This apartment is ideally located, although you will be climbing hills several times a day, back and forth from the port. It is just a 5-10 minute walk to the port and all the nearby restaurants so a car is not necessary unless you want to drive to other coastal towns during your stay. The view, as noted in the apartment description is lovely, but know that there is no lift and the apartment is on the 2nd floor with 4 sets of stairs to climb to get there. ( 3rd flr in US) The apartment is clean and has all the amenities you need- dishes, pots, pans, coffee pot, toaster, oven, mini dishwasher and mini clothes washer, but there is not much in the way of spices. The beds are very small, and in our opinion not comfortable. My complaints may seem a bit superficial, but I was hoping for better furnishings. There is only a sofa, which had a cover thrown over it that kept coming off and a small kitchen table with 4 hard chairs. There is not other seating in the living area and non in the bedrooms- they are very small and there is no room for more than a bed and nightstand. The TV has no English stations and even still had such bad reception, we couldn't clearly watch but one French station. Yes, it has wifi, but it is such a low bandwidth, we could not successfully watch anything on our computers over the whole 17 days we stayed there. The internet, according to Henri, the owner, is a problem in the whole town. Henri is a delightful proprietor and is happy to help you with recommendations and all the details you need to know about the apartment and the parking, although he is not familiar with the local restaurants, so we relied on TA for that. Overall, for the price we paid, we expected a better apartment.
