Absolutely loved our stay at villa sardinella and will definitely be looking to book it again. A beautiful, spacious villa that comfortably fitted all 7 adults and 3 children. We even had a room spare. I definitely recommend this villa to anyone wishing to stay in mellieħa.

We recently stayed at Villa "Sardinella" in Triq il Pont, Mellieha, Malta. When we arrived at 4.15pm (with check in meant to be at 4pm) the cleaner was still at the Villa "Cleaning" and was still there for a further 30 minutes! The Villa was dirty and had a strong odour and looked like it hadn't been cleaned properly for a long time! The pool ladder was loose and dangerous with cracked tiles around it, the outside light switch was hanging off the wall. There were cracked plug sockets, the coffee machine electrical cord was fixed with tape and was melted?!? on the side. The showers were all dirty, as were all the toilets and I'm not even going to mention the toilet brushes, absolutely disgusting!! There was numerous cigarette butts on the steps leading down to the pool and out front of the Villa. All the plates, cutlery etc were dirty. The welcome pack was a complete rip off. We found a Toe Nail on the settee. The cushions on the sun loungers were filthy. None of the bedding had protectors on it, on a couple of the quilts we found dried blood and on the pillows also.The area to the right of the pool (that is out of bounds to guests) but can be clearly from the balcony is in a shocking state with broken tiles, beer cans, more cigarette butts and general mess. We Contacted the firm that we had rented the villa from straight away when we arrived on the Sunday, on the Monday the owner and the cleaner came and cleaned the villa for four hours whilst another man fixed the pool ladder and outside light. The villa should have never been allowed to get in such a state. The Villa was not Luxury at all, and needs a complete overhaul. The owner blamed the previous guests for how dirty the Villa was but that amount of dirt does not build up in a couple of weeks. The owner should be ashamed at renting out the Villa in such a state and it really isn't a very good advert for anyone coming to stay in Malta for the first time. The owner needs to spend more time checking the Villa and not just worry about how much revenue they are getting. It ruined what should have been a very enjoyable Family Holiday.

Très belle maison avec une superbe piscine ! Les chambres et les salles de bains sont spacieuses. Les petites attentions des propriétaires à l'arrivée sont appréciables et ils sont très disponibles pour tous renseignements. Cependant une voiture est pratiquement indispensable pour se déplacer facilement. Un séjour fantastique passé à Malte !

This villa is fantastic! Large spacious bedrooms, well equipped kitchen and a great pool. We were a group of 10, mixed in age and the property suited everyone's needs, would definately book again.

This Villa is perfect, its has an amazing amount of space and all the amenities you will need for your stay. Booking was so easy and communication between the owners and I were 2nd to none. I would recommend this villa to anybody, it is great for a family to group of friends.

We came to Malta for our wedding, having the villas so big and next to each other was a bliss. Each guest had their own bathroom, we were making breakfast in one villa and bbq in the other. Overall it was a great experience. The only thing to consider is that it is far from the capital Valletta and it’s a 40 min drive from the airport. It’s very easy to jump on the bus and visit every corner of the island, even going to Gozo in the bus was convenient. If you are to arrive later in the night, make sure to get the kitchen package so that when you arrive there will be water. We arrived very late in the night and there was no store open to buy drinkable water so we had to wait until the following morning. We had a great time at the Villas, we were a total of 24 guests and we had a great time, Malta will be forever in our hearts and we will soon return.

We stayed at Villa Sardinella for the week of our wedding with our wedding party. The villa felt extremely spacious even with 9 adults staying there. It is absolutely stunning with a very modern feel. The villa has all of the amenities you could need during your stay and is only a ten minute walk to the local supermarket, Valyou. As an added touch, each guest was left a small toiletrie bag with shampoo and shower gel to get started with. The location is fairly quiet but still close enough to the local restaurants and bars in town that you can enjoy the best of both worlds. If you do take a trip into town for dinner, we highly recommend Ta'Randi which you can find with a quick google search for just walk up the road from the church. We all loved staying here and can't wait to return in the future! Janice was extremely accomodating in preparation for our stay. My family stayed in the adjoining Villa Gardenia and we were able to speak to our hosts beforehand to redistribute cots and highchairs between the two villas previous to our arrival. Although we experienced a few self-inflicted issues, such as an injury at a different hotel and locking ourselves out of one of the safes, Janice responded promptly to our messages and provided us with solutions immediately. She was a wonderful host and even gave us a beautiful gift of Mdina glass as a wedding present which we both thought was a wonderful touch! We wholely recommend Villa Sardinella and the other properties owned by Janice (we had other family staying in several of them the same week). When we visit Malta again in the future, we will definitely look at using one of these properties again!

We were 11 in total (8 adults, two kids and a toddler) and we had room to spare in this large, immaculate villa. The location was great; quiet but within easy reach of shops, supermarkets and restaurants. The local agents were extremely helpful both before and during our stay, and fixed a small problem with the kitchen sink drain immediately, even though it was a Sunday. There is very little to fault apart from the scarcity of basics such as discloths, oil, etc. So be prepared for an early visit to the supermarket! Highly recommended!

I booked Villa Sardinella for my family in the five days before my wedding in Malta. It was absolutely perfect for us - five grown couples and two children. We were pleasantly surprised at how large the villa was. The bedrooms were massive with large, comfortable beds, plenty of wardrobe space, a huge dressing table and en suite in four of the five bedrooms. This size was really important for ensuring privacy and space for adult siblings and families. The children - and their cousins - had hours of fun in the pool. Janice was very responsive on email if we had any concerns or questions and even left me a little gift of Mdina glass for my wedding, which was a lovely gesture. While I believe a car is necessary in Malta, especially if staying in Melleiha, most of the family didn't hire one. We found the bus - about 15 mins walk up a hill - was fine to get to Valletta. Taxis, however, were expensive. We cooked most nights at the barbecue and in the kitchen, which was all perfect, and ate out once in Mellieha, in the fantastic Rebecca's. I would certainly recommend this Villa.
