Nellie's Farmhouse formally known as Glenmore cottage is a traditional farmhouse dating back to the 1800 century, This property has been in the hospitality sector since the late 1980s and has won numerous awards when hosted by the late Sheila Barry .The Farmhouse is nestled at the foot of the Slieve foy mountain and is just 1 hrs drive from Dublin and Belfast. It boasts wonderful views of Slieve foy mountain and the surrounding area, Its only 10 minutes drive from Carlingford Medieval village, It has a hot tube and residence lounge were the guest can take their own drink. Fabulous find for girls gathering 💕💕

Just perfect …… From start to finish the most relaxed and fun weekend away with friends . Huge thanks to Seán our very kind and pleasant host . Ease of booking , clear instructions for all aspects of our stay , local info on takeaways / taxis /shops etc . Our own pub and jacuzzi for the weekend sets this property way ahead of the rest in the area . So many lovely interesting items from the past everywhere throughout the property - a joy to browse . Thank you so much - had a wonderful time and rebooking a definite . 👍

Girls Weekend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nellies and Sean's hospitality! I work in the hospitality sector in the US, and I can confidently say that no detail was missed at this location. It is an authentic traditional Irish farmhouse, and I highly recommend it. Whether you're a local to Ireland or traveling from abroad, you won't be disappointed!

Perfect weekend getaway

Brilliant weekend. Sean’s farmhouse is a real hidden gem. So much character. Highly recommend for a girls trip or just a chill out weekend. Sean was the perfect host. The bar is a real treat. We’ll definitely be back.

Perfect weekend stay

Excellent weekend away with a group of ladies. Spotlessly clean and overall just a beautiful old cottage with modern perk of a hot tub. Owners were very helpful and informative. We will be back .

Great group stay!

Wow wow wow!!! What a fantastic place for a group trip. From the minute we arrived we were so happy! The host was so kind, leaving us generous treats and giving us the history of the farmhouse. It is truly a unique and fun stay. The bedrooms were so cosy and every little corner revealed stories and treasures. I visited with friends and everyone loved it. We watched the rugby in our own bar and had take away (kindly organised by our host!). The only problem was we didn't want to leave! Highly recommend

Amazing!

This is an amazing place to stay! There is so much space for 8 people. Our whole family stayed there last weekend and there was plenty of space for everyone. It has an amazing pub where you can buy a keg and get lovely pints. The jukebox and disco ball kept the craic going too. The pictures online doesn’t do this place justice. There are so many little nooks and decorations that makes this place so quirky. The hot tub was amazing. It was always lovely and warm. It was enjoyable even on a rainy day as it’s covered. There was lots of little touches that Sean and Elaine done that you wouldn’t even get in a hotel! Sean was always only a text away and text us to make sure we were enjoying are stay. I would highly recommend Nellie’s farmhouse to everyone!

Great place

What a place! It has so many antiques and things like that all around the rooms. The bar is great. There is a huge TV near the bar. The bedrooms are cool. Parking is free. It's a cool place. The jukebox and the lights are a great addition. WiFi here too.

The best air bnb I’ve ever stayed in!!!

Had the most wonderful weekend at Nellies farmhouse. Sean and his wife Elaine were a pleasure to deal with. The property is so charming and decorated beautifully. They have literally thought of everything. The property was spotlessly clean, they had crisps, chocolate and a bottle of Prosecco on arrival. Will definitely be back again and thanks for a wonderful stay!

Brilliant stay

Brilliant stay a beautiful house. Very clean and well kitted out. Will definitely be back again. There is no need to leave the house everything is there to enjoy and make the most of it

A Wonderful Experience

Nellies Farmhouse Cottage is a very clean and stylish place with everything you needed and our hosts Sean & Elaine were fantastic to communicate with. This is the second time we’ve stayed. The whole place has a rustic charm inside and out. The location was great, too. . The rooms are cosy and the beds so comfy we didn’t want to get out of them! We were greeted with a lovely selection of goodies and a bottle of prosecco. We made full use of the hot tube and had tunes playing from the jukebox. We loved our stay the first time and absolutely loved it again the second time! We’ll be back!!
