Apartment 1 was very spacious and spotlessly clean with the most fabulous views of Cavtat. The large balcony meant it was the perfect place to see the sun set over the village. The apartment has a large spacious living room, a dining room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms as well as a sofa bed and 2 bathrooms (as well as a separate toilet) so no need to queue for the bathroom on an evening. We did eat in one evening and found the kitchen sufficiently equipped to cope with cooking for our party of 4. The apartment is a short walk uphill (most properties are) from the village and ideally placed for the outstanding views of the village and harbour. Boat trips to Dubrovnik and surrounding islands are available at the harbour and the apartment is only 10/15 minute taxi ride from the airport. My husband tried out the scuba diving which was also available at the harbour. The owner wasn't on hand but always replied promptly to any emails and it was nice to be left to our own devices. All in all we had a fantastic time and would love to return to Cavtat and this apartment.

Lovely spacious apartment, very clean, comfy beds, as others say amazing views. Balcony gets the sun late afternoon. Would have given 5 stars but shower needs updating. Good spot , not far to walk to anything really, a bit of a climb back up from the seafront, but it is quite hilly all round, which gives the lovely views. One of our party was unwell, the owners son was very helpful, putting our minds at rest. He is a Doctor at the local hospital, so that was handy , thank you to him. When we left the housekeeper kindly looked after our cases until we were due to get the taxi late afternoon, Thanks again

This apartment (apartment 1) was absolutely perfect for us, large, bright with the most beautiful balcony. I think I spent the majority of the holiday just taking in the view. The balcony doesn't get direct sun but it's brilliant and you get to see the most amazing sunsets. Apartment 3 on the ground floor has a huge sunny garden but not the views. Facilities and wifi excellent. Cavtat is a lovely resort with a range of tourists not just English. The apartment is 5 mins walk down to all the restaurants (it is quite a steep hill but manageable) the location is the best. I wouldn't go any further out. We used the Croatia hotel beds down by the harbour and on the rocks around the side of the hotel (we were never asked but they may wise up!!!) However there are plenty of beds around the waters edge for hire. We caught the local bus into Dubrovnik a few times (25kuna approx 30 mins and regular) or caught the local ferry (60 kuna one way 100 return approx 40 mins) I loved Dubrovnik but very busy in August. Def walk the walls. We also did a morning kayaking around Lupud island , great fun. We also went up the cable car and did the buggy safari which our teenage boys loved. Fantastic views. We booked a day trip to Montenegro (Kotor and Budva) which was lovely but unfortunately had a 2 and half hour wait at the border crossing returning home which was a real pain and had we know probably wouldn't have done. Cavtat is a lovely resort with good quality restaurants and good food. The airport is 15 mins away just get a taxi 150 kuna so much cheaper than any online transfer companies.

Fabulous stay at Villa Nona, Apartment 1. We arrived later than expected due to our ferry being delayed but the delightful housekeeper was very welcoming and showed us around the huge apartment. Myself, my husband and 2 boys - 21 and 15 really appreciated the space afforded by Villa Nona- after sharing a bathroom during our previous stays it was lovely to have the luxury of 2 bathrooms plus an additional toilet! The apartment is spotlessly clean with everything you could want. The addition of a washing machine was most welcome for washing beach towels etc ( however there is no washing powder or washing up liquid so you need to bring this with you or buy some in Cavtat ) The view from the balcony is magnificent at all times of the day and the sunsets sublime. The terrace is huge and ideal to sit and eat, play cards or just watch the beautiful yachts coming and going. At night you can see the lights of Dubrovnik twinkling in the distance. As others have said, the walk back up the hill from cavtat town to Villa Nona would certainly be a challenge for those with mobility issues but if you a lucky enough to be fit and able then the hill is no more than a slight inconvenience. There is an an ice cream parlour at the bottom of the steps selling the most delicious ice cream at a very reasonable 8 kuna. There is also a bakery at the bottom of the hill, ideal for breakfast items or a morning coffee. Initially we spent our days moving from various rocks in various settings around the bay however ultimately, we found this to be a little uncomfortable and decided to take sunbeds under the shade at the far side of the marina ( can't remember the name of it but there is a bar here and fish foot spa! ) the beds were 40 kuna each per day. We went on a day trip to Dubrovnik by water taxi approximately 80 kuna per person, Great trip but very hot and very busy city. A website exists that shows the timetable of the cruise ships which you can use to discover the quieter days and plan your visit accordingly. We also took a ' fish picnic' boat trip which we found to be excellent value / we booked with Michael who sells tickets for various excursions from a stand just along from the Hotel Cavtat, Michael and his wife will try to beat a price that you may find elsewhere. Generally we found the restaurants in Cavtat to be quite expensive but then I guess you are paying for the setting along the waterfront which is beautiful In summary we very much enjoyed our time in Cavtat but Villa Nona made it extra special. So glad we found this amazing apartment. If you book to stay here you won't be disappointed and if you have any questions just ask the owner, Marko who is super quick at replying to any messages you send. We were made to feel very welcome and the housekeeper stood in the boiling heat with us whilst we sorted out a taxi to the airport and would not leave us until she had waved us off - thank you for your kindness.

