners were very welcoming and left you alone but were always nearby if you had a question or two. We had two cars and there was plenty of room for parking. Lovely views across the hills and down to the sea. Would definitely stay here again when our company next visits Orkney.

The house was well equipped-in fact everything you could want. The views fantastic from the property and an easy stroll into the town

Very spacious and clean apartment. The attention to the details was excellent: lovely sheets, electric torches in each room as well as heated towel rails. Lovely views, private garden and large deck. Miss the sunsets already! An easy walk (downhill) into town. Very friendly and helpful hosts - both online and in person. Would definitely consider renting this apartment again.

Appartement agréable et lumineux, bien équipé et propre. Accueil très sympa avec une corbeille de petits gâteaux et une bouteille de lait dans le frigo. Nous sommes arrivés tard dans la soirée et le propriétaire nous a gentiment emmené en voiture au supermarché pour faire quelques courses. Wifi aléatoire.

On the edge of Kirkwall this four bedroom flat is well equipped and offers four big bedrooms. The accommodation was very clean and the views from the dining table were magnificent. It was very cold when we were staying so we really appreciated the efficient heating system. We would definitely stay there again if we come back to wonderful Orkney.
