We had the most fantastic week at Villa Nona in Apartment 2. It was emotional to arrive back to this gorgeous property with the most wonderfully kind and hospitable owners Marie Pierre and Marko. …our first trip since the pandemic. This property is spotlessly clean and well equipped. Great space and flow to the apartment and a fabulous wide balcony to sit out for breakfast and for a drink in the evening and enjoy the gorgeous views by day and at night with the lights of the surrounding villages. It is a short walk down a hill to the pretty waterfront village of Cavtat and views across to Dubrovnik. We prefer to stay here in Cavtat as it’s away from busy Dubrovnik but also close enough to visit anytime. So much to see and do in Cavtat itself. We did an evening sunset kayak trip and ferry across to Dubrovnik. Most of the time we relaxed and walked to one of the coves to lie in the sun and swim, and eat out in a great choice of restaurants … our favourite being Bugenvila. We could not recommend this property and apartment 2 at Villa Nona highly enough. We also stayed at apartment 1 on a previous visit which is also absolutely gorgeous. Thank you Marie Pierre, Marko and also the lovely Ljube, who lives onsite and always there to help with a big smile. 😀⭐️

Beyond Fabulous
Our stay at Villa Nona was simply fabulous. The apartment was perfectly appointed with taste and flavor. The seaview was spectacular and the garden and terrace was our favorite place to be. The sea and swimming were a quick 5 minute walk to the sensational town of Cavtat. The bed was super comfy and Ioved the 2 bathrooms. Can't recommend high enough.

Recommended Apartment
Family (two late-middle-aged parents, girl 17, boy 19) wanting an easy 10 day break and were very happy with this apartment.
Great location just above Cavtat, away from any noise but a short (quite steep) walk from the main harbour bay. Cavtat suited us very well with lots of places to eat and drink on both bays either side of the headland, plus boat trips, swimming etc. available. There will be more detailed reviews elsewhere.
As mentioned, the apartment was generally quiet, despite another apartment above and below. There is a nice balcony with room to sit four plus space and a rack to dry towels and clothes. The view was lovely although a bit obstructed by a tree in the pretty back garden.
The apartment was clean and spacious and there is a very nice on-site housekeeper (speaks little English but no problem) who emptied the bin from time-to-time but who pretty much left us alone except for a greeting when we saw her.
Beds were in sets of two side-by-side, one in a separate room, one as part of the larger living space. Both had good en-suite shower rooms with basin and toilet and lots of hot water (remember to turn on the hot water at the light switch). There was lots of cupboard and wardrobe space.
The main living area comprised an open-plan kitchen/dining area with dining table and chairs and a spacious living area with sofa, armchairs, table and a TV. The TV channels are limited, although we hardly watched it, but might annoy a big TV watcher. The living area has two good air conditioning units although the bedroom doesn't - we didn't keep it on at night and it was hot but not uncomfortable as a rule.
The kitchen facilities were fine with a large fridge, hob, work surfaces etc. and the usual selection of pans and utensils. There are two supermarkets nearby at the bottom of the hill with a reasonable selection although food isn't cheap, either for home food or eating out. By contrast, Croatian wine is cheap and good in the supermarket.
The owner answered e-mails quickly and accurately in a friendly and welcoming manner.
Very little negative to say at all, perhaps a few bigger glasses and better/bigger rubbish bins in the kitchen, but we would certainly go back there and recommend the apartment to others, especially at the price.

Nice location
We enjoyed our stay at Villa Nona. There is a nice veranda and everything (harbour, beaches, caffeshop, restaurant, shop) is a short walk down. Villa Nona is easy to be reached from the airport too.

Lovely situation above the bay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Nona, apartment 2........very spacious with a lovely veranda and a short walk down to the shops and the harbour. However, it is a fairly steep climb back up again so not suitable for the less mobile. Also, the veranda gets no sun and the garden gets very little sun (at least not in September) so at times it felt quite dark. This was not helped by the large tree which not only blocks out the light but hides what would be a lovely view over the bay and the harbour. For this reason I could not recommend apartment 2 to a friend, but perhaps this would not be such an issue in high summer.
Cavtat is a beautiful town with many excellent restaurants and lovely walks round the peninsulas on both sides of the bay. It is also well situated for visiting Dubrovnik by ferry (100 Kuna return).

Superbe appartement a deux pas du port de Cavtat
Bel appartement a deux pas du port convivial et animé de Cavtat et à proximité immédiate de l'Aéroport de Dubrovnik. Appartement très propre et belle terrasse très agréable donnant sur un joli jardin bien entretenu et une jolie vue partielle sur la baie. Commerces, bars et restaurants sont à deux pas. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir.

Appartement très agréable, confortable, clair et spatieux
Appartement idéal pour les familles. Nous étions 10 et avions loué les appartements 2 et 3. Le grand balcon de l'appartement 2 nous a permis de prendre nos repas tous ensemble en regardant la mer et le 3 de profiter du joli jardin. Il est très facile de descendre au petit port qui est à 5 mn à pied, soit pour se baigner dans les nombreuses criques alentours, soit pour aller en bateau vers une des nombreuses iles toutes proches, soit pour sortir le soir où les rues sont très animées. Accueil très chaleureux des propriétaires.

Appartement calme et spacieux avec vue sur mer
J'ai passé un superbe séjour à la villa Nona! L'appartement est propre, spacieux, à 5 min à pied du centre de Cavtat et de ses plages. Le vrai plus: le balcon ombragé avec vue sur mer permettant de prendre les repas dehors!

Great position
The apartment is ideally located in cavtat, just far enough out of the harbour to avoid noise and to catch a breeze. It is very spacious and very clean. Air conditioning essential in July (would have been nice to have it in bedroom too..). The balcony is lovely, although stunning views are frustrated by large cherry tree!
We were a family of 3 with a teenage boy and found plenty to do in cavtat for a week - especially gawping at all the super yachts coming and going! Will definately return - hoping cherry tree is pruned or taking apartment above!

Paradise in Cavtat
I stayed in this beautiful apartment with my Mother for a little under a week and am still dreaming about being back there. The house the apartment is in is incredibly beautiful, well maintained and in a spectacular neighborhood. The house is located mere steps (up a small hill) from the vibrant and beautiful downtown of Cavtat. You have a bakery, incredible restaurants, markets, shops and access to the water at your finger tips. In my opinion the house is located in the absolute best part of the village - close enough to all the action while just enough removed to offer peace and tranquility.
The apartment itself is spectacularly appointed, comfortable and incredibly clean. The rooms are all beautifully furnished with all the necessary items. While it was just me and my Mother traveling this apartment is certainly large enough for a bigger group to all spread out and have plenty of room. The kitchen and bathrooms are impeccably maintained and clean and the balcony is an absolute dream. I often find myself in NYC dreaming of being back on the beautiful balcony overlooking the Cavtat harbor and the beautiful croatian countryside.
I am frequent user of Air B&B in the USA and have found this to be my amongst my most enjoyable and professional experiences. I very much look forward to returning again in the near future.
