Paradise! - Away from the insane congestion of San Pedro town

A spacious, comfortably decorated suite with all the amenities Americans and Europeans expect. We loved the beautiful granite countertops with a spacious, well-appointed kitchen with a view to the ocean, which allowed us to save hundreds of dollars on breakfasts, lunches and dinners by cooking in. Then you can relax and eat dinner on the veranda overlooking the infinity pool and the beautiful view of the ocean in front of you. Caye Caulker and the Hol Chan Marine preserve can be seen from the palapala on the dock. Wake early in the morning and take your coffee out on the dock to enjoy the sunrise and solitude. Later in the day take the kayaks around the end of the island for a magnificent view from the water. If you're quiet and the sea is calm you may catch a glimpse of a rare elusive crocs or the beautiful rosette spoonbill. A short hike down the road is the Marco Gonzales site, remnants of a small Mayan trading post which is still in the process of excavation and exploration. Also, there is a boat available for rent if you're into fishing, diving or exploration. A great way to spend a full or half day. The convenience of a gas powered golf cart is recommended as town is approximately 5 miles away. The road at night might seem dark and eerie, but we assure you it is completely safe except for frequent pot holes. These roads are constantly patrolled by the South Ambergris Caye neighborhood watch. This is a place for anyone who doesn't need to be pampered and is looking for a very civilized adventure away from the crowds. Mike and Joan, the owners are more than happy to assist with any information or needs. They are terrific people and this is a wonderful place to stay. This has become our preferred place to stay!!!!!

10/10 Seaside Casa is PARADISE!

Seaside Casa in San Pedro, Belize exceeded all expectations for our tropical getaway! The downstairs floor “apartment” provided all the essentials for a comfortable and memorable trip. It was clean, cozy and the internet speed and connection were so fast. My fiancé was very impressed. We couldn’t get enough of the serene private pool with its swim-up bar (not manned or stocked, but fun to have your hubby act as your cabana boy 😜) making every moment a refreshing retreat. The home is gated, safe and so peaceful. Surrounded by stunning grounds, including a private palapa overlooking the sea, we were treated to breathtaking views at every turn. The palapa made for an amazing back drop to a surprise proposal and is a small piece of paradise we will never forget. They have two nice two person kayaks, bocce ball and pool floaties for guest use. We used all of them and they helped make our trip even more fun. We highly recommend kayaking the clear turquoise waters. It was so much fun seeing all of the beautiful sea creatures and fish at the bottom of the ocean. The water is as clear as the pool. The owners were exceptional hosts, offering privacy while also being incredibly helpful from the moment we booked until our departure. They helped with our golf cart rental, info on travel to and from Belize city and all of the best restaurants and attractions the island has to offer. Seaside Casa is perfect for a romantic getaway or a chill vacay with your bestie. Our stay at Seaside Casa was nothing short of amazing, and we can’t wait to return! I wish I had more photos. I took mostly videos and can’t upload a video here. The pics truly don’t do this place justice. Once we were there we hardly wanted to leave. It’s like having your own little oasis.
