perfect location with a host that goes above & beyond
This home is a great bargain. It is much bigger than it looks in the photos. It is located in a peaceful neighborhood that is only a $3 cab ride do the Historic Center of Quito (which is so beautiful!). We enjoyed walking to the local coffee shop, convenience store for milk and bread, fruit shop and full grocery store. But the most amazing thing about this place is the host, Sandra. I have stayed in over 30 different home rentals by owner and Sandra has been, by far, the most attentive and the most helpful. The fact that she works is tourism is such a huge plus. She was able to arrange a white water rafting excursion for us as well as an outing to the Middle of the World combined with the ruins of Rumicucho and the Pululahua Volcano crater. I highly recommend these accommodations and Sandra's expertise!!

Good value, comfortable, safe, spacious, excellent host. Highly recommended.
We stayed for 2.5 months. We have experienced various AirBNB's, B&B's, hostels and hotels and this one is tops for quality, tourist support, location and value for money. With 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, full kitchen and 2 sitting rooms, there is room to accommodate a group and allow personal space. Located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We enjoyed the action of the city centre and returned to our quiet Casa. Like to walk? just 20 minutes to the nearest mall and 5 minutes to interesting park and archaeological site. Planning to eat at home? 5 minutes to fruit/vegetable market, 15 minutes to supermarket. Variety of restaurants with good food 5 - 10 minutes away: sushi, pizza, pasta, tacos, good Ecuadorian Almuerzo. Best dessert bakery in Quito! A short taxi--ride to historic city centre, teleferiQo (cable car) and various sites. Host Sandra is knowledgeable, responsive, always helpful and kind in Spanish, English and French (we only needed Spanish & English). Sandra is super tour guide. Her tour of historic city centre included features of particular interest to us. I took Spanish lessons from Sandra and they were fun and tailored to my needs. An excellent experience and highly recommended for group or couple who appreciate more space than a typical hotel. Taxis are easily accessible.

I hope you are doing fine in Canada and getting little by little back to "normality." Here we are doing the same but with the uncertainty of this totally unexpected experience.
We wish the world will get a new understanding for healthy growth and the knowledge of how to care better for the planet and for our families.

Beautiful, large and very safe apartment in Quito
Relaxed neighbourhood, a little out of the 'Old Town', close to the business areas, being about a $2-3 cab fare to any of the major areas.
The host Sandra is a 'local' - delightful, very informative, helpful and a natural English speaker, eager to advise and please. She sourced and took us on a great day tour to Quilotoa.
The apartment is very tastefully set-up with miles of room for a family, with all facilities in excellent order. Sandra was essentially on call for us.
Nightlife options not immediately available but a short cab ride away.
Would be 'budget' for a family.

Perfect choice for your stay in Quito
The apartment is perfectly located in central Quito, 15-minute taxi ride (will only cost you $2) from either historical centre to the south or the Carolina park to the north. For going out, the Mariscal district with its many cafes and restaurants is walking distance from the apartment.
The apartment itself is very spacious and bright, spaces are furnished and decorated with taste, rooms are confortable and cosy. It's perfectly clean and equipped with everything you might need - kitchen utensils, bathroom amenities, fridge, washing mashine etc. The second 'inner' salon with its high glass roof is impressing and simply perfect to spend an evening watching your favourite movie or reading a book.
Special thanks to Sandra, the host, who was extremely nice and helpful. Having worked in tourism, Sandra knows everything about Quito and its surrounds, and was of a great help and always available when I needed her.
I will definitely book this apartment again when I go back to Quito, and I do recommend it without hesitation.

WE FOUND THE PERFECT STAY IN QUITO!
My husband, my son and I, just returned from two and half months traveling in Ecuador. Quito was our camp base at Sandra’s great apartment and did trips all around without worrying about our belongings or packing in and out all the time.
This is an ideal setup for independent travelers. We didn't pre-book expensive packaged tours or travel. Sandra helped us organize it all, bookings included when we decided to stay several days away. Or if we wanted to go on our own, which saved money and for us, we had the best tips to enhance the experience.
We were lucky as she found a very good tour to the Galapagos Islands in an off period, for much less. A must, we had an amazing experience!
We were so lucky finding this place, very warm just like home, all the amenities we could ever need and the best, totally private. Sandra was the icing on the cake, we are happy to consider great friends!
Thanks so much Sandra, here you have a place to stay whenever you come visit us!

“très bon qualité prix et très bien situé”
On a loué pour 6 personnes. Très bel accueil et appartement. A notre arrivée tout était en bon état et propre. Nous avons tout de suite pus retrouver nos repères dans le quartiers à l'aide d'un petit cahier guide que Sandra, la proprio, nous a laissé.
Sandra est toujours disponible pour toute info et nous a souvent aider organiser nos petits voyages hors de Quito, tout en prenant en compte le temps et budget qu'on avait.

