The best place to stay in Mellieha
We rented one of the 3 bed appartments for 2 adults and kids (2 x 9 yr old boys and 1 x 4 yr old daughter).
We’re all writing this review on our first day back in the U.K.
Here’s our initial impression
The apartment was really spacious and well appointed- all the rooms have a/c which as the weather was hot was a godsend
The kitchen was well appointed, cooking wasn’t a problem and each apartment also had a gas bbq which we used quite often. There’s a full size fridge freezer so you can really stock up at the local supermarket ( using the Bolt and Wolt apps everywhere delivers in under 1 hr- everything from a full grocery shop to a take-away) and plenty of cupboard space for other items.
The kids (well all of us actually) thought the pool was great- it was still early in the season but the temperature was fine - maybe a bit on the cool side but hey if you’re here later in the summer it’ll be loads warmer- we tended to do a day of site-seeing and a day back at base swimming in the morning and then again in the afternoon. Clearly you have to share the pool with other guests but overcrowding certainly isn’t an issue.
Situated in an up-market area of Mellieha, there’s easy access to the main amenities- the beach is a 5 min drive away (if you have a car or just use a taxi). Parking isn’t a problem (being from the U.K. driving in Malta isn’t an issue as the drive on the correct side of the road 🙂).
We can’t rate our hosts highly enough- Alison and husband Jes were phenomenal- approachable, super helpful friendly and yet not overbearing - quite a balance to be able to strike- if Alison had a boss I’d be writing to them to say what an asset she is.
Would we hesitate to go back - not at all. The children had a great time and we had a relaxing holiday too in large part down to the atmosphere that Alison fosters.
This was the kids first time in Malta - and our first visit for over 10 years- Blue Waters was the perfect place to relax and made a great base to explore some of what Malta has to offer - we’d need many more visits to see everything so boredom need never be a problem. If history and site- seeing isn’t your bag then you’re in the right place for sandy beaches, sunsets and sundowners 🍸
Go and have the holiday that you want!

Well needed Family Holiday
We have just returned from our family holiday at the Blue Waters Villa. We were a family of 15 and the villa exceeded my expectations, you have everything you need for a great stay. It’s a short 10 minute walk to the top of the high street to a handful of shops bars restaurants and to walk to Mellieha Church from there a further slow 20 minutes downhill , plenty of buses though to take you all over the island if you prefer! Alison & Jess the owners of the Villas were very welcoming to us all, their home is amazing for a great holiday and we will certainly return- Thanks Alison & Jes x

Perfect 3 Apartments
As a family of 15, 8 adults 7 children ages ranging from two to sixteen this was the perfect villa to book , each family having their own separate very spacious apt’s.
Alison and Jes were the perfect hosts , making sure we had the perfect holiday .
The Villa is a 10 minute walk to shops and 15 min walk to bars and restaurants, we hired cars and did many sightseeing trips , ate out at some lovely sea view restaurants in Mellieha , this was our 35 th time of visiting Malta , we absolutely love staying in Mellieha, would highly recommend Villa Blue Waters

Perfect base from which to explore Malta
We stayed for one week (husband, 17 year old daughter and me) and think we made a good choice in booking our Blue Waters villa! It was easy to find (we hired a car at the airport and it took about 45 minutes to get to the villa) and was located on a quiet road, with lovely views, but still close to an excellent local supermarket. We were warmly welcomed by the villa owners, and were thrilled to see such spacious and immaculate accommodation ready for us. We spent a few quiet days by the shared pool - which is small but perfectly formed and clean, and just right for a needed cool off. There were sometimes other occupants at the pool side as well (there are a few shared villas on site) but it was easy to find a lounger and everyone says a nice hello before settling down to quietly bake. We visited several places in Malta and having the car was handy - and the villa owner gave us excellent tips on which roads to use /avoid. We mostly ate out but the villa kitchen was sufficiently equipped for us to prepare basic dinners and lunches. The owners were very welcoming, but never intrusive, and very helpful - they helped us find our lost remote control and also got some sickness tablets out of their cabinet for our ill daughter the morning we were leaving. If you are worried about having owners on site, don't be - they know what they are doing and get the balance right between friendliness and privacy. If you are looking for a combination of cleanliness, quiet and location - this is it. Our thanks to the owners for being excellent holiday hosts.

Lovely family friendly accommodation.
Beautiful villa with an outdoor pool and fantastic views of Melleiha bay and the surrounding countryside from the balcony. A 10 minute walk to the main road where there is a supermarket and other small shops,and a bus stop. A walk of about 20 -30 minutes takes you to the main street in Mellieha where there are some lovely Restaurants with excellent food being served.
Although the Bus service is regular and cheap the taxis are unreliable so would probably hire a car next time.
The owners of the villa Jez and Allison are amazing and so friendly they went out of their way to make our holiday an enjoyable and memorable one. Would certainly visit again.

Excellent
We cannot recommend this highly enough. Situated in a quiet exclusive residential are of Mellieha, this villa apartment complex is stunning. Beautifully maintained and furnished these villa apartments have easy access to local bars, restaurants and supermarkets , with the beach being a short bus ride or a twenty minute walk away.. The sundeck and pool is just perfect, offering stunning views of the bay of neighbouring Comino and Gozo and the caretakers/owners provide excellent but non-intrusive service and attention. We had a lovely stay and have already arranged a return visit in the autumn.

Lovely time had by all, Alison and Gez go out of their way to make our stay fab
Lovely location close to most amenities, large well-stocked supermarket, restaurants, pubs etc ..... beautiful views out into the bay. Alison and Jez are the most kind, helpful couple, nothing is too much trouble ... they collected us from the airport, gave us a tour of the area, drove us to our wedding venue on the day, plus drove us back to the airport (all for no cost!) .... cabs for the aforementioned would have been at least 100 euros, so you can deduct that from your holiday costs ... all in all a lovely experience, would go again, thank you Alison and Jez!

Stunning villa in a fantastic location!
My husband and I visited Malta on a work trip and brought my Mum and 4 year old son with us. The Blue Waters looked amazing on the website, but as a previous review mentioned, the photos don't do it justice at all! The villa was large and beautifully decorated, and the pool and terrace area were absolutely stunning, with views over the sea to Comino. The pool is unheated, and though the water was a bit chilly at first, this didn't stop us having a swim each day before going to work or exploring the island. Alison and her husband Jes were the most amazing hosts; friendly, welcoming, couldn't do enough for us, and were fantastic with our son! The welcome pack that we found on arrival meant that we could have lunch before having to go off and find a shop after a very early start from the UK, and they lent our little boy toys for the pool / beach which he loved. Shops, bars and restaurants were all within a short walk, and it was only a short drive down to the beautiful sandy Mellieha beach. Thank you SO much Alison and Jes: we will definitely be returning sometime in the future! :-)

Fantastic Apartment
We enjoyed our stay here, lovely large modern 3 bedroom apartment. The lounge is big and comfortable and a fully equipped kitchen, we loved using the BBQ just outside our apartment. Great location with beautiful views and easy walk to the local town.....the cafe by the church is the best for views over the bay! Great friendly hosts who were very helpful, would definitely recommend.

Spacious.
Spacious flat! Got all you need - But only one shower worked.... Second bathroom shower did not work ( october 2017 though). The working shower in the ensuite needed a good cleaning too...
Bedding and mattresses needed urgent replacement (old and lumpy) and the bed sheets were almost unusable due to way too much fabric softener / perfume...! Although I am sure this was all in good intention by the very nice hosts.
