Situated in the heart of Pollensa old town, Can Williams is a typical Mallorcan townhouse With wooden beams, terracotta tiles, white-washed walls (metres thick), and many charming nooks and crannies, the owners have worked hard to create a comfortable, stylish holiday house in Pollensa. The ground floor is open-plan. It has a good-sized kitchen with a breakfast bar and very cool lighting. It is well equipped, with a dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and two coffee machines! There is a double bedroom with en-suite on the first floor and on the second floor there is a master bedroom, which has a TV and an en-suite with a separate bath and shower. Not to be missed is the pretty roof terrace on the top floor with spectacular views over the town. You can have your evening aperitif up there and as the benches convert into sun loungers, you can also sunbathe up there during the day This townhouse comes highly recommended. It is a perfect holiday property for two couples sharing, or a family of up to 5 as there is also a sofa bed. Vacances peu reposantes
Certes les photos sont avantageuses (merci au grand angle et à l'éclairage artificiel) et la déco au goût du jour. La maison atypique de ville est en réalité très étroite avec de petites pièces sombres. Le ménage est rapidement fait : moutons de poussière sous les lits et dans les coins, tasse de café du précédent locataire toujours dans le micro-ondes... Par ailleurs, la cuisine est très peu équipée en ustensiles. Stationnement à plus de 500m. Sur 3 niveaux, je ne recommande pas cette location aux personnes ayant des problèmes de santé ni aux enfants car beaucoup de marches partout. Quant au bruit, n'en parlons pas, la rue piétonne est très animée de jour comme de nuit : scooter, hurleurs, éboueurs... sans oublier les cloches de l'église situées à quelques mètres seulement et qui sonnent tous les quarts d'heure 24h/24. Impossible de dormir la fenêtre ouverte !

I am sorry you did not find the house clean enough. We gave your feedback to the cleaners. They work very hard and normally guests say it is spotless. I have to say, you left it immaculate. Thank you. Regarding the noise of the bells, really there is nothing anyone can do about this and for most people this is part of the charm of living in a village. The house is not next to a church, the church is at least 400m away. With double glazing and the windows closed, you hear nothing. I understand you chose not to use the air con in August, which is why you could hear the bells and people walking by. The road itself is so narrow that cars can't drive along it, so the noise must have largely been voices or the occasional moded. Part of cheerful Spanish life! Regarding the house not being suitable for children....the house largely attracts couples but the previous owners lived happily in the house with three children under the age of 10. To address your comment about the steps. Our description clearly states that the house is on two three levels, with the gorgeous roof terrace on the top level. Ultimately this was not the house for you. You complained about it Airbnb and they said that your complaints did not merit any refund. We tried to find you somewhere else but everything was fully booked.

The experience of living in this lovely air conditioned town house should not be missed My wife and I will definitely return here. So why? LOCATION - Pollenca is a beautiful and mainly unspoilt town. This characterful town house is located on a narrow street, Carrer del General Bosch where your neighbours are locals and the chimes of the church clock can be clearly heard. On exiting the house if you turn right and walk less than 100 metres you will find a small well stocked supermarket located at the foot of the famous Calvari steps (climbing these is a good morning exercise). If you turn left and walk 100 metres you will find Placa Major with its restaurants. As a treat you could visit Resturante Il Giardino for morning coffee and have a have a cake from their patisserie. Travelling to the front door of this house by either hired car or taxi is problematic due to the narrow streets. A taxi will take you within 50 metres. Car parking in Carrer del General Bosch is not possible. Parking in Pollenca is possible but challenging. ACCOMMODATION - is over 3 floors connected by a spiral staircase of 31 steps which some could find challenging as there is no hand rail. The master bedroom - with a very comfortable bed - and well appointed on suite (bath and separate shower cubicle) are located on the top floor together with a small laundry housing high quality washing machine and tumble dryer. Access to a most restful sun terrace is gained from here. There are two very comfortable sun beds / sofa’s and a table located there as well as a retractable sun screen. We used this area a lot and spent lots of time being enthralled by the wonderful aerobatic displays of the local swifts. The second bedroom and generous on suite and lounge with comfortable sofa and leather chairs and “smart” tv and internet are found on the second floor. The dining room, a small toilet and the kitchen with breakfast bar are all found on the ground floor. The kitchen has an impressive array of equipment - if you need it it’s there including an orange squeezer and coffee machine. The only thing would found missing was a safe.