By far the nicest apartment I have stayed in since visiting Croatia. The apartment is really, really spacious and the owner has thought of everything the guest might need from a washing machine, updated bathrooms to well equipped kitchen with dishwasher. Giant living room and dining room. In fact all the rooms are large and comfortable with nice large windows with shutters and plenty of natural light. All tile floors except wood in the bedrooms. Tasteful and comfortable furniture. Everything is very clean and in working order. Then there is the large, private terrace with stunning views and nice outside furniture including two super comfy loungers and big dining table. Also plenty of places to hang wet clothes. A large family would be very comfortable and happy here. The photos don't do it justice. Cavtat's restaurants and harbor for swimming are minutes away down the hill. We loved the convenience of being close to town but just far enough away to be peaceful. One note: If a member of your party has mobility issues, the steep short hill may be a challenge. But for able-bodied guests it will help you walk off dinner at the amazing Restaurant Leut, (highly recommended) or Bouganvilea, (also a must experience) The beautiful view the apartment affords makes the walk totally worth it. If you need space, more than one bathroom and want a place that is modern/well maintained with no eyesores, this place is for you. If like us you are lucky enough to be in Cavtat on the first weekend in September, don't miss the amazing free concerts of traditional music (Klapa) held at the pink palace at the harbor. Get there early to get a chair!

We arrived at Villa Nona apartment no.1 on a Sunday afternoon and were greeted by the lovely Madame Lyoubé, who is always at hand to help with anything, and later by Marko and his family who own the apartment. Can I say that even though Lyoubé does not have any English, and we did not have Croatian... it didn't seem to matter at all. We managed to get along very well and she seemed to just preempt what we needed. Everyone was so kind and warm. We were shown around the apartment which was so big for the four of us. It has lovely high ceilings and is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The pièce de résistance has to be the the big balcony with the most amazing view I have seen! I got up early every morning to just sit in the quite and enjoy the view. I could have sat there all day admiring it! The photographs on their site just can't do it justice. This was our first trip to Croatia and it is such a magnificent country. Cavtat was no exception. It's a little oasis a short distance from Dubrovnik. Beautiful walks around the headland to a few different small rocky beaches. Sun bed rentals and cute quiet beach cafe. There are lovely restaurants in Cavtat and two supermarkets where they stock everything you would need. We spent most evenings of our 5 days going to Dubrovnik. The nicest way to travel is by a small ferry at the marina/ Main Street. This is a 40 minute leisurely trip and takes you right to the gateway of the old town of Dubrovnik. It is a nice cool journey to relax after a day at the beach or some excursion. We took a day trip from Cavtat to Montenegro, this was well worth it as the stops and the scenery along the way are spectacular. The whole coastline of Croatia itself is spectacular. So many things to do. Beautiful islands and national parks. There is always something to do and somewhere new to visit. We travelled with our 21 and 18 year old and there is something for everyone. The apartment is at the top of a very steep hill... A short distance but you definitely will feel a little fitter at the end of the week! Believe me when I say it is worth that climb!! We stayed to enjoy the magnificent sunsets two of the nights. We would have stayed the five but we had to experience other things too. We had the absolute pleasure of spending an impromptu evening with the owners, Marko and Marie Pierre. Their warmth and generosity was wonderful and we felt like old friends before we left at the end of our stay. Thank you most sincerely to Marko and Marie Pierre for giving us a wonderful experience in Cavtat. We would all love to go back...soon I hope! I could not recommend this rental at Villa Nona highly enough. You will not be disappointed.

Perfectly situated on the hill over the Cavtat marina, surrounded by lush Mediterranean greenery, this accommodation gives you everything you need for a comfortable stay and relaxation. A nice clean room with a wonderful sea view and free wi-fi, comfortable beds and perfectly clean linen, spacious bathroom and very hospitable hosts (Ms Maja and Mr Paul) will make you want to get back next summer again :)

Probably the best (and only) panoramic view of the bays at Cavtat. Sunsets to be remembered! The villa is very well situated and closest to the beach and all the restaurants and bars. We enjoyed the quietness and cleanliness of the apartment which is properly equipped and well serviced. Home away from home! Convenient distance from Dubrovnik by car or by boat. Highly recommended.

The view from this appartment really is spectacular! Our stay was comfortable, the place is spacious and well equiped. Most importantly its a short walk from the cavtat riviera. We plan to return! Thank you!
