Your private resort overlooking the ocean, great for large groups
Large roomy house can easily accommodate 3-4 couples plus a few children. Awesome views in the common areas and from the pool. Really really large kitchen. House came with a car and we had some hired help cooking so it was very easy and relaxing. Other amenities included Wifi and washer and dryer. A/c in the bedrooms. Road is a bit rough getting up to the house. The roads in general in St Lucia are not the best, so pick your most proficient driver if you plan to rent a car (Left hand side of road driving as in the UK). The owners are next door and were very helpful. After going to Castries, and other cities we came to the conclusion that the Rodney Bay area was the best area to stay in terms of shopping and nearby conveniences.

A place for everyone to enjoy
We just returned to Canada after spending 2 weeks at ChateauDeaveu with our 4 adult children and their partners. There were 9 of us in total.
The house was so spacious that it provided room for us all.
The pool area and the outdoor deck were the most popular parts of the house- we never ate inside as it was so beautiful on the deck! The cleaning staff were lovely and the hosts, Maran and Richard were extremely helpful in helping with bookings and reccomendations. Their kindness was much appreciated.
You need a car to stay at this rental-it is too far to walk to Rodney Bay. We also booked day passes at the Lesport resort ( nearby) on 2 occasions for 100 USD and thoroughly enjoyed the 2 days!
Golfed on the course close to the house but it was nothing special.
Bought day passes for 1 day at the local Sandals but LeSport was much better.
The house was everything we wanted- one needs to know that it is 20 years old but a very relaxed and welcoming place.
We loved the pool and cabbana area for our large group.
We had to purchase drinking water for the 2 weeks and felt it should have been provided- however, we all agree that the house was a great choice for our family- the view is to die for!!
We would book the house again if we return to St Lucia.

Amazing Stay and Great Location
Me and a few friends stayed here in January after a wedding in Vieux Fort. I cannot stress enough how great it was to finally get to the Chateau and relax. The family that rents this space were amazing. They gave us a quick tour of Rodney bay, showed us all the best places to go, and to top it all off left us their car so we could get back and forth into town.
Its a very wide open property with a great breeze, great views, and very private. If I wasn't at work I would go on and on an on, but alas I promised I would give 5 stars to this great property. Cant wait to return!

Great
We stayed at Château devau during Diwali périod for 4 days current October We were two families travelling together. The property is fantastic, the area is beautiful and the pool and gardens are delightful.The way in which the stunning Rustic style house has been built and decorated is gorgeous - really charming, authenticity and character. The garden was tranquil and relaxing with spectacular views across the sea Watching the sun set in the evening was beautiful. We all enjoyed playing volleyball in the garden. We also had fun in the swimming pool. . We would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful place .These have already become best souvenirs in our lives. What a wonderful haven, nestling up in the cliff with views of the Sea and on the front island martinique and surrounded by rich tropical plants and flowers For a real getaway this is just awesome

Fabulous, the most relaxing holiday.
This is a beautiful villa with stunning views. We loved everything about it, we relaxed so much we couldn't decide whether to lie in the pool or the hammock. We all spent a lot of time peering out to sea trying to decide if we were seeing whales, so take binoculars as this is an area where the whales and dolphins come by. Richard and Maran provide a people carrier as the villa is in a secluded spot and the car is essential. Everything was wonderfully clean and tidy and we loved the indoor garden area and the mini beach for kids by the pool.

Beautiful views and totally relaxing.
We have recently returned from a 10 night stay at Chateau Devaux. My husband and I travelled with another couple and we had a wonderful, relaxing time. We had fabulous weather, and enjoyed the pool and view from the villa veranda - this is where we spent most of our time just soaking up the view of the sea, enjoying the fresh air. The villa came with a car so we able to get out and about and do some exploring. All in all a very good holiday and the villa was perfect.

Fabulous home with gorgeous views
Chateau Devaux is the nicest place we have ever stayed in the Carribean! The house is beautifully decorated and is large enough for everyone to have their own space. The multiple plantation doors open onto the huge porch that overlooks the sea so that you always have a beautiful view whether you're inside the house or enjoying the porch. The kitchen is huge and well furnished, and the beds are very comfortable. The pool is large and there are lots of comfortable deck chairs & a gazebo to enjoy. Everything is crisp and clean but yet very comfortable and inviting.
The owners Richard and Maran Devaux have the special knack of being extremely helpful without being intrusive. They helped us plan our agenda and recommended things to see and do. Many times they made the reservations for us and we just showed up for the adventure. No headaches trying to figure out where to go or how to manage the details. That was HUGE.
St Lucia is a gorgeous place to visit and Chateau Devaux is truly a magical place to stay. We will definitely go back!! Barbara and David Oakley, Raleigh, NC
