This large 5-bedroom home near the Mendenhall Glacier can accommodate groups of up to 9 people. An air mattress can be provided to accommodate larger groups. This space is priced for five people to make it affordable and appealing for smaller groups. There is a $30 ($34.20 including tax) nightly charge for each additional person beyond five. The bedrooms consist of a large King room with a private bath, a large queen room, two double rooms, and a twin room. There are two full common bathrooms. The property is two miles from the Mendenhall Glacier and is situated on the bike path. There are also trails leading to the glacier. The bus stop is steps away from the front door, and the house has plenty of parking. It's 6 miles from the Juneau Ferry Terminal, 2.5 miles from the airport (25 min bus ride), 2 miles from the famous Mendenhall Glacier, 4.5 miles from the University of Alaska, and 10.5 miles from Downtown Juneau. It's a nicely remodeled Tudor-style house, conveniently located in the Mendenhall Valley. This home boasts granite countertops and large open spaces. It has two full common bathrooms, a TV room, a living room, a kitchen, dining, and laundry rooms. The house is peaceful and comfortable, where the long-term tenants are friendly, and mostly keep to themselves. Aunt Margaret lived in this house for over 30 years and always had a room for someone who needed one. Kelli has continued to keep this house available for affordable housing for long-term residents and Alaska visitors. Your group will have access to the common areas and the members of your group staying in the house will have two private rooms, including one with a private bathroom. There is a shelf in the refrigerator for each of the rooms and you are welcome to use any of the supplies/equipment in the kitchen and enjoy use of all common areas. The common areas of the house are cleaned twice per month, but not necessarily immediately prior to your stay. It's self check-in so late arrival is not a problem. You'll be given the lock box code a few days prior to your arrival. Check-in is at 4 pm and check-out is at 11 am. We will offer you early check-in and late check-out options if it's available, a couple of days before your arrival/departure for a fee of $50. Host, Kelli, happens to be a co-owner of a large tour company with over 25 tours throughout Alaska and offers a 10% discount on all tours offered by the company to her vacation rental guests. Popular tours offered in Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, and Sitka include whale watching, salmon bakes, river rafting, kayaking, canoe tours, boat tours, hiking, gold panning, private cars, Mendenhall Glacier tours, jeep tours, Alaska RV and Cruise tour packages, and more. If you are interested in this discount, ask Kelli for the details. We will strive to provide the best customer service and improve as we go with feedback from our guests. Before submitting your review, please remember to base it on the following criteria and what was promised to be provided for the price paid as follows: Easy check-in process – You'll be able to self-check in. Kelli will give you check-in details prior to arrival, including a lockbox code. You'll be able to access the rental at your leisure after check-in time, at 4 pm. We offer early check-in options, if it's available a couple of days prior to your arrival for $25-$50, depending on your arrival time. Great Communication – Kelli is known to be responsive to guests before, during, and after their stay. You can expect prompt responses to your questions. Please text for the fastest response. You can also, call her. She'll respond to website messages as soon as she can. Clean Accommodations – Your private apartment should be sparkling clean. Great Mendenhall Valley Location – It's steps from the city bus stop and two miles from the famous Mendenhall Glacier which you can get to by car, or walking on a paved bike path or gravel trail. You can take the bus for one mile and walk the second mile. This is not a downtown Juneau property. Downtown Juneau is substantially more expensive than the Mendenhall Valley, so this location for the price should not be compared to that of downtown. If you want to be downtown and don't want to take a 45-minute bus ride to go 16 miles, then this space is not for you. Everything as represented and more

Myself, my wife, our 11 year old daughter and my mother in law stayed for two nights and it was everything we needed. Being able to walk up the road to see the Mendenhall Glasier was an added benefit. We highly recommend this home.
