The very best villa we've ever stayed in!
Dromard House in Kenmare was fabulous with every amenity you could think of., far beyond the best 5 star hotels we have ever stayed in. Our host, Catherine, certainly has a great eye for interior design without compromising on comfort! 5 minutes by car from the town, the house was in a lovely quiet area and the views from the garden were spectacular . The deer were regular visitors munching away on the fallen apples each morning! There were 5 artists in our Group, and though the house has four big ensuite bedrooms and we could have shared one of the rooms which had an extra bed, our hosts, Catherine and Adriaan kindly rearranged one of the lounges to accommodate the 5th person in the Group! We were on a painting trip and as the weather was unpredictable at times, we had plenty of space to paint indoors! We got great information about beautiful Kenmare and the whole area from our hosts. Thank You Catherine and Adriaan for a fantastic week in your beautiful Dromard House. We hope to come again next year!

Perfect Irish Luxury
Absolutely beautiful country home!! All the reviews are spot on and very accurate. Our flight over was cancelled for two days, so only had one night to enjoy this villa, wish we had longer. The hosts, Catherine and Adriaan, were very responsive to any questions and accommodating, especially since we had to reschedule due to Covid issues. Travelled with seven people and we all had our own very comfortable beds and bathrooms. Well equipped kitchen and modern appliances, lovely library and sitting areas, but I have to say the outdoor scenery really took our breath away. Quintessential Ireland, rolling green hills and beautiful landscape in all directions. Since we had no car to our own, we all walked into town, Kenmare, which was about 15-20 minutes down the road for dinner. Lovely evening walk with baby sheep on the way down to greet us. We didn't get much time spent in Kenmare, but was a cute Irish village with lots of shops, restaurants, super market, etc.. I would definitely recommend Adriaan and Catherine's lovely home for your stay in Ireland. You will not be disappointed!

Absolutely wonderful property which is incredibly well equipped - indoor cooking and outdoor BBQ facilities all super - all bedrooms ensuite to hotel standard. A short drive into Kenmare and strongly recommend walk/ climb at Gleninchaquin

Great communications from host before arrival . Met on arrival and shown round . A fabulous house , nothing more I could ask for , truly luxurious. Even deer in the garden occasionally. Very convenient to town by car or bike .

Stunning House in great location
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house. All bedooms were large with ensuite's and the kitchen had everything you could wished for! As well as large kitchen/dining area there are separate TV and sitting rooms. The owner was also very helpful meeting us on check in and giving us a tour of the property. Overall a wonderful experience!

Perfect house for grandparents adult children and grandchildren.
Dromard is ideally situated for day trips to West Cork and the Kerry peninsulas. Lots of activities nearby and also room to run about on the lawn outside.The house is so comfortable and roomy. You feel at home straight away. Everyone has their own space and yet can enjoy quality time together around the big table. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and it's a pleasure to prepare meals there. The owners, Catherine and Adriaan, have added extra little touches to this house to make visitors feel extra welcome. I highly recommend Dromard.

Pure Perfection
I stumbled across this hidden gem by chance when looking for somewhere to stay in Kenmare for my sisters wedding in May 2017. It was love at first sight for us when we arrived at Dromard. The house was breathtaking, the attention to detail was five star and there was literally nothing more we could have wished for to make our stay as special as it was. We used the house to get ready in for the morning of the wedding and you couldn’t have a better backdrop for stunning photos. Catherine was so warm and welcoming and couldn’t have done more for us during our stay. The house was pure perfection superior to any hotel in my opinion with the comforts of home added in. My extended family have been back to stay in this beautiful home many times since and we look forward to staying here more every time we go. I would recommend this property to anyone that asks and couldn’t list a single thing that I would change about the property or experience while staying there. I look forward to my next visit to beautiful Dromard.

First Class property!
My Aunties and my Mum stayed at Dromard in Kenmare for 5 nights. This property is so lovely and peaceful you truly won’t want to leave. We so enjoyed the views and the wildlife outside the bay windows. The house layout is perfect and spacious for families, and the kitchen is well equipped for family cooking. Location is excellent for day trips and coming home to Dromard is a real treat! Communication with owners was great, and we will cherish our memories made at Dromard. Thanks :)

A little bit of Irish heaven
What a find. The house and location was stunning with even deer grazing on the front lawn when we woke up. The house was beautifully appointed just like walking into your own home, the personal touches added to its appeal. We were a group of seven and because of the lay out we all had our own space. The kitchen and living areas were well appointed and it was a joy to come together in and share our days adventures. If the house and location were not enough the owners were wonderful giving us a warm welcome even when we arrived late (due to a costly detour). Thank you Adriaan and Catherine for a perfect stay.

Perfect in EVERY way!!
There is nothing that could have made this home anymore perfect! Upon arrival, Catherine met us there to show us their beautiful home The location is perfect, a 15 min walk to downtown Kenmare The accommodations were perfect! We were traveling as a family of 7 with 2 small children and the grounds were awesome for the kiddos to run and play The view of the city from the front lawn is gorgeous! All of the rooms are spacious and so nice to all be ensuite! There was nothing we needed that was not there! We will definitely return to Ireland and it’s beautiful people and country side!!
