Great Piedmont hilltop villa
Well equipped, superb views and charming hostess. On top of a hill beautifully set amongst vineyards you do need a car to get around. Comfortable and spacious.

Accueillis chaleureusement dans un très beau domaine
C’est dans un cadre authentique surplombant les vignes que nous avons découvert le domaine de Giovanna. Elle nous a fait partager l‘amour de sa terre avec un enthousiasme communicatif et nous a apporté avec une attention particulière toutes les informations que nous recherchions.
La maison et le jardin sont très bien équipés, rien n’a été oublié pour les moments agréables, en famille, pour petits et grands. Le barbecue, la table de ping-pong, les balançoires, la riche végétation où l’on respire la tranquillité et l’énergie.
Giovanna nous a même ouvert sa porte pour fêter la victoire de la France pour la Coupe du monde. Merci Giovanna, ne changez rien !"
"Located in an authentic place overlooking the vineyards, it was a pleasure to discover the farmhouse of Giovanna. She shared with us the love she has for her land with enthusiasm and gave us all the information we needed to organize our stay.The house and the garden are very well equipped, nothing is missing to spend great time with friends or family, either for young or old people. The barbecue, the tennis table, the swing, the vegetation… will make your holidays unforgettable. Serenity and positive energy!

Incredible top of the vineyard location and a congenial hostess to match!
Located minutes from Alba and the regions best wineries and road biking the Grape Pergola House incorporates panoramic views with serene surroundings. Giovanna made fresh breads, cakes, cookies and one evening prepared a wonderful meal typical of the region for the six of us.
We were in Italy for a couple weeks and stayed at several places but we all agreed this was the most special. If you find yourself in the region and do not like hotels and crowds this is your haven!

Memorable guests!
The day when they told me that they would go around the hills by bike I was very embarrassed ... these are roads for cycling champions and not for ordinary mortals. Amused by my difficulty, they told me the secret: cycling with the pedal assistance that they later rented in Alba.
Thanks and if you come back (as I hope) I will prepare other good things and suggest other excursions.

Capo d’Anno fiabesco!
Siamo stati a Cascina Bricchetto Langhe per qualche giorno a Capodanno 2018. Una famiglia, mamma/papa’, 2 figli e nonni. La casa era curata nei minimi dettagli, non mancava nulla! La signora gentilissima...piena di informazioni utili (cantine da visitare, cene da prenotare...)... host super! Il caminetto in sala ci voleva....e siamo stati davvero fortunati ad aver visto il magico ‘mare’ di nebbia! Langhe consigliatissimo, cascina Brichetto anche! Il cane della cascina stupendo!!!

Grazie mille! Spero ritorniate in un'altra stagione per scoprire come si presenta diverso lo stesso panorama e sperimentare ciò che si fa all'aperto qui: barbecue, ping pong, conversazioni guardando le stelle e sorseggiando uno dei nostri splendidi vini, cene a lume di candela, relax in terrazza ascoltando il canto degli uccellini ... e altro ancora.

Our Stay at Cascina Bricchetto
Our group of five stayed at Cascina Bricchetto, in the Grape Pergola House, from September 19 to 25, 2017 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We found the bedrooms to be spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated with antique furniture.
We made good use of the well-equipped kitchen.
The house is situated on a high hill, with an excellent view of the Piemonte region and the Alps beyond. While the house is in the country, it is close to several small towns which enabled us to easily shop for groceries. As well, it is within a reasonable driving distance to several of the more remarkable towns of the region such as Asti, Alba, Bra, Acqui Terme, and many of the wine-related villages (Barolo, Barbaresco and Neive).
We found Giovanna to be an extremely welcoming and helpful host. It is obvious that she knows and loves the region well. She will arrange visits to local wineries and other activities of interest.
We highly recommend the house, and would gladly return if we were in the region again.

I add that there are 2 barbecue outdoors where you can cook any food and enjoy it in the covered terraces ... maybe romantically by candlelight. Thank you, gentle Canadian guests!

We went with a large group and rented both houses - they were, clean, comfortable, and truly charming with sweeping views, and we loved the shaded veranda for reading and dining. Giovanna and her assistant Amelia were wonderful hosts, and they absolutely made the visit. We were traveling with our 19 month old and when we arrived, we found a crib and high chair set up, a small bathtub waiting, and a special set of plastic dishes for the little guy. When they couldn't find a babysitter for us, Amelia even stepped in so we could go out for the evening! They prepared a fabulous brunch (cheeses, homemade jams, breads and cakes etc.) and amazing dinner for our group, and made spot-on recommendations for dining and wine tasting in the area. The hospitality and local perspective truly made the visit - we can't recommend Cascina Bricchetto highly enough!

