The perfect way to see Dalmatia
This was one of the best vacations of my life (and I've traveled to 6 continents, 83 countries and work in the travel business). The boat, crew and food were nothing short of amazing.
First, the boat was much nicer than the photos show. It is an older sailboat, not a fiberglass high luxury boat, so you do need to consider whether you want to sail or motor (each offers different experiences).
There are 5 rooms, sleeping 10 adults total. There are 4 equal sized rooms that sleep 2 adults/room, each with their own full bathroom (we did only 1 person/room which seemed like the right occupancy). There is one master suite that sleeps a couple (2 adults) comfortably with a larger full bathroom. The back deck is fully covered, has ample seating for 8 people (if you want to nap, read, or share cocktail hour) and then a table that seats 10-12. Inside the cabin is a smaller table and bar area. At the front of the boat are 10 lounges on the hull for sunbathing, plus a smaller table and bench area which is perfect to watch the sunset. The boat is very well maintained and was much roomier than any of us anticipated. Also, none of us were seasick which I credit the crew with as they didn't sail when it was choppy.
Second, the crew of this boat was fantastic. They catered to our every need, from location requests, food needs, tips on where to go/eat/drink on every island and food preferences (by day 3 they knew what each person in our 6 person party liked for breakfast, what time, etc.) In addition, they always made us feel safe, were clear with the rules and provided plenty of activities on the boat for us to enjoy the ocean (kayaks, inner tubes, paddle boards, etc.).They also kept the boat clean at all times, making our beds daily, cleaning our rooms and making sure all of our shoes were accounted for. Despite endless requests, this crew never seemed rattled by us and met our every need - including espresso martinis to kick off happy hour each night.
Third, the chef/food. To say it was outstanding is an understatement. Our chef (Nada) studied under Gordon Ramsey and really pushed herself to impress us with every meal. From duck to octopus to seafood pasta to traditional dishes, it's hard to say which meal was our favorite. Breakfast was a huge meal every day with fresh bread the crew picked up daily from each port, meats, cheeses, eggs/omelettes, yogurt, cereal, and more. Like a full buffet breakfast.
Last, this is the only way to see Croatia. You choose the route/islands (we hit Dubrovnik, Korcula, Bol, Vis, Hvar and Split), you can change them at any point, and you can enjoy each island the way you want to and still get a peaceful night's sleep when docked.
Perhaps the only thing I should have said in this review was that it was so wonderful that we're already booked to do it again next year. It was that good.

