Very nice house greatly equiped, clean with all sanitary items given Covid-19 situation. Celine and her daugther have been extremely helpful, very nice with great advices to visit the beautiful region and already availables, swiftly reacting. Great stay, strongly recommended. Perhaps the best ever
This gite is exceptional, and the approach to it, and the attitudes of its owners are exemplary. Probably the most elegant gite that we have ever rented: brilliantly equipped, discretely sited, easy to find and so totally silent at night that we slept for almost 11 hours. The only potential improvements would be a larger parking/turning area, and a means if access earlier in the day. We would definitely stay here again, feeling right from the outset, that we were among friends.

A luxurious and extremely well-equipped house.
My partner and I needed some serious relaxation and recuperation from our busy jobs and the 'cozy cave' was EXACTLY what we wanted. Everything about the apartment is designed for extreme indulgence and we spent 5 days playing with all the gadgets and mod-cons that were at our disposal. These gadgets include a fantastic whirlpool / Jacuzzi bath, a comprehensive cinema / TV system in the lounge area, a very well-equipped kitchen with different coffee makers and an ice dispensing fridge / freezer and a television / satellite system in the bedroom. Celine and Craig are exceptionally friendly and very accommodating and know exactly how to treat their guests. After the initial tour of the house and a very comprehensive guide to the local amenities, we were left alone to luxuriate in the very cozy and sound proofed house. There are some great walks in the local area and Amiens town is literally only a 20 minute drive away. We would definitely recommend this holiday letting to anybody looking to stay in this part of France, particularly if you want something that's designed for both comfort, practicality and easy access to Amiens and Paris, We've already recommended it to our friends and family too! De Cosy Cave is een perfecte vakantiewoning waarin je het rustig aan kunt doen of meer actief op stap kunt gaan
Wij hebben deze zomer met z'n vieren - 2 volwassenen en 2 tieners - een zeer aangenaam verblijf van een week gehad in en rond de benedenwoning "Cosy Cave". Hoewel wij op de aankomstdag enigszins later dan afgesproken arriveerden, werden we hartelijk ontvangen door Celine, Craig en kinderen. De hele woning was netjes opgeruimd en al het beddengoed, de handdoeken en een fles wijn lagen klaar voor gebruik. We kregen een uitgebreide maar to-the-point toelichting over het gebruik van alle apparaten en de verlichting. Een hele reeks met folders over bezienswaardigheden en activiteiten in de omgeving van Amiens lagen uitgestald op een bijzettafel. Ook de up-to-date barbecue op het privéterras in de ruime tuin werd niet vergeten. Na het uitpakken van onze koffers waren we in korte tijd gesetteld in deze woning en voelden ons er meteen thuis. De woning is met uiteenlopende spullen smaakvol en gezellig ingericht, zonder te veel poespas. Celine en Craig hebben oog voor detail en zorgen ervoor dat je het aan niets ontbreekt. Bijvoorbeeld: op diverse plekken in het huis liggen dozen met tissues. Er is ook een grote, diverse collectie boeken aanwezig. Steek de houtkachel aan en je kunt hiermee een hele winter doorbrengen; en dan heb je ze nog niet allemaal uit..... Het verblijf in en rond het huis was ronduit fijn. De woning is van alle moderne gemakken voorzien. Toppunt voor de tieners was de home cinema en jacuzzi, voor ons als ouders de koelte en rust in de woning (als de tv uit was). Ook in de tuin en op het terras is het aangenaam verpozen. De directe omgeving van het huis en het dorpje Fossemanant biedt goede mogelijkheden voor allerlei activiteiten zoals wandelen, fietsen en kayaken. Het is circa een kwartier rijden naar Amiens, een stad die veel te bieden heeft voor winkelen, uitgaan en cultuur. In de wijdere omgeving van Fossemanant zijn veel bezienswaardigheden echt te moeite waard om te bezoeken. De Cosy Cave is wat ons betreft een perfecte vakantiewoning met zeer aardige en professionele verhuurders, die uitstekend Engels (en Frans) spreken, in een omgeving waarin je zelf kunt kiezen om het rustig aan te doen of meer actief op stap te gaan. Wel een kleine waarschuwing: door het lage plafond kan een verblijf voor gasten langer dan 1.90 meter hier en daar wat ongemakken met zich meebrengen.

We are so pleased that you and your family enjoyed your week with us. Can’t find the words to thank you for the wonderful description of our residence for future potential guests. As far as the ease of booking goes, we are sorry that it was a lengthy and frustrating process but this is required by our booking partner and of course we have no control over it, but it serves to reassure both host and guest. Regarding the directions to property, we do appreciate your suggestion to add GPS coordinates to guest direction information, which we have updated. And we will find a solution to the doorbell issue. As far as WIFI on the north side of the home, we recently pulled out a second WIFI line which didn’t function very well and we are now looking at using our existing Apple network or adding Satellite internet. Thanks also for pointing out the height of your particular unit, which is noted on the websites but may not always be seen by potential guests. We’ve had some guests find this particularly humorous, especially in the shower! (to which we’ll add additional large towels as you suggested). If this is really a problem, we do offer a second residence with higher ceilings which can be found as well in Fossemanant. Thanks again for helping us improve our guest experience!

Peace and serenity with amazing views, enhanced by a warm welcome
What a beautiful setting and well presented house we stayed in. We were welcomed with friendliness and a comprehensive guide of the facility. The village and surrounding villages were so quiet yet we were only five minutes away from a shopping centre to purchase everything we needed for our stay. With the beautiful Amiens only 20 minutes away for a day trip and Langeau ten minutes away to catch the train to Paris, we were ideally located for our holiday. The welcome wine went down well too!
We would strongly recommend staying here for anyone who wants to visit Northern Farnce, Paris or surrounding areas.

Thanks for mentioning the train station at Longueau, where you can park for free and be at the Gare du Nord in Paris in 1 hour 20 minutes. Glad too that you enjoyed our "Zen" welcome wine! In addition to the various English news channels offered via our Satellite connection, and the occasional multi-language films offered by French television, we've added Apple TV and Netflix via internet so now there is no limit to enjoying English language programs!

Complete relaxation
We stayed here for 5 days during August and although the weather was occasionally wet it did not spoil our holiday. This apartment is situated underneath the larger, main house but does not suffer from noise from above and although partially subterranean is so well lit that it doesn't feel oppressive. The apartment has all modern conveniences and gadgets and is finished to a very high standard, we had everything we could have needed for our holiday. Celine and Craig were the most attentive and charming hosts, always ready to answer questions or give advice. The shared garden is beautiful and tranquil. Our teenage son wasn't bored and borrowed a bike to cycle around the local villages.
The area of the Somme has some fascinating places to visit and 5 days was no where near long enough to do it justice. The WW1 battlefields and memorials are a short drive away and the city of Amiens is definitely worth a visit.

Thank you for such a fine description of the home and gardens. Since your visit we have completely cut off and sound-proofed the staircase between the residences, replaced the existing lighting with energy-saving LED spots, and built a private wood terrace of more than 50 square meters (540 square feet) dedicated to your residence with gas barbecue, sink and rattan garden furniture! We have blocked the courtyard entrance so vehicles are no longer visible. Hope you can visit again to profit from our improvements!
