This two level 2 bedroom+sleeping loft/2 bath condo is in a 13 unit beachfront complex just south of San Pedro on Ambergris Caye. Condo A4 has a porch and a balcony overlooking the pool & the beach with a fabulous view of the Belize Barrier Reef!
On the condo's ground floor there's the porch plus a bedroom with queen bed, a full bathroom, full kitchen, and living/dining area with queen sleeper sofa. On the 2nd floor, there's a bedroom with a queen bed, a full bathroom, a loft area with 2 twin beds, and the veranda overlooking the pool and the sea.

Perfect Accommodations
We spent our Belize vacation in this wonderful condo “complex”! Everything was perfect from the interior to the exterior grounds, pool, beach, EVERYTHING! It was our first time to Belize and we are in love! Jason and the rest of the staff are wonderful. Barbara made the entire reservation seamless and made me feel very comfortable with what would be waiting for us upon arrival.

Perfect place to stay when visiting Ambergris Caye!
Barbara's condo is waterfront, with a pool, plenty of space, super clean, and a good location. It was stocked with everything we needed - bath towels, pool towels, extra sunscreen and bug spray, coffee pot (we need our morning boost!), you name it. There was plenty to do nearby (even if that means having an excursion tour pick you up at the end of the dock!) and having a little bodega around the corner was such a plus. Getting to town is just a golf cart ride away and we enjoyed all that we were able to discover along the way. What we appreciated most, however, was the thoughtfulness, responsiveness, and above-and-beyond service we received once booking with Barbara. The recommendations for tour operators, local restaurants, and even how to avoid bug bites were spot on. If/when we're back in Belize, we will for sure book with Barbara again!

Friendly, relaxing, beachfront vacation rental.
The pool, grounds and condo are well maintained. Condo is stocked with everything you need while on vacation. Barbara, Chapin and Juan Carlos were very friendly and extremely helpful. Having Suya Tours located directly behind the resort was very convenient for our snorkeling trips.

Great family-friendly beach condo
Great location--on the beach, with a pier, out of the hubbub of San Pedro, but near groceries and restaurants. Barbara was extremely helpful and provided all of the information you could need to get there and set up, and Juan Carlos the concierge was always there if you had more questions. Amenities were plentiful and rooms were spacious and comfortable. The only down side (and not a fault of the owner) was the sargasso/seaweed that washed up every morning--just be aware that this may limit your interest in beach strolls (it doesn't smell very nice). Just something to be aware of--hopefully it will go away soon!

Thanks so much Kristin for your review & glad you all enjoyed your stay! Yes, the sargasso issue is a bane to the Caribbean all over...an unpredictable suspected global warming issue that comes & goes. We of course like the large periods of time when it *goes*! But when it's here, our beach is of course cleaned of it daily. Hope you can come back sometime!

Phenomenal staff, exceptional value, amazing property
My family (my husband, 13 year old and 2 year old daughters, my mom, and I) stayed 8 nights in condo A4. The unit suited our needs perfectly and had all of the amenities of home to make us comfortable.
I would first like to mention that the staff of Sunset Beach have the best customer service of anywhere I have ever stayed (and I travel ALOT). Barbara was so helpful from the get-go with all of my tedious questions. I feel like I know her even though I never met her in person! Judy was so nice and made us feel at home when we arrived for check in. Chapin made sure our unit was ready for us when we arrived and even helped us open a coconut one evening!
The views truly are amazing....you can see the reef from the second floor veranda! The downstairs porch was a nice setting for many lunches. We grilled our dinner out on the gas and charcoal grills and had dinner next to the sand under the covered bar area. There were several hammocks hanging from the mature coconut trees. Plenty of shade on the beach to not worry as much about the sun. My 2 year old enjoyed building sandcastles and digging for shells. The unit had some sand toys in a closet, so we borrowed that (and also used what we brought along). The swimming pool was always crystal clean (the caretaker, Chapin, does an amazing job on the property).
The beach was raked daily of the Sargassum seaweed that seems to be plaguing the island. Although this grass can be beneficial to turtles, it also emits hydrogen sulfide if it washes up on the beach and is not cleaned up (decomposing Sargassum smells like raw sewage). Chapin seemed to be on the task of raking this up to keep the property looking and smelling as nice as possible. However, if you take a walk on the beach, you will see that this seaweed is a big problem. The gasses that it emits is not really a problem unless you have respiratory problems, are elderly, have babies or are pregnant. It is just really stinky.
The palapa at the end of the wooden pier was nice for sitting and watching the boats go by. We also snorkeled around and under the deck and found some amazing creatures living under there! A moray eel, nurse shark, and many fish were hanging out in and around the area.
We arranged for several excursions on our trip (Hol Chan/Shark Ray Alley snorkeling and several days of diving). The company we made arrangements with (Ramon's Village - also phenomenal) came and picked us up at the dock at no additional charge.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice review! I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay & got to use so many of the resort's amenities (including the coconut opening service! :). I'm sorry you were there to experience the Sargasso seaweed, which has been coming & going in recent months all over the Caribbean. But thank you for noticing that Chapin works hard to keep it at bay from our beach! That's great you were also able to do so many excursions -- the snorkeling & diving on the reef are amazing! Hope you can come back sometime & thanks again!