The most relaxing vacation I have ever had. Something for everyone.
Overview-
We chartered Gulet Eleganza for a 7-day trip, starting in Dubrovnik and ending in Split. Our group selected half board with plans to get dinner in various ports. Plus the open bar package 🍾 We are a mixed crowd with various travel styles - early-risers, night owls, some loungers and some athletes/explorers, PLUS different dietary requests and restrictions. Amazingly, this crew was able to accommodate all of our whims and preferences.
We traveled from island to island, each stop more beautiful than the last. Our captain found gorgeous coves and bays to stop in for swim breaks in crystal clear water, water sports, fishing, and overnight stays. There are numerous activities available on and off the boat. By day, our trusty crew transported us by dinghy to national parks, quaint towns, beaches, and monasteries for exploration. By night, we ventured into towns for dinner, drinks, and dancing until all hours of the night. Whenever we called, regardless of the hour, one of our crew would materialize in minutes to take us to our next destination or 'home.'
The boat-
The gulet is elegant and very comfortable, inside and out. Outdoor spaces are covered with lounge pads and seats in sun and shade for ultimate relaxation. These areas were so comfortable that some of us chose to sleep outside under the stars and catch a stunning sunrise. The master stateroom is very spacious with full shower, good-sized bathroom, and plenty of hot water. Other staterooms are good sized - plenty of room for luggage and stretching out below deck and everybody had her own bathroom.
The food-
We were fortunate enough to enjoy the culinary talents of Nada onboard the Eleganza. Every day she wowed us with made-to-order breakfasts and multi course lunch or dinner or both. Nada used the freshest local ingredients, preparing well-seasoned, flavorful dishes with seafood & vegetables. I'm still dreaming about our last dinner of Pasticada, a traditional Croatian dish of stewed beef. So good. She patiently adjusted meal times around our schedule and delivered consistently delicious food.
The crew- saving the best for last.
The scenery, culture, and cuisine were stellar, but what elevated the experience to another level were the lovely crew with whom we shared it.
We had the pleasure of traveling with Chef Nada, Host/bartender/server/guide Leo, Sailor Tomo, and Captain Vlado. Never have I felt more doted on than this vacation.
Nada is awesome- sweet, charismatic, shares our love of music, and made extra efforts to transform our dining experiences into special occasions.
Somehow, Leo is awake and alert before we woke up, brewing strong coffee and still able to craft tasty cocktails late into the night. He is a master of anticipating just what you need and does everything in his power to ensure you are have the vacation of your dreams.
In addition to his sailing responsibilities, Tomo is largely responsible for getting us around safely- drop offs, pick ups, tolerating us on boisterous club nights. He is very kind, patient, and hardworking.
As for our Captain Vlado, we couldn't ask for a more calm, tolerant, and professional person at the helm. He adjusted routes according to our changing interests, answered countless questions, and most importantly, made sure that we were safe, comfortable, and happy throughout the entire trip.
This trip was fantastic thanks to the hardworking, fun loving crew. We are strongly considering a repeat next summer.

Eleganza and crew are The Best way to see Dalmatian Coast
Looking forward to going back to see Leo, Nada, Vlado, and Tomo. We had the trip of a lifetime!!!!
Food and service were better than my wildest imagination. We are planning a trip with them again next year and letting everyone we know that they should too.

Gulet Eleganza - AMAZING
Let me take you through the four legendary members of the Eleganza crew -
IVO, the cook: You melt with his sweet words and with a flutter of his eyes he has restored your faith in humanity. His food is mouth wateringly, life affirmingly delicious and yet he stays totally modest to our cries of praise. You will never go hungry but excitement will hit before each meal, wondering what wonderful dish is to be served. His food is better than any restaurant on the Croatian islands. A tear falls silently down my cheek as I think about making my own disgusting food. I have been utterly spoiled.
LEO, butler/barman: Bartender, host, he cares for your every need and looks after you as if you were his loved ones. First up and last to go to sleep, he commits to his job fully and is beyond superb at it. Constantly on his feet and with a smile on his face, he knows what you want to drink before you even know yourself. No job was too big or too small for Leo, with the simple reply to your request 'why not?'. Leo became our friend on the trip and we will miss him. I promise you, you will want to take him home with you when you leave. In fact you'll want to take the entire crew home with you. But they are all happily married with kids. I know I know, I can hear the hearts around the world breaking.
Captain MATE (Ma-Tay) : Captain, route organiser and overall God. An excellent Captain, comfortable in his knowledge of the sea. I never felt unsafe on his ship. A bonus - his smile makes men and women alike swoon from miles around. His tough and devilishly handsome exterior does not reveal his interior. But don't judge a book by its cover, he is shy, lovely and understanding of the Brits humour which granted isn't always very funny. Mate, your wife is a very lucky lady. If you ever get divorced, call me up. (I joke I joke)
VLADO, sailor: Don't let his young looks fool you, he drives with the talent of a wise old sea captain. Beyond patient, especially with the fathers of the family who wanted to recreate some kind of James Bond scene on the jet ski. Despite his sweet natured personality, he took no mercy on those on the biscuit, turning every which way so they flew off laughing into the sea. When you surfaced he had a huge grin on his face which was infectious.
Two stone heavier, a thousand times happier, thank you Eleganza crew for the most magnificent trip. Highly recommend you go for two weeks instead of one to have a wonderful holiday with a wonderful crew.
