Great apartment!
We were delighted with our apartment, much better than expected!
It’s a sunny big 2-bedroom apartment, it’s spacious well equipped and it was very clean and well maintained. It’s located on the first floor and in a conner of the building. It’s a safe complex, all entry doors need a code to open, and it’s quiet and friendly and is well maintained throughout. Around the Praia Village the other apartments buildings are pretty, low rise, quiet and well maintained. The kitchen is big and has everything you need to cook and plenty of housewares (plates, cups, wine glasses etc.). The furniture is nice and good quality, plenty of seating! The balcony is huge and has a pretty view of the pool, it has no direct sun until late afternoon.
Internet worked really well and there’s plenty of tv channels, Portuguese and English.
The pool area it’s nice, never got overcrowded during our 13 days stay at peak season in August. The apartment has its own sunbeds. The people staying at the complex varied from families to couples with a good age range, they were cordial and not noisy. The complex is very quiet at night too.
Location is excellent, walking or driving! Easy 15-minute flat and pleasant walk into the main area of Vilamoura, where is the marina, shops, restaurants, bars. The closest supermarket is just 10 minutes away walking and 5 minutes away by car. Next to the supermarket there’s a pharmacy, a medical clinic and a gas station. You can walk to Falesia beach it’s a 15–20-minute flat walk, if you drive is just a 5-minute drive, you can rent a bike too! Everywhere you walk it is a pleasant and a safe walk. It was fairly easy to park the car on the street, sometimes you didn’t have a space right in front of the building, but you could park in another street further down or in the back of the building is even easier to park, but you walk more.
Gary was a great host! He answers the emails almost immediately. Communication was always fast, clear and friendly. The information brochure about the apartment upon arrival was very helpful and well done.
This is a great apartment, and we hope to come back next year!

Fantastic apartment in excellent location
Fantastic apartment - very spacious, spotlessly clean and has all the amenities needed for an amazing holiday. Very secure and pool area is lovely, clean and never too busy. Short walk to supermarket which caters for everyone and also to stunning marina and beach. Huge choice of bars and restaurants to go to at night on the marina and also lovely restaurants in the square behind marina. Vilamoura is a beautiful resort and I would highly recommend both the resort and the apartment. Gary is an excellent host who always responds quickly to any questions and is very helpful. Would 100% recommend both the apartment and resort to people of all ages.

Much bigger than you imagine
Very spacious, well equipped and clean apartment. Has everything you need... very helpful owners. Kept in touch with us throughout the process. Lovely garden and pool area. Fair walk to town. Using uber €3 or enjoying beautifully landscaped walk. More suited to couples and families with children 12 + rather than older people. Supermarket 10 minutes walk away.
Vilamoura as a resort in my opinion is a bit stuck in the 80s but it has some lovely features too. This apartment is a great choice and even though the resort as a whole needs some updating... this apartment is ideal.

Perfect apartment in an ideal location!
We were not 100% sure when booking that the apartment would live up to our expectations, however, within 3 minutes of being inside, we were delighted with our choice of accomodation. Really spacious and well equipped within a quiet and friendly complex which is well maintained throughout.
The apartment was very clean when we arrived, and the balcony (size wise) is perfect for our party of 4 people.
Location is excellent for an easy 15 minute walk into the main area of Vilamoura (quicker if you find the shortcuts!) with an abundance of restaurants, bars and beaches.
We had such a lovely time in and around the apartment and would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who is thinking of visiting the area.
Gary was really helpful, quick to respond to emails/texts etc. and provided lots of information about the location. I think we went to most of the restuarants that were recommened and never had a bad meal!
We will 100% be back again in the future if all of the stars align :-)

Relaxing holiday
Our apartment was very easy to book. Everything went smoothly. Our apartment was very clean and spacious. Really appreciated the aircon. We had a lovely big balcony but it hardly got any sun. It wasn't a problem though as we used the sunloungers by the pool. We walked about 20 mins to the marina for a meal every evening because there are so many fantastic restaurants. Some of which we visited were Rui's-steakhouse, Natraj-indian, Bragna Ma-Portuguese and kebabs, all of these being in a courtyard behind the Irish bar.

Perfect
Lovely large apartment with everything you need. Air conditioning was fantastic. Location was convenient for walk to beach and marina and the supermarket is a 5 to 10 minute walk. Would highy recommend and would definitely book again if back in Portugal.

Great relaxing holiday
We had a really relaxing holiday staying at Praia Village and would recommend it. The apartment was great - spacious clean, well equipped kitchen and in a quiet area. Gary was prompt replying when making the booking and answered any questions we had. Arranged transfer from Faro airport for us - 70euros return. Its less than 30 mins from the airport. Air con was needed but apartment did not get too hot at all.
Nice pool area, lots of space and the apartment has 2 sunbeds allocated to it plus there are others for communal use. No sunshades though but there is shade around if you want to find it. Complex is secure with keypads to gain entry to the gates and doors.
There is an 'Intermarche' supermarket about 10 mins walk away which has all you need.
Falesia beach is a 20 min stroll away and is fantastic. Wide and long sandy beach, shallow into the sea. Perfect for children. On a few occasions we spent the morning & part of the afternoon by the pool then wandered down to the beach late afternoon and stayed there until sunset. There are a few beach bars to get a drink. Great way to unwind. If you go for the day be aware a pair of sunbeds & a sunshade are 17euros for the day which adds up if there are 4 of you. Only did that once. You can pick up cheap sunshades at the supermarkets.
The Marina is a 15 min stroll and great to wander round in the evening - loads of restaurants & bars though the cheaper places to eat & drink are just away from the marina.
We went to Quarteira market on the Wed morning - fun if you want to haggle for T Shirts, bags, sunglasses, etc etc. 10 euros each way by taxi.
Also not far is the Aquashow waterpark - 12 euros each way by taxi. Good waterpark but a little tip - get there for when it opens at 10am and blitz the rides and slides for the first couple of hours. By early afternoon the queues for every one were very long. Book tickets online as a bit cheaper.
Also went to Zoomarine which was fun - bit like a mini SeaWorld if anyone has been to Florida. Again book tickets online as cheaper and we used their own coaches as seemed reasonable price. Its about 30 mins away.
If you want a relaxing holiday in the sun in a clean, smart resort then Vilamoura is fine. If you are looking for a bit more character may not be for you but we enjoyed our stay there and at the apartment.

Perfect family friendly base
We stayed here from 7-17 May 2017.
Accommodation is faultless, we have 2 YO son and it was perfect,kitchen was ideal to stay in and cook , layout is perfect, shutters Were a real added bonus from a security point of view And also as they completely black out the rooms at night.
We really appreciated the fact the balcony was totally safe and secure and also was out of the direct sun all day, this meant we were able to let our son play out on the balcony with little supervision.
If you are a sun monkey then you should consider the balcony does not get any direct sun.
However the gardens and pool area are perfect for catching a few rays. Pool was a little cold and could have benefited from a little help from some heating, however this seems to be the norm and may warm up during the season. Beach and Marina are both within walking distance (15mins) walk is both safe and reasonably lit. We would certainly recommend this apartment to any friends and will possibly return late in the year for another stay.
