Perfect for young families or couples seeking a rural retreat and extra special break. Surrounded by rolling countryside with lovely open views peaceful setting and only a few minutes drive from the many sandy beaches.

Yet again, a perfect stay!
Third stay at this accommodation and it remains as excellent as the first. This time we stayed with elderly parents with mobility issues - walk in shower and everything on the level worked brilliantly. Dog loved it too with enclosed garden and yet no 'doggy' smell at all and cleanliness is 5*. Owners do not bother you at all, although on hand if any problems. Cannot fault it and will be booking to return for our next visit :)

Beautiful cottage set in a peaceful location
Hunters Lodge is a beautiful barn with everything you could need for a holiday. Lovely open fields out the back which were perfect for walking the dog. Caroline is friendly and very helpful. She was always available to answer any questions and gave us some suggestions on where to visit in and around Bude. The monster slip and slide was just a short 5 minute drive away and great fun for everyone. Bude town and Summerleaze and crooklets beach were a 10 minute drive away. Bude sea pool is just amazing and well worth a visit. We arrived at Hunters Lodge to find a delicious Lemon drizzle cake which was a lovely though and went down well after a long drive. Thank you so much Caroline. We have had an amazing week.

Superb self catering accommodation
Wonderful, spacious accommodation, perfect for a family of four. The homemade cake and pint of milk in the fridge was very much appreciated after a long drive to get there. The kitchen is so well equipped with everything you need. Lovely, comfortable lounge with doors out onto a secluded, enclosed garden with BBQ, table and chairs. We loved seeing the cows over the fence. Well furnished throughout and the owners had thought of everything. Lots of books and toys including a bodyboard which our children enjoyed using on the beach! We would definitely recommend this holiday house.

Absolutely wonderful, couldn't choose better place to spend your holiday.
This is a lovely ground floor cottage,ideal for my disabled son.A lovely family holiday could be spent here.Beautiful location,close to Bude, with all it has to offer. Beaches, countryside, Shopping in Bude centre.
A family owned business,a lovely welcome with cake etc, yummy. friendly, helpful, understanding. I can't thank them enough.

Fantastic as always
First stay at Hunter’s Lodge after staying in The Hayloft in April (smaller party this time!). Both properties are faultless and provide everything you could possibly need or want. Both times we bought our dog - perfect for 4 legged friends with enclosed garden and fields behind for running off all their energy! Don’t be out off by the fact they takes dogs - no evidence at all that dogs had stayed - no smell etc and cleanliness is top rate. I cannot recommend these properties enough. Caroline is there if needed but otherwise leaves you to do your own thing - spot on! Will def be back next summer 😊 Thank you again Caroline.

What an amazing place to stay both dogs and teenagers loved it especially the bath !! Amazing surroundings views . Owners nice and friendly leave you too it there to help straight away if need anything . Definitely recommend it as a place to stay best place we have stayed .

What a find! We didn't want to leave.
A peaceful location in the gorgeous Cornish countryside. Hunters Lodge is a single storey barn accommodation situated in a courtyard between the owners property and a larger rental. The family were friendly and helpful but by no means imposing, we were greeted with a lovely cake and flowers.
We needed a property which would suit a young labrador, my elderly mother, who is not so mobile and ourselves, couple in 50's. This property ticked all the boxes. The rooms are spacey with huge luxurious kitchen and bathroom (I want that bathroom) the walk in shower was amazing, brilliant for my mum. The property is equipped with everything you need, I don't remember once thinking that anything was missing, the owners have thought of everything. We don't have young children but this is ideal for a young family, there are toys and games and a brilliant enclosed private garden, suitable for both children and dogs. There is a hose in the garden to clean off sand and dirt from pets. At the rear of the garden are the fields belonging to the family farm, we used these to walk our dog but be respectful to any livestock around.
The property is in a quiet area but within easy reach of main roads to take you to the nearby lovely beaches and Cornish villages. We drove a couple of times to Sandymouth bay and walked the cliff tops, this was also handy as it is a dog friendly beach. We also visited Boscastle, Padstow and Polperro. At the Lodge there is a vast amount of information on walks, beaches, eating out etc
The town of Bude is about a 10 minute drive away and here you can find several supermarkets.
This was our 8th visit to Cornwall and the best accommodation we have stayed in. We will definitely return in the future. Many Thanks to the owners.

Perfect location for Bude beaches. The accomodation is stunning and fitted throughout with high end features. The beds are something else! My son said he had never had such a good nights sleep in all his life! Probably one of the best places we have rented on hols.

Perfect Cottage, home from home.
We stayed here for Christmas 2017, with friends who stayed next door in Hunter's Lodge. We could not have asked for more. The homes were decorated for Christmas with a hamper in each cottage on arrival. The cottages are both well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owner's Caroline and James can not do enough for you and are so accommodating. We would have no hesitation in recommending these cottages and would certainly stay again.
