Visited in August 2022 from the start the owners communication was great, answered any questions we might have. Very accommodating with check in times due to flight changes. Towels, swimming towels,bedding tea towels etc all provided. Had absolutely no issues, Colin that manages the villa was extremely helpful and even became friendly with the villas gardeners although conversation was a bit of a struggle due to language barriers but enjoyed a chat over a beer. Pool was lovely and the weather was around 30-35 most days. Extremely friendly village and the local shop owners were a pleasure trying to learn English during our visits to the shop. Not much to do in the village but lots of things and supermarkets nearby. Plenty of room and we really enjoyed family bbqs in the sun and swimming. Would absolutely stay here again if we was looking to return to that side of Bulgaria.

So pleased we managed to find Villa Gurkova after our original stay was cancelled due to the owner selling our villa after Covid ! It has taken us three years to get to Bulgaria and we are so glad we made it x Lynda was fantastic to communicate with from the get-go. Colin picked us up from the airport and was very friendly and knowledgeable to chat to about the area. We arrived very late at night so didn't see much until the following morning but were very happy. The car hire was particularly useful as with two older children we like to explore. You can arrange this with Lynda for a hassle-free,service !! Any problems were dealt with promptly and we loved meeting the Bulgarian couple who Iive in the village and maintain the garden. The pool was welcome to cool down from the heat. We also visited the water park at Albena and several beaches before we found our favourite, Nirvana Beach to the left of Golden Sands.

Very cozy villa, with nice pool for lazy mornings and barbeque parties. Easy to reach, close to Balchik.

Jolie maison à la campagne, mais proche de la ville et des plages. Les personnes de contacts sont très accueillantes et attentives à nos besoins. Très grand jardin, grandes terrasses couvertes et très belle piscine avec pataugeoire. Idéal pour famille avec enfants. Seul (petit) inconvénient : la cuisine est un peu trop petite, mais bien équipée (plaque vitro, four, micro-ondes, frigo et lave-vaisselle).

We went back and it was fantastic again. There was even a large smart TV and the kitchen and shower were modernized, which was not necessary 3 years ago. The swimming pool was fantastic, we had 28 degrees for 16 days . We are a family of 7 people and fell in love with the house and balchik. One evening the light was out due to thunderstorms and we were called by Sami that it would be fixed within a few hours. Sami is the contact person there he's always there for you . I know now in a couple years we go back again . @ Lyndah thanks for everything we really enjoyed the house

I’d like to thank Lynda for a fantastic holiday. Every email and txt message was replied to straight away. When we were away Sami couldn’t do enough for you. He was there whenever you needed anything.... even advice on which restaurant and he also booked the table for us!!. Also Colin was great to.... rescued us with teabags!. The villa is in a peaceful traditional village, totally private and relaxing with an amazing pool. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Bulgaria was also lovely. Balchik was lovely and although we don’t do busy we had a great day out in Albena to. Thank you very very much.

We have had a really good holiday at villa Gurkovo. The villa has plenty of space both inside and out. The pool and surrounding area are great. My grandchildren really enjoyed the pool and by the end of the holiday could swim confidently. Having the small section of pool was great as the main pool is deep the full length. The renovations have made the villa very comfortable. Gurkovo is a quiet village and the local people very friendly. There are 2 shops in the village for basic supplies and Lidl on the outskirts of Balchik. Hiring the car was a bonus as it seats 7 and is very economical. We found some lovely beaches close by and went to the water park in Albena, a thirty minute drive away. Sami was very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this villa.

The villa was absolutely perfect for us. We are a family of 6 including 4 little children. The rooms were large and the villa had a lovely lounge. The pool was fantastic, it had a small baby pool next to the large pool with shallow water so even the baby could play. We rented the car from the villa which was great - I have no idea how we would have got around without it! The village is lovely and relaxing. There's a beach nearby in Balchik and a holiday resort, Albena, which was fabulous for kids. We had an absolutely incredible holiday and would highly recommend the villa. One point to note, the locals don't drink the tap water so make sure you're equipped with bottled water. Don't hesitate book.

Great base for exploring the Back Sea coast. Quiet and comfortable. It suited us well, I only hesitate to give five stars as it needs some new furniture and updating in areas like the kitchen. That said, we were very happy, small problems were dealt with efficiently by Sami. So thank you for a lovely stay on our first visit to Bulgaria.

The villa with pool was a good choice for us. Quiet, spacy, not too far from the beaches in the area and a wonderful pool for our children. Contact to the owners was great: Clarifying an issue about only part of the house being cleaned initially (partially because we had accidentally entered the wrong number of persons) went smoothly and in the end everything was cleaned and we even got a reduction.
