Excellent
We stayed at the Majella Garden in September. Jacquie was an amazing hostess she told us all about the local bars, eateries,attractions and bakeries and more, making our visit so easy and enjoyable.
The apartment was extremely clean and had everything we needed, We enjoyed sitting on the roof top terrace, eating the walnuts that jacquie picked from her garden and kindly had given them to us.
A truly authentic, carefree stay.

Lovely spot
This was our second stay at Jacquie's and we enjoyed it just as much second time around. Jacquie is a lovely host , met us on arrival and is available for tips and a cheery wave. Very clean and nicely appointed apartment with lots of space outside to sit in shade or sun. Quiet small town nearby and both hills and beach within a short walk. Our favourite was to drive to the top of the Blockhaus and walk in the fresh mountain air. Wouldn't be surprised if we're back again in the future!.

A fantastic vacation spot!
Thank you Jacquie and Steve for making our 3 weeks an outstanding vacation. We learned so much from you both. Your knowledge and resourcefulness really helped us get a great feel for the beautiful Abruzzo area. Your great location made it easy to get around for great day trips to the mountains, a beautiful waterfall, the beach, and small, interesting towns scattered along the mountains. And it was always great to come back from a day trip to your beautiful, spacious, homey, comfortable, and very clean apartment. Waking up to the many beautiful birds singing was always a treat for me. Your thoughtfulness and caring really made a difference for us and you were always there to help when we needed it so a huge thank you for that! I will highly recommend your apartment to anyone I know heading over to Italy.

Three weeks in heaven
We just returned from 3 weeks at the Majella Garden apartment and already miss it. You could not ask for a more beautiful place to spend your time after exploring the countryside every day. Get a glass of wine and sit out back , with the mountains and sounds of animals. There are plenty of towns to visit in the countryside or beach towns and of course the national parks. There are good restaurants with in walking distance or short drive from the apartment, or you can cook your own meals.
The apartment has everything you need, is very comfortable and of course Jacquie is a wonderful host. She was very helpful when we needed to plan a few trips and knows the area well.

Perfect home base to discover Rapino and area
Majella Garden is a lovely modern apartment perfect for two built in to a beautifully restored brick home. The kitchen has everything needed and then some. The bathroom is large with a big shower, lots of storage and counter space. The bedroom features a big closet, dresser and very comfortable bed. We absolutely loved the table and chairs steps from the kitchen on the patio and ate almost all meals out there. It faces west so lovely morning sun and looks out over a garden and nearby ravine. Loved to sip our coffees listening to birdsong and church bells. Even in April the garden was green and blooming, a perfect place to sunbathe, nap or have cocktails on the provided loungers. There is also a shared Terrace above with more loungers and a beautiful view of the Majelleta mountains. The hosts Jacquie and Steve are very welcoming and really knowledgable about the area with lots of tips on what to do and see. We loved walking around the whole village of Rapino. Enjoyed a fabulous pasta lunch at the hotel Il Tiglio and pizza and beer at Papi's all within walking distance. Il Tiglio being in old Rapino so a little longer walk but well needed after said lunch, pizza and beer. We also drove to many nearby villages, all stunningly beautiful in the foothills or at the seaside. Again Jacquie and Steve's recommendations were all great and we actually ran out of time before seeing everything they suggested. Abruzzo and Chieti in particular is an undiscovered gem in Italy. We will most definitely be back!

I stayed at the Majella Garden from November 10-19th 2016.
For personal reasons this was my first trip abroad for several years, and while there, Jacquie and Stephen looked after me really well, their extensive knowledge of all the local bars, eateries, attractions and excursions made decision making very easy.
The apartment was very clean, very bright and very comfortable. The weather was not the best but I was warm and cozy there and lacked for nothing.
Rapino is a very quaint Italian village, laid back but with all the amenities you require.
All in all it was a very relaxing week and a bit, and I would heartily it recommend to anyone wishing to get away from it all and to kick back and relax.

Uitstekende locatie om naar de zee of naar de bergen te gaan.
Omgeving is prachtig.
Huis is zeer netjes. Voldoende ruimte. Heerlijk terras en tuin.
Zeer aardige en behulpzame gast heer/mevrouw.

Very good
We enjoyed our stay in this apartment. Good size living room/kitchen, good bedroom and a decent bathroom with a proper shower. The owners are very friendly and helpful.
Rapino is a good base for exploring Majella park.

Perfect
This is lovely spacious apartment set on edge of a rural italian village with beautiful views of the Majella mountains .
We were warmly welcomed by Stephen and Jacquie who were perfect hosts throughout .
The apartment was immaculate with everything you could wish for to enjoy your stay .
A very well equipped kitchen with nice selection of glasses for beer , liquors and wine
A very generous welcome pack including fresh croissants from local bakers was a really nice and unexpected touch .
The apartment has central heating and we were very cosy despite the cold temperatures at night .
Outside the apartment is a pretty sitting area but the roof terrace is quite spectacular and a lovely place to sit even though it was December .
The apartment is a very short walk from an excellent restaurant that we visited twice due to quality of food and very reasonable prices .
We would definitely recommend this apartment and plan to return next month !

Fantastic stay in Rapino
This was our third trip to Rapino and first (but not last) time staying at the Majella Garden Apartment. We found the apartment very comfortable and just as depicted. It’s spacious, updated and well equipped with everything one would need to prepare meals, etc. We also enjoyed the outdoor patio and terrace which offered a quiet area to enjoy the beautiful views. A great place to enjoy the local wine.
Jacquie and Stephen were excellent hosts and had a thorough knowledge of the surrounding area. They also can provide sample itineraries for day trips that take in many of the wonderful outdoor activities. They were readily available if we needed anything.
Rapino and the Abruzzi region are really a beautiful part of Italy and we’re already making plans for our return. We’ll definitely stay at Majella Gardens again. All the other reviews are right on track. We had a fantastic stay and Jacquie and Stephen and their lovely apartment were a big part of it.
