Monarch Apartments Colombo
Visited the Monarch apartment recently as I needed to be somewhere with all the comfortable amenities whilst being able to feel 'at home' in my own space.
The luxury apartment is one of my favourites; well-presented, spacious and modern deco with absolutely fantastic views of the sea!
The hi speed wifi connection and cable TV is also a plus.
Located very close to crescent boulevard shopping was convenient and Galle Face beach was just around the corner.
The area itself is always very lively and full of life. There are a few other reputable hotels close-by so plenty of restaurants, bars and activities.
A fairly central location and very easy to get a tuk tuk for travel.
I would definitely recommend Monarch Apartments and hope to be staying again in the future.

Great Location, Well Furnished, Very Happy
As apartments go in Sri Lanka**, I would definitely consider this apartment one of the best we have stayed in so far. It is well furnished, clean, has excellent ocean views and everything worked (The landlord did mention that the washing machine wasn't working too well and wanted to fix it but since we didn't plan to use it we said no). My only criticism is that the lounge furniture was soiled and could definitely use a dry clean. Unfortunately this takes away from the otherwise pristine condition of the place. The landlord and his agent were very courteous and helpful too.
We checked in at 1AM in the morning without any problem and appreciated that the fridge was stocked with bottled water, and milk and there was a supply of tea and coffee for us.
We would happily book this apartment again.
**Typically apartments in Sri Lanka are not up to Western standards. A 5 star apartment in Sri Lanka equates to a 4 star in the west.

Superbe
I went 3 times, in this apartment. I feel at home in this apartment. It is in a great location, has a beautiful view of the sea; There is everything you need in the complex (with the small supermarket in the basement). The pool is also very nice. I can only advise this rental which is really superb. Sri Lanka is a very nice country and this rental brings you comfort. The location is ideal!
Je suis allée 3 fois, dans cet appartement. Je me sens chez moi dans cet appartement. Il est très bien situé, on a une belle vue sur la mer; Il y a tout ce qu'il faut dans le complexe (avec le petit supermarché en sous-sol) . La piscine est aussi très agréable. Je peux seulement conseiller cette location qui est vraiment superbe. Le Sri Lanka est un pays très agréable et cette location vous apporte le confort. L'emplacement est idéal !

Lovely sea view apartment in top location
This is a nicely furnished modern 2 bed 2 bath apartment and has fabulous ocean view.
We really enjoyed our stay here in April this year.
The most amazing thing is, you can take the lift and go down to the basement to food court and good supermarket with fresh bakery and fruits. You can buy hot cakes every evening in the bakery.
The Cinnamon Grand hotel is a great place to eat and relax. There are so many lovely restaurants and nice coffee shop - just walk across the corridor from the 1st floor of Monarch Tower.. Short walk to Galle Face Green from the apartment, which we did every evening for pleasant sea breeze.
The apartment is well furnished with super fast internet and large 40 inch TV.
We will be back. We enjoyed our stay here very much.
