Hosts staying within the villa complex made a big difference in the hospitality. Ayu's local tips on shopping, eating etc were all spot on. Both, Ayu and Ngurah, were accommodating and responsive to all our needs. Breakfast was delicious in a perfect open air setting on the villa lawns.

We'd stayed here before (about 18 months ago) so when our booking at another place proved to be disappointing there was no hesitation in choosing this much better alternative. We initially booked for 3 nights but extended our stay to a week because we were delighted to be there. A roomy bungalow (recently made available) in a beautiful tropical garden and a delicious Balinese breakfast served daily, what's not to like? Thank you Ayu and Ngurah for your friendly hospitality :-)

Hier gab es auch das beste Frühstück auf unserer gesamten Reise. Freunde würden wir das Homestay auf jeden Fall empfehlen!

This is a late review for our trip back in 10/1/15-10/7/15 with Nguyra / Ayu's family. We took the risk and booked our stay with them based on reviews from another site. It was the best decision ever as it was the HIGHLIGHT of our trip. They were an awesome hosts who made sure we were comfortable and happy and were taken care of. We look forward to each day talking and bonding with both of them. They were there when we needed assistance to local places and with transportation. We could not say enough about their hospitality. Their place was very nicely decorated and had a contemporary feel with great ambience. The "apartment" had a kitchen and a balcony overlooking the compound that had a nice garden. We had the place to ourselves and there was plenty of room for privacy. They were also located near the day/night markets and the local artists markets for wholesale arts/crafts. These are recommended. We walk from their place to these attractions, but take a taxi if you don't care for the walk as it can be long for some. We also enjoy the street vendors along the main street. We truly enjoy this place as it is not a touristy place but a place where you can see more of local life if that is your thing. We recommend staying here if you are looking for non-touristy area as Ngurah and family made our trip the highlight of our vacation. There's more to tell, but that would be too lengthy for this review.

Ngurah and Ayu were the most wonderful hosts, we loved meeting them and their two children. We felt so welcome from the moment we arrived and learnt so much about their culture through talking with them. Ngurah also very kindly waited at the airport for three hours to pick up our friend when his flight got delayed by the ash cloud. Irene and I greatly enjoyed the week we stayed in Ayu and Ngurah's guest house. The long chats over breakfast were a highlight of our stay and their hospitality was second to none. The guest rooms are clean and comfortable. Their recommendations of places to visit for sightseeing and dining were spot on and much appreciated. We look forward to staying with them the next time we're in Denpasar.

This was a perfect place to stay for our first night in Bali. Hosts were so helpful and gave us the most helpful hookups and ideas for the planning of the rest of our trip! Awesome value! Loved every second of the stay!

Menginap di Canang Sari Hotel sangat menyenangkan. Harga yang ditawarkan tidak mahal dibanding fasilitas yang ditawarkan. Saya menginap hampir 1 minggu dengan 4 dewasa dan 2 anak usia 5 dan 4 tahun, dan kami sangat senang. Seluruh ruangan dan peralatan bersih dan terawat dengan baik. Bapak Ngurah dan Ibu Ayu sangat komunikatif dan banyak memberikan informasi mengenai objek wisata di Bali. Salah satu anak bu Ayu bernama Erick sangat menyenangkan, anak saya dapat bermain bersama Erick dan dia sangat senang. Meskipun tidak mewah tetapi penginapan ini mengakomodir semua kebutuhan kami sekeluarga, termasuk memberikan sarapan dan air mineral setiap hari tanpa biaya tambahan. Penginapan ini sangat recommended.

My son and I flew to Denpasar to have dental work done, we wanted to stay somewhere close to the dentist and we wanted to experience staying with a balinease family. Canang Sari is not in a tourist area, its in the back streets of Denpasar, The host family will make you feel so welcome, they are the most amazing people. We stayed for 10 days, which gave us plenty of time to see the sights and relax as well. Ngurah was our guide, he would take us out on tours, he has so much knowledge, Ayu is just the perfect hostess, she makes your breakfast each morning and dinner if you want to dine with the family anytime. The beds are great, everything is so clean. Amazing value. This host family will be our friends for life. We will be back at Canang Sari soon.

Ngurah and Ayu are great hosts! They are kind, helpfull and very easy to talk with. The place is not a far from the center of Denpasar and has a beautiful garden. The breakfast we had was delicious. Definitely a great place to stay in Denpasar and to start your (first) trip in Bali.