Really great. Everything as expected.
We found the condo just as advertised. The concierge helped us with making arrangements to travel. I would love to stay there again and would recommend it to others.

Good condo & property, in a great location!
From the first minutes we started the search, all the way to check out time, things went extremely perfectly.
Clean, organized, spacious, & has everything. The pool, beach area, dock, bikes, kayaks, & fast WiFi were all wonderful amenities to have available.
Barbara was professional and helpful during the whole process. Judy was helpful with the check-in process.
The caretaker, Chapin, was most helpful with every question & request during the whole stay period.
We were very lucky & happy with everything. We'd do this again in a heartbeat!

Relaxation, tranquility, excellent adventures
5 of us recently enjoyed Holy Week at Sunset Beach. What an extremely relaxing vacation - I utilized the hammocks every morning and whenever I could in the afternoon/evening. There is a lovely strong breeze that comes in from the sea usually in the morning and evening.
For us, this was a great vacation spot, as many other places were sure to be packed with Spring Breakers; we had mostly peace and quiet, as usually 4-5 other small groups/couples occupied the other rentals.
Location is good, a golf cart was very handy for getting into town but not totally necessary. We used bikes frequently and used the kayaks a couple of times. Suya tours is right behind the building and a small corner store half a block away. There were several great restaurants in town, coffee shops, etc.
My only negative was that (I think this applies to San Pedro in general) the beaches are not good for swimming - it is very shallow and has A LOT of turtle grass.

I am thrilled that you all had such a relaxing stay--that's just how vacations are supposed to be! I love how both "tranquility" & "adventures" are in your review title; seems you definitely took advantage of the best of both worlds.
Yes, the turtle grass is present at most, if not all, of the beaches in the area; it can't be removed for environmental reasons. Many enjoy using the swim ladder off our pier if they don't swim from the beach. The plus of the turtle grass is that it's what helps make San Pedro such a fabulous place to snorkel & scuba dive--it brings amazing sea life!

Beautiful beach, spacious and spotless accommodations!
We stayed here as a group of 7 for 3 nights. Our driver was waiting for us at the dock and when we arrived, Judy checked us in right away. Each bedroom was spacious and well-maintained - we definitely had enough space to spread out and relax! All units in the resort faced the beach - loved being steps away from the water! Huge balcony with 2 hammocks. Kitchen was well-stocked and the convenience store was right around the corner. The only downside for us was that it was 2.5 miles from the town (too far to walk, $10USD taxi ride each way). Although it was far from town, we did love the secluded and clean beach we had all to ourselves. Overall we had a great time and all loved our stay here. Would highly recommend to families and groups travelling together.

La plupart des gens louer des voiturettes de golf lors de la visite Ambergris Caye (il est impossible de louer une voiture). Notre équipe de conciergerie peut organiser votre location voiturette de golf et faites-le vous attend à Sunset Beach à votre arrivée si vous le souhaitez. Les frais de location dépendent de la taille de panier et le temps de l'année mais commencent à environ 275 $ / semaine. Comme mentionné précédemment, il y a aussi des vélos et des kayaks gratuits disponibles à la station. Il est sur une balade à vélo de 10 minutes en ville. Il est également possible de marcher jusqu'à la ville, soit par la plage (40 minutes à une heure, selon la rapidité avec laquelle vous marchez) ou par la route (un peu plus). Les taxis sont également disponibles.