A wonderful week in Piedmont
My husband and I spent a heavenly week at the Bread Oven House. The setting is truly magical-- we woke up several mornings and were able to see the Alps in the distance. We were lucky enough to visit during the final days of grape harvesting and it was fascinating to see first hand about the importance of wine making to the region.
Giovanna was a perfect host. She arranged for several visits to wineries and each was special. We also consulted her on recommendations for other sites and restaurants and each suggestion was great. She takes great pride in her houses and the region and that clearly comes through in her hospitality
The house was immaculate and very comfortable. Glassware and linens were spotless and the bathrooms and bedrooms pristine. And the setting is just indescribable. Once you get used to the hilly climb up to the house, you feel on top of the world. We ended up just loving the region and will return to explore more of the lovely small towns and villages and the delicious wine of the region.
Our two sons joined us for s few days-- both are in their late twenties, from New York City, well traveled and often sophisticated in their opinions-- but their eyes grew bigger and bigger as they explored the lovely countryside. And, we all topped it off with a evening game of ping pong in Giovanna's yard, complete with wine and vistas that are one- of- a- kind.

Days of Harvest are tiring for us and were fascinating for you, interruptions due to rain and the many hours of work that you have seen were important to understand more about us: "the langhetti" (inhabitants of the Langhe).
I enjoy reading what you have written on the Cà dra Topia emerged from your experience, are certainly useful information to prospective guests.

Luxurious holiday home with majestic view
Giovanna, the hostess and owner of this luxurious and charming holiday house, has so much to offer. Prior to our arrival, Giovanna had sent us several, interesting suggestions of activities in which we could partake to make our stay in this beautiful region a memorable one. She even did some additional research to find a traditional, cultural festival (folk dance and musicians) so that we could experience the culture of the people of the Piedmont region.
Upon our arrival, we were met by Giovanna who welcomed us with open arms. She walked us through the house explaining how the appliances and fireplace worked, shown us where everything was and made us feel very comfortable.
Cascina Bricchetto-Cà Der Forn is located on top of a hill surrounded by vineyards. It is immaculate and tastefully decorated with antiques.
The kitchen and washrooms are well equipped with everything from dishes, pots and pans, spices, pasta noodles, towels and linen, toiletries, detergents, etc. Two bottles of local wine, homemade jams, hazelnuts from Giovanna's orchards were on the counter upon our arrival.
The view from our place was exceptional, even on cloudy days. On a clear day, you can actually see the Alps at a distance – absolutely stunning, panoramic view.
Giovanna is very knowledgeable about Italy, and specifically of the Langhe region and all that it has to offer. She has many connections in the various businesses and it is easy for her to make suggestions that will best suit your needs. In her professional and generous self, she taught us how to make a Tirami Sù and shared with us her garden herbs.
I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone who wishes to live a great experience, away from the crowds.

Difficult was finding the music and traditional dances Occitane the Cuneo valleys, your satisfaction is my reward.
We have a fairly wide range of proposals, I am also available to seek / provide the answer to the wishes of the guests (in this case also the "Tiramisu"), last year another special experience was to organize a tour in the old stone mills operating in the Langhe.

We stayed in the Ca Da Tropia home, which was well-equipped, clean, and comfortable. Giovanna does an excellent job attending to the little things which make one's stay all the more pleasant. For example, each bathroom had a little basket of multiple washcloths, and a hairdryer. The kitchen was also well-equipped. The views from either side of the place were amazing. Rolling hills of vineyards, with the Alps in the background (when it was clear enough to see them). We enjoyed grabbing our cameras (and glasses of wine), and trying to find the best place to capture the sun setting over the mountains. Every view was "the best." Giovanna arranged winery tours/tastings at both Caschina Bruciata and Dacasto Duilio. We thoroughly enjoyed both wineries, which had wonderful, well-priced wines.

The cellars are located in the area of production of Barbaresco (Cascina Bruciata) and Monferrato (Duilio Da Casto) production area of Barbera d'Asti. Each winery produces different types of wine:
- Cascina Bruciata: Barbaresco, Dolcetto, Barbera Langhe, Nebbiolo,
- Duilio Da Casto: 3 types of Barbera d'Asti, Rosso Monferrato, Rosé,
during the tasting they will taste the different types in the company and with the explanations of the producer who transmits his passion and commitment.

Giovanna is wealth of knowledge of all of the best of the area
Not for the timid driver. Very convoluted roads. But well worth getting to the top of the ridge. Best done the first time at least in daylight