On se revoir bientôt pour l'entrainement pour la compétition de Fred. Laisse-moi savoir les dates possibles pour tout organiser avec l’entraîneur. Il faudra quelque jours de travail de climatisation pour l’altitude avant de commencer la course. Si besoin de quoi que ce soit laisse-moi savoir.

Un grand chez soi en plein coeur de Quito
Ce grand appartement a été un des hébergements forts de notre mois en Équateur. Sandra nous a accueilli comme si on faisait partie de la famille. L'espace est grand, très confortable. calme et très sécuritaire. On s'y est senti comme à la maison malgré le fait que l'endroit soit situé au centre de Quito dans un quartier plutôt chic. On y a cuisiné pour le repas de fin de journée avec autant de facilité qu'on l'aurait fait au Québec. Un grand supermarché est à distance de marche (1.50$ en taxi pour le retour) et les équipements de cuisine y sont parfaits. Les chambres sont spacieuses et nos trois ados ont bien profité de leur intimité. Le wifi est rapide, l'eau est chaude et avec une bonne pression (ce qui peut être rare dans ce pays...) et l'appart dispose d'un lave-linge qui nous a permis de repartir en propre pour la troisième semaine. Enfin, Sandra nous a été d'une grande utilité puisque nous avons retenu ses services de guide/traductrice pour rayonner autour de Quito avec mini-van et chauffeur (merci à Luis). Cela nous a donné la possibilité de discuter dans notre langue, de comprendre mieux la culture et l'histoire de ce pays en mutation. Bref, nous vous conseillons ce petit bijou qui pour nous reste mémorable.

Attractive,convient,clean ,comfortable and safe apartment.
Hello from Nashville-We have just returned from Quito Ecuador and a lovely stay with Sandra L.This exotic local features a natural beauty and unknown to us in the Northern hemisphere.The Ecuadorian people are warm and welcoming. We had clean lovely accomodations with Ms Sandra 's apartment in Quito.Sandra is a native of the Ecuador with a vast knowledge of the sites of the area.She also is fluent in Spainish French and England.She however went far above and beyond caring for us when we became ill. She shopped for us providing liquids and wonderful soup.She also transported us to the airport to catch a very early flight.

Fantastic Apartment and Guide!
We were with Sandra for four days. She was an excellent guide. We stayed in her beautiful home for one night before touring other places in Ecuador. Her home is lovely. The apartment that we stayed in had 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms a fully equipped kitchen which was stocked with fruit, juice, coffee and tea. We arrived late at night. She picked us up at the airport. We were tired and opened the door to this gorgeous apartment. The bed was very comfortable. Sandra was a huge help to us with her navigation of the roads and language. I would highly recommend her apartment. I would even go a step further and highly recommend her as your guide to this beautiful city and Country.
I forgot to mention how friendly and hospitable that Sandra is. We had lots of laughter and fun during our 4 days with Sandra as our guide. She was very helpful in the restaurants and helped introduce us to native drinks and food. She also was a huge help in the markets in Otavalo. We also toured the cloud forrest in Mindo. She led us on a beautiful waterfall hike. I can't imagine our trip without having her as our guide. We initially met Sandra through Quito my home. After emailing, we found that she is also a guide. So, we not only stayed at her beautiful and comfortable apartment, we also found a wonderful guide and friend. Thank you Sandra

A Special Place on Our Hearth!
Once we decided to visit Ecuador we started righ away the search of a place to stay
We looked in sevaral sites and this apartment keept coming again and again with perfect FIVE STARS comments. So I read almost all of them. They were all very consistent so I wrote to have a better feeling.
Sandra the owner, help us clarify our trip planning and to manage a better budget which help us include four glorious days in Galapagos!!!
The apartment was a warm place to relax and enjoy family time. As well as cooking great meals with fresh fruits and vegetables from just around the corner.
We even took some cooking clases with our three kids. Sandra showed us how to prepare QUINUA SOUP WITH CHEESE sooo yummy!!! FRITADA roasted pork with onions and garlic!!! And CEVICHE DE CAMARON!!!
We all enjoyed eating and learning some Spanish. This was a great activity for all ages.
Sandra also took us to churches out of the turistic path which were hiden gems we would have never found them on our own.
Well recommended, the time here was totally worth!!!

It was so fun cooking with your family. Sofy's ability to peel the shrimps just amazed me! She will become a great cook, no doubt.
When convenient, please send me dates your in laws are coming to Quito. If they need anything please let them know they can write me for information they might need. Please tell them for the Galapagos cruises they will need to book it well in advance if they are coming around December.
