Stay in New Smyrna beach at the 'Lazy Pelican' just 2 blocks from the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. Located 2 short blocks from the famous "Flagler Avenue".Only 1 hour to the Orlando Disney, Universal and Sea World attractions. 20 minutes from the attractions in Daytona Beach. Internet, digital cable (249 channels) and nationwide long distance now included. I now accept PayPal and e-check for payments. **”Only one rental tenant(s) allowed per 30 day period”**. New pool to be finished April 2022.

Needs some TLC
Loved this location! We got in at midnight and the owner had forgot that we were coming in early. The beds at all been slept in and un-made, house very dirty. The owner apologized and the cleaning lady came there the next day and did a wonderful job. Beds were super comfy. Kitchen and linen closet are in need of some reorganization. The front patio was very nice to sit out on but the flower pots were full of weeds and they were weeds growing in between the pavers, not nice to look at. The furniture in the bedroom was cheap Sauders, and those are most uncomfortable couches I've ever sat on. There was no pull out bed as advertised, and the back patio is so overgrown it was unusable. The outside shower desperately needed cleaning. The lighting in the kitchen is almost nonexistent except for under the cabinets. For the price I paid I expected a lot nicer.

Just to clarify. Renter came in two nights early but I didn't charge her for the extra nights. The description does not mention a "pull-out" couch but very nice cots are provided to accommodate 6 total people. The heavy rains we have had this summer has made lawn maintenance a challenge. Sorry that the furniture is not "high end" but this is a beach house...not a Manhatten apartment.

Peaceful/relaxing/great location
We found this place to be peaceful, relaxing, and convenient to beach, shopping and eateries. House was equipped with everything we needed and then some. The owner was a pleasure to work with. Highly reccomend, will return if the opportunity presents itself.

Perfect place for traveling with or without pets!
This home made traveling with our two dogs very comfortable and stress free. The home was clean and had everything we needed. The backyard is very large and are dogs loved it. We will definitely rent it again.

I'd Stay There Year-Round If I Could- The Lazy Pelican is That Great!
Location- just a very short walk to the beach, dining, and shopping. Great friendly neighborhood. Size- just right for a family or small group of friends. Amenities galore- This place has everything you'd find if you were staying at a family member's house: WiFi, fully stocked kitchen cabinets, plush linens, phone charging station, plenty of seating (indoors and out), emergency toiletries, and more.
The Lazy Pelican was so clean that I was able to forego my usual wipe-down-everything-before-I-unpack habit. The owner's attention to detail meant that we didn't have to worry about bathroom linen mixups- everyone had a full set of linens in a different color. I would highly recommend the Lazy Pelican to anyone traveling to NSB.

To the Rescue
We had to find a place to stay in a hurry after water damaged our vacation home and Rick was wonderful in helping us. There was plenty of room in this lovely house and it was ready to move in stocking all our wants and needs. We loved sitting on the huge front porch (with Pelican Pete) and the easy walk to both the beach and the town. The outdoor shower in the back was great for rinsing off after the beach. I highly recommend this rental and appreciate Rick's help/

Great Place to be Lazy in NSB
The house is literally a block away from beach access and two blocks from the main beach access road, Flagler ave. in New Smyrna beach, abundant with shops, bars, and a few of the better NSB restaurants. It's in an actual neighborhood so you don't feel like a complete tourist while you are there, unlike an experience you would have at a condo where everyone is vacationing. Great for long and short stays. We stayed for 9 days and had a great time. It has a large backyard and outdoor shower with hot and cold water. The outdoor shower made life much easier coming back from the beach. Had a great stay surfing and skydiving! The value was incredible!

so cute and clean!
We visited the Lazy Pelican for a long weekend June 1st and 2nd and 3rd... it was adorable! We've owned rental property for years and always prided ourselves on having ours clean and well equiped... There is nothing that we needed while staying at this home.. The outdoor shower was awesome as well as the yard for our little chihuahua's! We will be back again...hopefully soon!

Perfect location, clean and well-maintained.
I have had the pleasure of staying 2 times at the Lazy Pelican and would, without hesitation, stay there again. Perfect location. It is approx 3 short blocks from the beautiful sandy beach, and 2 short blocks from the restaurants, boutiques and wine bars. The street is quiet and the Lazy Pelican maintains the quaint, postcard charm of life relaxed. The accommodation is clean and well maintained. Sitting on the porch at night is peaceful and the perfect escape.

Our vacation was wonderfully "lazy" and relaxing.
The Lazy Pelican was perfect for our beach getaway vacation. Having coffee and breakfast on the front porch is a wonderful way to start out the morning. The beach is a short walk away, as well as restaurants and shopping. The house is comfortable, well stocked and clean. We will come back often.
