A fuir de toute urgence !!
Nous avons réservé par mail en nous assurant à plusieurs reprises que la réservation a bien effectué
Le jour J nous nous sommes rendus sur place mais personne n’était au courant de la réservation ni la personne sur place ni la personne au téléphone
On nous envoie un mail plus de 30 minutes plus tard pour nous dire d’attendre encore 20 minutes le temps que la chambre soit prête soit plus d’une heure de délai à attendre pour rien
Heureusement nous avons fui cet endroit à 160 $ la nuit et même pas une personne pour vous accueillir c’est honteux !!

Lovely Resort
Lovely resort tucked away from the busy city limits of Galle, yet easily accessible. Located within a lush green tea estate, it has a number of chalets that are built distance apart from each other to ensure absolute privacy and to avoid disturbances. All chalets are equipped with superior facilities including air conditioning, hot water, comfortable beds and lockable cupboards. Food is absolutely delicious and they are well versed with Sri Lankan cuisine. However guests are also able to order basic Chinese cuisine such fried rice, deviled dishes, etc. Staff is friendly and efficient. Truly a unique and a worthy experience.

Beautiful place, excellent and humane host - will definitely go again
After a lot of research, we decided to book The Countryhouse Chalets. It seemed a bit expensive but beautiful. After speaking with the host Nipuna- we were reassured of the best service and rooms and rates and we were on. When we reached at night - 4am - Nipuna was there smiling and welcoming us. The place is in the midst of tea plantation and forested area and seems out of this world. We later got to know that the rooms were designed by him and his mother. Each room was different and had paintings done by him. Though a small set-up, all things were available on demand and we were served with a smile.
From the second day on hell broke loose for us. One of our traveling partners fell sick and had to be hospitalized and that is when we saw the real Sri Lankan hospitality. Nipuna not only helped us but stayed with us, together with his friend till 12 am, speaking to doctors. He felt like family. Imagine, stuck where you know no one and being told you have to get someone operated, far from home. But he wouldn't leave us on our own. Even the staff kept the food ready no matter how late we came and packed for us to take to the hospital.
Even the doctors and nurse were so helpful, they even refunded our money when not needed!
All in all, despite a challenging trip, I want to go back. The place is beautiful, Sri Lanka is amazing and Chalets, are a must visit.

Amazing place and an awesome host
We visited country house chalet to celebrate my sister's wedding anniversary. The place is phenomenal. You stay amidst your own tea gardens, overlooking a pool. Every chalet has a unique design. We stayed in ones with big glass window facades. The breakfast area is beautifully done. An extremely tranquil and tasteful place. The staff is friendly and would sort your tuk tuk travel in a jiffy.
But without fail the best part was Nipuna, the host himself. He drew a map and created an itinerary for us highlighting the key places to visit. But our most respected experience about him was the way he came to help us. My sister during our second day of the trip was diagnosed with acute apendicitis and was asked to get immediately operated. A foreign land and an operation got us completely offguard. The moment Nipuna heard this he came rushing to the hospital. He stayed with us till late in the night even beyond midnight sorting out our reports.
He then shared the reports with 3 other doctors so that we could get the best advice from them. He helped us take the step of identifying the best doctor for the job and was there throughout. Three cheers for Nipuna. Couldn't and haven't got a better host ever.

Thoughtfully Designed and Exceptional Sri Lankan Hospitality
Tastefully furnished and very creatively designed space, The Country House provided us the perfect weekend getaway so close to the city of Galle. The hospitality we received was on point, and carried a unique Sri Lankan charm throughout our stay. Nipuna (the owner) was exceptionally attentive to our needs and went above and beyond to ensure our holiday was comfortable. The most beautiful aspect of this space is the lush tea plantation that circles around all chalets making it a most visually stunning sight (specially in the morning). A definite must visit and cannot wait to be back at the Country House soon!!

Great stay
The team made our stay thoroughly enjoyable ! Accommmodation was spacious and clean , bathroom was large and Our view over tea plants to the pool was lovely.
The team make a great breakfast and wether you need more hot water for a shower or a Tuktuk to town they respond quickly and happily .. highly recommend

Geweldig!
Wat een mooie serene plek is dit! Midden in de natuur, uit de drukte van Galle maar toch dichtbij genoeg om het fort te bezoeken. Wakker worden met springende apen in de bomen en vanuit het zwembad ben je omringt door theevelden. Heerlijk ontbijt en Nipuna en zijn staff zijn erg vriendelijk!

The place was great with it’s charm & relaxing environment. And absolutely same as shown in pictures. The chalet gave us a home like feeling. Simple interior. Poolside is so amazing in the dawn. Mornings are so refreshing with the tea plantation all over there.
Nipuna & his team very supportive and friendly. Hospitality is superb and much more helpful with sudden plans and flexible with our requests all the time.
It’s really a wonderful & memorable stay.

Juste magique !
Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits dans cet hotel. Toute l'équipe était à notre disposition ils ont été super ! Nous étions vraiment triste de partir. Au delà de l'accueil chaleureux le lieu est magnifique de beaux chalets.. une belle piscine en plein milieu de la jungle ! Merci à vous pour avoir fait de notre séjour à GALLE un moment merveilleux !

Something a bit different for wildlife lovers in the city
Loved this place. If you want something a bit different from the usual hotel rooms, then I'd highly recommend these chalets. Surrounded by jungle and tea plants, it offers a glimpse into the wonderful natural environment of this beautiful country. Monkeys, fireflies, lizards, birds and so much more. Even birds nesting in the lampshade over the dining tables (you won't find one of those in IKEA).
Very friendly and helpful staff who will organize tours, taxis, pizzas and anything else you need. A bit out of town and hard to find even for locals but equally you feel you are away from the more touristy elements and in the real Galle.
Chalets are confortable, good aircon, wifi and spacious. Some toiletries would be nice maybe for somewhere in this price range? Excellent bathrooms, where else can you shower while watching monkeys in trees outside (quite a shock for both of us I'd imagine).
Lighting at entrance to property could be improved, very dark at night but all in all, this is a wonderful place to stay. Thank you to Nipuna, Raja, Migara and Nadeesh.
