Pool table, hot tub and great location
Perfect location for Matlock and surrounding areas. The house is very well laid out with 2 bedrooms having ensuites. The living room was comfy for all of us.
The kitchen was equipped with all you need. (Bring your own tea/coffee/ sugar) Dining room was equally brilliant for us all.
The games room had a decent pool table and a darts board. We did suggest a cupboard with games ie scrabble/ chess/connect 4, along with a shorter cue for tight spots playing pool. I'd recommend taking a Bluetooth speaker for the games room and the hot tub area.
The communication/ information was succinct from the owners.
Thanks for an enjoyable weekend.

Very enjoyable family break in lovely accommodation.
We loved our recent stay at this lovely accommodation. It was so spacious and well equipped with everything you need. The hot tub and games room are a real bonus! The bedding and towels are of a good quality and there is very good storage space in the bedrooms and bathrooms. The accommodation is well situated for local tourist attractions. We hope to return next year!

40th birthday celebrations
We were a group of 10 girls who booked the Escape as part of my 40th birthday celebrations. The house was everything we hoped for!
Fantastic internal space with a well equipped kitchen and large dining area (we hired in someone to do a table top grazing platter).
The house is complimented by brilliant outdoor space with the hot tub, outdoor seating & games room.
The weather was wonderful so we spent much of our time outside.
We loved our time here and found the house fantastic value for money given all the features it has.
10/10 from us! Host was also very professional, responsive & friendly

Beautiful Spot for a Break
Lovely, well appointed house, perfect for the two family break we had at Easter. Spotlessly clean and lovely hot tub! Great walks from the door and close to Bakewell and Matlock.
Arrival instructions were clear and the team were super helpful with our booking - especially as it was last minute following us being let down by Sykes Cottages, who had double booked us!
Highly recommended!

Perfect well furnished house for group stays in the Peak District
Super location for access to many great walking and hiking spots in the peaks. We really enjoyed a walk from Monsal head to Ashford in the Water via Monsal Dale, with a good pub lunch in the village! Can recommend a visit to Thornbridge brewery tap room, superb selection of ales and nice pizza too. The house was perfect for our university reunion, the hot tub was a great way to relax and the games room we spent hours in playing pool and darts. The generously sized TV with sky sports was a nice surprise for the football fans amongst the group! Bedrooms were comfortable and bathrooms clean. All in all I would thoroughly recommend!

50th birthday celebration
What a fabulous holiday weekend. Beautiful house , everything exceptionally clean, from crockery to crisp bedding and towels , it's caters so well for 10 people.
We enjoyed using the games room which kept everyone entertained . The hot tub was a nice bonus and was checked throughout our stay.
I would 100% recommended this gorgeous accommodations.

Easter break
We had a great stay with our family age ranged from 16 to 75 . They hot tub and pool table are a great feature . The lounge and dining tables were plenty big enough for our group of 9. The kitchen was well equipped with 2 fridges and an outdoor bbq which we made use of . A very enjoyable stay .

Fantastic in every way.
We had to cancel from last year due to COVID and Shannon couldn’t have been more helpful and understanding.
At last this year our family met up, ages from 68 to 7 years. 10 of us.
Kids loved hot tub, jacuzzi bath, pool table and darts.
Loads of room for us all and equipped with everything we could need.
Overall a brilliant stay, excellent location and would highly recommend.

Perfect home-from-home for our stay
We stayed here for a Hen Party and it was perfect. The Hot Tub was attended to by the owner twice a day and they were contactable by text, which was responded to very quickly.
Very clean and everything you would need for your stay! Very close to a shop (10 minute walk) and lovely walks in the surrounding area. Very quiet, did not hear a peep from the other properties.
Loads of parking, your own drive right next to the house, which would easily hold 5 cars and it was gated.
Games room is a fab touch and also really warm for when you're just in your swimming costume.
Thank you for a brilliant stay, would definitely book again!

Absolutely superb
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at "The Escape" for a long weekend and shall definitely be returning for a longer stay. The property itself was incredibly spacious and comfortable. We made good use of the games room too - having this was a definite bonus. We found the location excellent too; everyone we met was very friendly and there are many things to do practically on the doorstep.
