The pictures really don't do Kalamansi House justice - I mean we were expecting it to be nice but we're absolutely blown away when we arrived. The place is just stunning - the design, the layout, the facilities, the staff, the VIEWS.
We stayed for 6 nights - a large group of adults and children from UK and Dubai whom i'd managed to convince to attend our wedding in Philippines, where a week afterwards at Kalamansi House was part of our honeymoon - and it was just wonderful. I had high hopes from the outset after seeing the photos and having good dealings with the villa owner, Nico, in the run up, but those expectations were surpassed from the moment we arrived and all of the guests were as delighted with the as I was relieved.
All bedrooms are excellent - not a bad one here. All are spacious, comfortable with great wash/shower facilities, comfy beds (a mix of doubles and twins depending on the room). The downstairs area is a large open-plan area with large kitchen, lounge, dining area etc, which all leads out onto the most incredible decked terrace with sunken lounge, covered chill-out area, outdoor bar, outdoor dining area with BBQ/pizza oven and a 20m long infinity pool, as well as the most incredible views out of White Beach and surrounding areas, including views of the famous Boracay sunset. There is wi-fi throughout the villa. This place is really out of this world.
On top of this are the staff, which just make the stay so easy and relaxed. From Chei, the manager who will assist in anything you require (grocery shopping, arranging tours, anything really), to Ben the driver who is always on call to take/collect you from anywhere on the island day or night, to the girls doing the cooking and cleaning and always preparing wonderful meals, all the staff are really warm, friendly and super efficient, without you even really noticing they are there. Chei and the team will make sure that the cupboards are always stocked with food and the bar always stocked with beer or whatever else you may fancy.
The villa itself is a little bit away from the action of White Beach, up some rough tracks, so transportation is required (and provided), but once you arrive at the villa you most probably wont want to leave anyway - we certainly didn't.
We honestly had the best time here. An incredible place. Every single one of our guests loved it and were sad to leave.
One of the best places I have ever stayed. Cannot recommend Kalamansi House highly enough.
