Gorgeous Apartment
Great location, downtown Riquewihr - & on a quiet side street. Beautifully outfitted, spacious, bright, spotless, oodles of charm, lovely covered deck & wonderfully helpful hosts. Perfect stay in Riquewihr - loved the apartment! Definitely recommend as quality accommodation.
We stayed 5 nights in the summer but imagine White Stork would be magical over Christmas. Hope to return one day.

Modern Apartment in the Heart of Riquewir
The location of this 3rd floor apartment is perfect, just off a quiet alleyway with a one minute walk to the main street of the historic town. The apartment is bigger than it looks in the website pictures and everything was spotless and ready for us when we arrived. The air conditioning works well (hot summer!) and the balcony is spacious and overlooks the neighbouring skyline of ancient buildings. We ate all of our meals here. It is hard to believe that you are so close to the centre of town as the apartment (even the balcony) is so quiet. The only thing I would change would be to have more glasses/bowls as we used up the current ones each day but it was not a big problem, we could run the very quiet dishwasher. Those who are seniors or who have mobility problems should be aware that this is a 3rd floor walk-up so all of your luggage and groceries have to be carried up 3 flights of stairs. Not a problem for me (I'm 59) but could be for some. Other than that, I would highly recommend this rental , my wife and I very much enjoyed our week at the White Stork!

The best!
The White Stork was the best of all vacation properties we have rented. Beautiful, chic, clean...just a gem in Riquewihr. From our coffee with fresh warm croissants(bakery opens early) to wine on the balcony in the afternoon, our stay was perfect. We hiked to several other villages and up to medieval castles always taking a picnic lunch with us. Walking to dinner in the evening was delightful. The bed was comfy, bathroom spacious and modern, kitchen well stocked, and loved having a washer/dryer for all our hiking clothes! We used the reserved parking space which was nice. You do have to drive the main cobblestone street to access the space but it wasn't difficult. All in all, we would go back and we will bring our friends as there are several apartments in the same complex. Alsace is a beautiful region and these apartments are charming, the wine is yummy, and the villages picturesque.

Absolutely Perfect
Wow. This is the type of place you can only dream about. It is the top floor of an old winery from the 1500's that has been lovingly restored (and that shows). The pictures are absolutely accurate, and every need has been thought of. I remember getting out of a wonderful shower and stepping into the provided slippers and thinking "if only there was a robe"...and then I noticed them tucked away in a cabinet! There are views from every angle (rooftops from the terrace, vineyard from the bedroom, etc.) The Christmas decorations were beautiful. The key code access is convenient. Jean-Paul and Valerie were both helpful and kind. The town of Riquewihr is so beautiful it's hard to believe it's real. Highly recommend!

Wonderful
First the bad news. White Stork Apartment (WSA) is three floors up well-made, well-lit stairs. That's it for bad news. WSA is the best apartment we have ever used throughout multiple holidays in Europe.
It's medieval monthly meets Vogue design. Powerful, lime-washed structural timbers. wooden floors, comfortable furniture, intelligent design and amenities come together to make a delightful retreat at the top of the stairs. It's large, light and airy.
Very comfortable bedding, excellent bathroom with walk-in shower, well-fitted kitchen with every modern convenience, lovely dining area set for 4 people, and charming homely touches (say hello to the teddy bear for me) make this a great spot to rest after a day out and about. A washing machine/dryer is fitted in the bathroom.
A large balcony, perfect for late afternoon drinks, has views over Riquewihr's ancient roofs and the distant countryside. Very efficient Air conditioning is installed but we didn't need it; natural ventilation provided by the openable windows throughout the Apartment made it unnecessary. WSA is very quiet but is in the heart of Riquewihr; it's minutes to all the restaurants and shops.
The "meet & greet" arrangements were professional and friendly. Secure parking is available for a modest fee and is very convenient.
In my view WSA is simply brilliant.

