Croatian villa in Cevtat
Excellent villa, 3 x 3 bedroom apartments, great air con, 3 kitchens and 3 living rooms , good pool, stiff walk up the hill from Cevtat , but an Uber about £3.50 from the town, would recommend

Perfect for a big group
We rented this villa for a group of friends attending a wedding in Cavtat, 18 in total and it was perfect for us. The apartments are very modern and clean, they are also cleaned everyday. The pool is a perfect size, you won't be doing laps but for lazing around by, it's perfect. Bozo the housekeeper is very helpful and pops up now and then to check in. There are some beautiful views of the bay also. It is up a steep hill but it's fine, we generally walked into town and got a taxi back in the evenings which was only about 8euro. Only downside is that there is a bit of building going on in this area and so if that bothers you, prob best to check with the owner in advance, there was some going on when we were there but it didn't bother us.
We had a great stay and I would recommend the villa no problem!

Flott i Cavtat!
Vi var fire familier som reiste på ferie til Kroatia. Totalt var vi 8 voksne og 9 barn. For oss var villaen i Cavtat helt ideel og vi hadde det utrolig kjekt. Selv om to familier måtte dele en leilighet var ikke det noe vanskelig da huset var romslig og veldig mange bad og toalett i hver leilighet. Huset var av god standard og rent og pent. Avstanden ned til sentrum var til å leve med, men med barn og gjerne noe matvarer tok vi ofte taxi. Taxi kostet ca 50kr. Det var også en liten restaurant og matvarebutikk i relativt kort avstand. ca 800 meter gange.

Lovely property with beautfiul views - recommend a car as good 20 minute walk back up steep hill!
3 families stayed for one week in this property which was ideal and Bozo looked after us well if not a little pushy with trips etc, but nothing was ever a problem and he would sort most things out for you if you wanted him to. We all had teenage children and older and they had a lovely time, even though they were a bit disappointed the bars all closed at 2pm! However the parents were not! We did not hire a car (as only here for week) but in hindsight should have shared one between all of us to do the shopping as the walk to little supermarket at the bottom of the hill was fine going down,taking about 5 minutes, and then a further 10 mins to the town of Cavtat, all down hill so making it a very hard walk back up, in the heat with shopping! the apartments were very clean and spacious but not very well supplied with utensils - bowls, cups, glasses - fortunately as we were with friends in the other apartments we could all share. The main criticism we had was that there was no shade at all around the property- no umbrellas around the pool, the BBQ pergola had a broken covering and there was no shade provided on the balconies. This made it impossible to sit out during the day and have lunch/drinks as it was just too hot and the apartments were south facing so the sun was there from 11am in the morning till the end of day. Bozo appreciated this but was unable to do anything about it as it wasn't his villa and suggested we take it up with owners. We visited Dubrovnik, 20 mins away, well worth a a visit but would suggest going later in the day if travelling in August. Would also say there are no decent beaches around this area - the water is beautifully clear but you have to get used to sitting on rocks - or paying out for sun beds on the edges of the water. There was one beach about a 10 mins walk around the bay but the sea was very murky so we didn't go back again. All in all a beautiful part of the world, the people were lovely and friendly, the booze was cheap and the restaurants fairly priced. The town of Cavtat is really pretty, and watching the sun set every evening whilst having a drink in one of the many seafront bars, was just wonderful. Would deifintely go back to Croatia but as it is such a large country, would probably choose another area.

Ref utensils.. As a holiday villa (and not a hotel) we have a fairly good amount of utensils required for meals for the designated number of people(20) and we top up each year at the beginning of the season.... We encourage guests to use the dishwasher after meals to ensure there's always adequate utensils

Spacious house in a quiet location with exceptional views out to sea.
The house is 20 minutes walk from Cavtat via steep hill. It is located in a quiet road with a stunning view over the bay and islands over to Dubrovnik. Cavtat airport is 15 minutes drive and Dubrovnik 30 minutes, although it is best to catch a 45 minute boat trip from Cavtat harbour.
Cavtat is a jewell of a town with a relaxing atmosphere and lot's of restaurants and ideal for a stroll along the quayside and beyond. We were a group of 9 x 50 year old gents who stayed for a long week-end and spent a day in Dubrovnik, another walking and swimming round Cavtat and a further Kayaking around one of the islands.
The house is split into 3 different living quarters, all of equal size and facilities. Therefore, there is 3 kitchens, 9 double/twin bedrooms and I lost count of the amount of bathrooms. The house is spotlessly clean inside and out and a maid tidies up once a day, although we are an organised bunch and there was not much for her to clean.
There is 3 balcony's - one per ''apartment' - where you can chill and watch the cruise ships go by in the distance. Outside there is a Swimming pool, which could with being a little bit longer to get a meaningful swim but is ideal for lazing in while you take in the view. There is also a large outside table with a Bar-B-q, which we enjoyed sitting at in the evening as this is a natural place to congregate, however, because of the position of the house, voices carry and one of the neighbours took exception to this.
The house is ideal for families and large groups of friends. The kitchen facilities are excellent with all utensils, although an inventory top up is required of mugs and wine glasses. There is a local small supermarket at the bottom of the road, but we used a larger one 10 to 15 minutes drive away towards Dubrovnik.
There is a housekeeper called Bozo - no kidding - who greets you and takes a 1000 euro breakages deposit. He will also give you all sorts of advice, but take care as Croatia is a connected place and he will book restaurants, trips etc on your behalf and can be slightly pushy. Bozo did book us an excellent restaurant in Cavtat for the first night after that we had everything worked out and became self sufficient for tours and where to eat.
You will need a car. We had one vehicle amongst 9 of us which we used for Airport shuttle and Supermarket trips, but walked back and forth to Cavtat.
In summary, an excellent house that feels nearly new with good facilities that enables you to chill out and do things in your own time. We were really grateful for an excellent stay and will one day come back.
