Villa Dar Zitouna is the perfect luxury break.
The villa is a delight and would get a five star billing from every one of our party which had an age range of 7 to 70. A beautiful building with delightfully decorated spacious rooms throughout. We spent every evening enjoying the sunset on the huge roof terrace, with gorgeous views of the Atlas mountains.
The expansive garden is a horticulturalist’s delight, and the pool was a huge hit, with kids notching up hours in the water. The staff were charming, the service amazing and the food was totally knock out. The Moroccan salads and the chicken and lamb tagines were particular favourites. The taxi service was highly efficient and Marrakech is less than half an hour away, so you can easily visit the Medina and return to this oasis of tranquillity. Don’t miss the local market and guided walk in the Atlas Mountains, again – only half an hour away. Plus the camel rides come highly recommended - the camels will come to your front door. In summary Villa Dar Zitouna is the perfect luxury break.

Dar Zitouna is just heaven, and we can't wait to visit again
Dar Zitouna was the family holiday highlight of our year. The villa is stunning, the staff are extremely helpful, the chef is a magician, and the whole experience was perfect from start to finish. The gardens are beautiful, and the weather was perfect and blue-sky-sunny in the mid-30s, which answered any concerns we had about our trip being in the heat of mid-August. Our adventures ranged from hot air ballooning, a two hour quad safari, various hilltop and lakeside lunch locations and the obligatory visit into the ancient city medina. In all cases simply wonderful, for all of us, from eight years old to eighty. A perfect way to use my 100th Trip Advisor review!

The best stay you could hope for!
We visited Marrakesh for a few days as a surprise birthday for one of my friends. We travelled as 5 girls in total and we stayed at Dar Zitouna for 4 days.. you will not be disappointed! The help we received in booking restaurants and excursions was more than what we expected, and this house made us feel like it was our second home. We ran into a few issues with our excursions being cancelled on the day of our friends birthday because of the bad weather, but Mustapha and Nadia proved that anything is possible. Mustapha was able to arrange a spa very last minute and Nadia had a cake ready for the evening before we went to dinner. I would definitely recommend, it really is the home of dreams and a good distance between busy Medina and peace and quiet. Hope to visit again!

Return to paradise
Rarely do we return to a location twice, with so many other wonderful places in the world to visit. However Dar Zitouna is in a different league, it was every bit as special as our first visit and this is in no small part due to the fantastic staff, Mohamed, Nadia, Zahira, Hussain and the latest addition to the team Aisha. The villa is truly exceptional and combined with the amazing staff this makes for a truly memorable holiday,
Although this was March we enjoyed many sunny days on the roof terrace, ideal location for breakfast with amazing views to the mountains, followed by some time doing nothing by the pool but reading and swimming. On the slightly cooler days Nadia would light the fire to warm and create a wonderful atmosphere in the house.
As our previous visit we enjoyed Zahira's cooking for all of our stay and washed down with some rather nice red wine this was a great way to spend an evening. Mohammed would always bring some mint tea after the evening meal and this was the perfect way to wind down before retiring to our room.
The villa has the perfect combination of understated luxury, combined with an amazing location, with a staff that are second to none. It really is one of our great holiday locations and it will probably be visited again before too long.

This is a gorgeous house, beautifully decorated and supremely comfortable. There is also a delightful and very large garden and a nice pool area.
The staff make it very special. very attentive and helpful house managers, a really good cook produced delicious meals, and excellent housekeepers kept it spotless.
It's only about half an hour from Marrakech airport - very easy to get to making it ideal for a short break although we stayed for 10 days. It was blissful and we hardly bothered to venture out much as the house was so nice.

perfect family holiday
we were looking for a relaxed and stress free family holiday - just 4 adults and 4 kids. We found it in this house.
As you can see from the images the house is uber comfortable, but what you don't see is the team that look after you and excursions they organise for you.
I couldn't recommend a family villas more - and given that we have particularly high standards it is credit and accolade to the family and staff who run this house. Thank you to the Mohammed and the team.

Luxury, elegance and relaxation - heavenly!
The villa was simply perfect for our family holiday - we traveled with our two small children and were joined by another family with young kids. The configuration of rooms are so well laid out that it lends itself perfectly to a multi generational family or two families traveling together. The villa is absolutely stunning - every room has been beautifully produced with such care and attention to detail. The gardens are huge and so well kept. The staff are amazing and produced the most delicious food for both the adults and the kids (perfect fodder for the youngsters, spag bol, sausages, pizza, macaroni cheese - all their favourites!). The pool area is perfect for relaxing with incredible views of the Atlas mountains. We went up into the mountains for one day and into Marrakech itself for another but I would have been just as happy not to have left the blissful villa for a whole week. We will be returning!

Luxurious and supremely comfortable base for a family reunion
The villa was booked by our daughter in law who invited both sets of grandparents to join their party, which comprised 6 adults and a toddler. The villa is simply stunning in every respect: spacious, supremely comfortable, elegantly furnished and beautifully maintained. It is fully staffed, and we took full advantage of the fabulous service offered by Mohammed, the house manager, and his team, who were always on hand to help - in organising trips and outings, making tea, offering advice and providing an early toddler supper. Special mention has to be made of Zahira's cooking, which was simply delicious - and I would echo other reviewers comments that it was the best food we ate in Morocco. There is a menu from which you need to choose beforehand, and all to eat the same; the choice varied between traditional Moroccan fare and international dishes - we stuck mainly to Moroccan. Whilst we were there, the evenings were distinctly chilly, but fires were lit at sun down, there was central heating and it was lovely to sink into comfy sofas for an apero knowing that excellent food would soon follow. The large gardens and a variety of outdoor spaces are beautiful too, with stunning views of the Atlas Mountains from most of the rooms. A wonderful, luxurious treat in every respect.

First class in all respects
We stayed with a large group of friends and children and all agreed that the Villa was excellent in all respects. Excellent staff including an amazing cook, a beautiful house with masses of space and a very quiet and private setting. Although the weather was very hot (over 40 degrees) the pool and air conditioning made it all perfect.