This apartment was the first thing we booked for our holiday almost 12 months prior to going, even before the airfares. The itinerary of our holiday was also designed around the apartment booking.
As the days approached to when we would drive to Riquewihr, we hoped that we wouldn't be disappointed, as sometimes can happen when you are looking forward to something so much.
Nothing could be further from reality, we parked outside the old town, and found the office very easily, as other have mentioned the 3 flights of stairs might be problematic for people with health or mobility restrictions, but apart from getting our luggage up to the apartment, the stairs were an exercise benefit and not a nuisance.
The parking spot for this apartment is right off the main pedestrian street of the village, so if you are nervous of driving slowly through throngs of people, it might be something to consider. It was really quite easy, but daunting at first.
The apartment is exactly as shown on the website (minus the Christmas decorations) and was a joy to stay in. Everything was fitted out well, the kitchen was fine although there was one or two implements which we couldn't find, but it was easy to use something similar.
The clothes hanging space was limited, but there were shelves and cupboards for clothes so it didn't impact on us.
Relaxing on the balcony and enjoying the view to the vineyard above was magic, and the noise and bustle from the main street doesn't reach the apartment.
We would stay here again without a doubt if we were ever in the region again, and Riquewihr is a good base to drive to other nearby towns.
The only thing I would find useful would be a drop box for the key to enable you to leave the apartment early in the morning or late in the evening, rather than wait for 'normal hours' to do the handover. The washing machine (for laundry) was difficult to use even with instructions in English.
Overall, this place is exceptional, and congratulations to the owner of such a haven of beauty and tranquility.

Luxueux appartement cosy décoré avec beaucoup de gout .appartement très bien équipée avec matériaux de luxe . Situation exceptionnelle en plein cœur du village de Riquewihr. Accueil charmant et chaleureux . Très bon séjour à renouveler .

Outstanding unti
The unit was on the top floor of a walk up but well worth the climb. The views of the town's roof tops, church steeple and vineyards were beautiful. The unit had one king size bed, a modern kitchen and living room with a balcony. Excellent bathroom with a shower. The unit was totally updated and modern. Many a morning we would sit on the balcony and enjoy breakfast with our traveling friends that had a different unit in townl. The place was spotless and right in the heart of the town but set back so you are not impacted by any noises. The unit is air conditioned which was a plus because we were there during a hot spell. The town is beautiful and charming. Well maintained buildings from the 16th and 17th century and some a lot older. Flowers everywhere in window boxes, pots, roundabout, etc. You will love the town, the people and the restaurants. Highly recommend.

FAIRYTALE PERFECTION
We have just returned from our Christmas break in The White Stork and can honestly say that the carent be a better place to spend Christmas. The apartment was much bigger than we anticipated and the views from all the windows were stunning, it has such a lovely calm atmosphere and despite the hustle and bustle outside was incredibly quiet. The decor is lovely, right down to beautiful cutlery and crockery, we have stayed in a lot of 5* hotels and self catering apartments but this definetly ranks amongst the best.
We loved Ricqwahr, it was like being in a fairytale and although it was busy until about 7 at night that only added to the atmosphere. We are already planning when we can go again, maybe this time with some of our extended family. The information provided by the owners both upfront and while we were there was outstanding and made our visit all the more productive

I can only endorse the five star reviews previously posted. The views of the vineyards, the Rhine valley and the Riquewihr rooftops from the apartment and balcony are simply stunning. This is truly luxury accommodation with high quality fixtures and fittings, everything designed for comfort. The attention to detail is superb e.g. vigorous water pressure in the shower but soft flow from the sink tap, remote control bedside light switches, bathrobes and slippers to name but a few.
Riquewihr is an ideal base for exploring the Alsace with enough going on if you fancy a rest day and central to the wine route for excursions. There are plenty of walks from the apartment and if you want to go further without driving there's a reliable bus service along the wine route. We used the apartment's private car park (extra charge when booking) which was a few minutes walk away. Should you choose not to select this option there may be some difficulty finding street parking in daytime, but there should be no problem evening onwards when the town quietens down after the daytrippers leave.
No complaints whatsoever with the White Stork, a fab place to stay for a week (or 2!)
