Just returned after ten days in September in this charming apartment. Ivana and Stjepan very friendly and helpful and had a delicious cool drink and biscuits waiting for us on arrival and various treats throughout stay. Apartment attractive, clean, light and airy. Well equipped kitchenette/comfortable lounge area, nice bedroom, large bathroom/toilet and always plenty of hot water. It is very quiet and close to everything in the Old Town, city walls, churches, museums, shops and beautiful old harbour with boat trips to islands. Also nearby is cable car up Mount Srd, beautiful Banje Beach, plus numerous other swimming areas and local buses running to other beaches. Easy to get to from airport in comfortable shuttle bus to Pile Gate and from there the apartment was only a few minutes walk away. Do not understand the one previous negative review which was so opposite to everything we experienced. Thank you Ivana.

Location is perfect, apartment really beautiful, cozy and most important: very very clean!!Quiet place even in the center of old town. Couldn’t be better! Ivana and Stjepan are great hosts, so kind people which helped us a lot with all we needed, very accessible and nice! Must stay in Dubrovnik, for sure would be back! Thanks Ivana and Stjepan

Wir waren als Familie in Dubrovnik mit drei Jungs und ich kann sagen das Apartment ist einfach super. Sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Es liegt total zentral und ist trotzdem nicht laut. Die Matratzen sind so hochwertig und bequem, dass wir super geschlafen haben. Ivana und Ihr Mann sind so freundlich, herzlich und hilfsbereit, dass wir uns wie zu Hause gefühlt haben. Ivana hat uns ganz Dubrovnik gezeigt und uns alles über Dubrovnik erzählt. Sie waren so freundlich, das wir sogar unser Auto in deren Wochenendhaus außerhalb sicher parken konnten. Der Mann von Ivana hat uns dann mit seinem Auto nach Dubrovnik gebracht. Mehr Freundlichkeit geht echt nicht. Die ganze Familie ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Ivana hat uns mit kalten Getränken empfangen und uns genau erklärt, wo wir was bekommen und wo wir am besten essen können. Direkt unter dem Apartment ist ein super Restaurant. Wir waren von dem ganzen Urlaub so begeistert. Und würden immer wieder zu Ivana und Ihrer Familie gehen. Ich kann nur sagen wir haben sehr hohe Ansprüche und die wurden hier super erfüllt. Wir sind Ivana sehr dankbar und freuen uns auf das nächste Mal in Dubrovnik.

Visited Dubrovnil in September 2017 and booked accommodation with Apartment Dubrovnik Old Town Cozy Elegant 4U through Trip Advisor. It was an utter disaster. No where on the web site it is written that the accommodation is on the third floor and to get to it one has to climb a lot many steps with the heavy luggage. The point was clarified with the owners through Trip Advisor but did not get a straight forward reply. The welcome was rather odd. Ivana could see that I was sweating as I had to pull the bags up the steep stairs to the flat. But she demanded that we hand over our documents and she will not wait for me to recover my breath. It is not mentioned anywhere that we could not check in late in the night inspite of informing her three times about it. The flat was really dirty with stains everywhere, specially the sofa in the drawing room. The slanting roof in the bed room was so low that I banged my head while going to bed and while getting up, everytime and ended up having bumps on my head in four days. We ran out of water the first morning and were blamed that we have not utilising the water properly. Till that time none of us had shower or used the toilet. The same was for the toilet. It was in such a tiny space that whenever one used it, invariably would bang the arm or legs on to the corners. The size should be mentioned on the web site so that a customer could make a proper judgement. The bed sheet on the bed was torn. Will warn others before using this property. Pets are not allowed. But the owner does not say that she has a pet and it barks everytime you approach or leave the apartment. Did not see any negative comment about them on the site. Wonder whether they have been removed?

Ivana welcomed our family of tired travellers in such a wonderful way with a warm welcome and cool drinks and ice cream for all on arrival. We spent only two nights but hope to stay longer next time! The apartment is easy to find and most easily accessed from Pile gate via the Stradun. The apartment was perfect for our party of 5 (children 12, 10, 4) with 2 main rooms containing two large beds and a bathroom with bath and separate shower and a separate toilet. The apartment contains a small kitchenette with fridge and cooking facilities, perfect for a family's needs. The beds are super comfortable and there are nice views out the high windows and skylight in the main bedroom which adds light to this cozy space. The location is perfect and close to everything in the historical centre of Dubrovnik and we really appreciated being in the old town for lovely late evening walks without the crowds. Most enjoyable was meeting Ivana, Stjepan and their daughter and really getting to know a little about Ivana's wonderful family history in Dubrovnik and thereby understand far more about Dubrovnik's past and what has shaped this wonderful old town. We had a superb time here and will certainly be back. My wife and I visited in 2001 (wow things got trendy here) but away from the madding crowds and in our discussions with Ivana, Dubrovnik really charmed our socks off all over again! L appartement etait tout a fait conforme a la description et idéalement situé au centre de la vielle ville. Appartement cosy et très très propre très bien agencé on se sentait comme a la maison. La literie confortable a souhait appréciée le soir venu apres les longues balades de la journée. Ivana et stephen on était a la fois très discret ettoujours aux petits soins avec nous : petit pot de bienvenu, serviette de plage retrouvée lavée et pliée le matin des petits conseils quand on en avait bessoin bref ils ont contribué a faire de notre premier sejour en croatie un sejour innoubliable. Encore merci. Nous recommanderons sans hesiter cet appartement et y reviendrons sans hesitation pour notre prochain sejour a dubrovnick

We stayed in this apartment during a hot week in August and were so pleased to have found it during the peak season. It is a charming suite with a main sitting room that has a comfortable couch and a twin bed, with a separate bedroom with a double bed. Huge bathroom and small kitchenette add up to all one needs for traveling with a family (in our case our college age son). The air-conditioner cooled the room down quickly, and it felt refreshing to be able to stop in for a respite during busy sightseeing days. Wi-Fi worked beautifully. I don't know why anyone would want to stay in impersonal cramped hotels when one can find properties such as this. The owner was very friendly and helpful, just as everyone has stated. Thank you for making our stay in Dubrovnik so pleasant!

Ivana and her husband treated us like family. Ivana helped us with suggestions of what to do in Dubrovnik and was a wealth of information. The apartment was amazing. The very BEST location within the walled city. The beds were really comfortable, the views from the bedrooms were spectacular, it was clean and cool and Ivana did whatever she could to make us feel at home.

We have really enjoyed our time here. The flat is small but well equipped with everything that one needs. The beds are wonderfully comfortable. There is even a small courtyard to sit out in, a rarity in the old town. The location couldn't be better, in the heart of the old town. Ivana is a charming hostess - friendly, helpful and informative with a great sense of humour. I thoroughly recommend it

wonderful stay in this charming apartment in central dubovnik just minutes from stradum. and dconvenient to everything this seductive city has to offer. our hostess ivana was such a wonderful person full of stories and reminescences about both pre-war and wartime dubrovnik which is now such a clean and b eautiful city. highly recommend the apartment.
