this villa is lovley. its location is near everything you need . there is so many little restaurants all within walking distance. Bohput only a 15 taxi or bus ride away . thankyou sue and you team we had a fabulous stay hopefully back soon .

This is a quiet area but close to the beach. We hired a car organised by Sue which was invaluable in seeing all of the island. My only complaint was the hard bed it would have been improved with a memory foam topper .The pool was excellent and very clean. All of the staff were excellent the villa was cleaned twice weekly and pool every 3 days. Kitchen and couches were of a high standard .The villa was very private perfect for 2 couples. I appreciated the complementary night when we arrived at 9 pm the day before our booking. We would visit again

We’ve just returned from a wonderful fortnight in Baan Tai Tara 4; and just wish we could have stayed longer. We first saw the villa when we stayed at its sister property, Tara 3 next door, in 2014. We had our children with us at the time, but decided that Tara 4 would be ideal when we returned without them. If you want a more independent holiday, with a private and beautifully appointed oasis where you can escape the crowds, then this may be the ideal place. The villa is modern, spotlessly clean and cool, with every amenity you might want; and a great pool. We love Baan Tai village – it’s a close and friendly community, with a rustic charm; but with everything you might need, on your doorstep. The lovely unspoilt Baan Tai beach is a five-minute walk away (a great place to watch some of the incredible Samui sunsets); and Pa Pen, the nearest local Thai restaurant (essentially the converted car-port of a house two doors up from the villa) serves some of the best food we ate during our 2 weeks. In addition, the levels of service you receive from Sue (Jacquie’s local representative) and Aoo, the Housekeeper, are at least equal to the best hotels we have stayed in. This was our second stay at Baan Tai Tara 4; and certainly, won’t be our last.

Exclusive villa in quiet spot on Koh Samui. Here you have everything needed. Pool was very refreshing, we used it in all times of day. Villa is located on side street coming from ring road towards beach and surrounded by beautiful tropical vegetation. Just next to villa are two good thai massage parlours and wonderful restaurant Pa Pen. On corner of ring road is 7-Eleven and currency exchange. Fruit you can buy from 2 opposite shops. 300 m down the street is local beach, which is quiet shallow, good for children. For deeper beach you have to go 3 km to Mae Nam.

We have just left after 3 weeks with heavy hearts as we loved the place so much. As previous reviewers have said, the place is well equipped, beautifully decorated and furnished and a superb place as a base. The staff keep th place spotless, and any small issues we had were dealt with by Sue and her staff very quickly. Again, the shops and eating places are all within a couple of minutes walk. Pa Pen is the local eatery, with plastic chairs and scruffy tables. don’t be put off though as the food is excellent and unbelievably cheap, literally £1-£2 a dish! We ate here for lunch quite a lot and never had any hadany issues. Mimosa is on the beach and is more like UK prices, but has the most amazing views over the sea at sunset. Happy Hour 5-7, two cocktails for one. On the walk to the beach there is a little crossroads with another place to eat. This has the best tempura prawns & veg spring rolls andwe ever tasted, and all for £2, it is a fantastic place. We fell in love with Koh Samui last year and stayed in a 5 star resort, but Baan Tai Tara is better than anything, and we loved every minute. Dont overpack your bags either as the litle shop does your washing and ironing for 50 baht per kilo, so for a fiver you get enough washing for two people for a week. The little shop also has a few tables where you can sit and have a beer, the only downside was the clientele that use it. Chainsmoking Germans, who told us the table we were sat on was “ their table as they had been there for 20 yrs” I will let you guess the response they got from a very straight talking 18 stone Yorkshireman. Needless to say we had no further issues. We fully intend to come back next year and look forward to meeting our new found friends in the area. Mike & Rachel

This villa was just perfect for our first week in Koh Samui. Everything was just as described and loved the area. We were able to walk to the beach which was minutes down the road and there are several places to eat within walking distance. The market is seconds from the villa which provided necessities for snacks or breakfast and the woman who works there was a friendly face everyday. Further down the road is the main road where the 7-11 is. Several mornings we walked down to get our thai iced teas from a little beverage stop near the 7-11. Definitely recommend eating at Pa Pen and the pizzeria which is seconds from the villa. Kept in constant contact with Sue who was quick to address any questions or concerns. The only downside is that it rained most of our time so we were not able to use the pool as much but we cozied up on the couch watching Netflix. The villa is some distance from the fisherman’s village and walking street but you can get a taxi from the place right across the villa. They were reasonable and very friendly. You cannot go wrong staying here and was just a lovely time.

Villa à la décoration soignée, proche de commerces (épiceries, restaurants, location de véhicules et de mobylettes, salon de massage), calme car elle est loin de l'agitation de villes touristiques comme Chaweng. La plage est à deux pas. Sue, gérante de la villa, est très facilement disponible en cas de souci.Nous sommes des habitués des villas de Jacquie et c'est toujours avec un grand plaisir que nous y passons nos vacances.

Villa is situated in a quiet local village in Koh Samui. The villa is spacious and well appointed with everything you need. Kitchen is gorgeous. We stayed with a 3 year old and a 1.5 year old and had no issues with the pool only that they wanted to stay in it too long. We had beautiful massages just down the road, made use of the local shops and enjoyed a few nice evenings at a restaurant called Mimosa who were so accommodating of the children we had to return. Would definitely recommend and we we would definitely return

This excellent villa was all we hoped it would be and more. The villa is very tastefully furnished, modern, very clean and the villa, pool and garden were very well maintained and very private. Sue was very helpful with advice on all sorts of local facilities. We could not fault it. A real bonus for us was the location. There are several restaurants very close by which served simple but very tasty and reasonably priced food. Our favourite was Mai Tai where the staff were very friendly and the food very good. We also loved the stroll to the quiet beach which was clean sandy and excellent for swimming. The Boom Bar at the end of the beach served very pleasant cocktails at 90 Baht (about £2) which we drank as the sun set.(don't forget your mozzie repellant) We also made good use of the shop directly opposite the villa which was run by a very friendly couple called Yuu and Tong. The shop was very well stocked at reasonable prices and we tended to use that in preference to the 7/11 at the end of the road. This was our first visit to Thailand and we thoroughly enjoyed the villa and the whole experience. We will back.
