The Three Valleys is the biggest inter-linked ski area in the world and consisting of Brides Les Bains, Courchevel 1300, Courchevel 1550, Courchevel 1650, Courchevel 1850, La Tania, Les Ménuires, Méribel Village, Méribel Centre, Méribel Mottaret, Saint Martin de Belleville & Val Thorens.<BR><BR>The ski area has 600 km of pistes on 275 slopes, serviced by 198 lifts between 600m and 3200m. This really is an awesome amount of skiing and as Meribel is the central valley of the 3 Valleys, from here you have easy access to anywhere in the region<BR><BR>Excellent high altitude, snow sure, skiing is on offer for all abilities. There are tree lined paths and nursery slopes for beginners, wide open red pistes for the Intermediates and plenty of challenging black runs and off piste for the advanced skier. With it's north-facing aspect and 1,200 snow cannons, skiing is virtually guaranteed from December to late April. The skiing is wonderful all season, but if you are skiing early or late in the season, the three Valleys region is more snow sure than just about anywhere.<BR>A little known fact is that the three valleys weekly pass also covers a day in the La Plagne ski area (though check this with the ski pass office, to ensure it is valid for the current season). This is easily accessed via Champagny, just 12 miles and a 20 minute drive away.<BR><BR>There are free shuttle buses up to Meribel every wednesday evening (look on ski.Brides-les-Bain website).<BR><BR>There are many ski and boarding schools in Meribel, including ESF but also several English schools. The Olympic Centre in Meribel has an ice rink, Olympic size pool with kids pool and slides, and crèche facilities, All literally just at the top of the Gondola from Brides Les Bain. Meribel offers endless more opportunities for Apres-Ski, cafes, restaurants and shops.
