Our East Orleans cottage has been thoughtfully and lovingly restored, with many unique details. The cottage is bright and airy, and has classic features, including beadboard ceilings, ship lap walls, restored pine floors and classic built-ins.
The open living area has cable TV and wi-fi and is open to the inviting and cheery cottage kitchen, with vintage porcelain sink and stainless steel island and french doors that open onto a roomy screened porch for dining and relaxing.
Each of the three bedrooms has its own distinctive character. The private master suite has a classic bedroom, done entirely with ship lap wallboards, vaulted ceiling, queen brass bed and large ceiling fan. There is a bright and cheerful master bathroom, with privacy wall and soaking tub.

Primary renter must be over 25 years old. Limit of 6 people allowed, including children.
Absolutely no smoking or pets of any kind allowed.
Violation of these rules will result in termination of stay without refund of rental fees paid.
No parties or large gatherings allowed. Maximum 6 guests allowed. Saturday to Saturday rentals in summer season.
Home should be left neat and clean upon departure or additional cleaning fees will be charged.
Written rental agreement required.

Comfortable, clean, and quiet; yet, and easy walk to Nauset Farms.
We enjoyed the lazy morning walks to Nauset Farms grocery for fabulous local coffee and creative breakfasts. The screened porch was a delight to hang out with a glass of wine and relax.
We also liked the location in that we were within easy driving distance to historical places such as lighthouses, Plymouth rock, the Cape Cod National Seashore just to name a few.
One more thing, the owner seemed to anticipate our every need for the cottage lacked for nothing.

What a great house!
This house could not have been better! It was spotless, comfortable and meticulously maintained. The outdoor shower and extra space in the adorable "shed" were the icing on the cake.
Two great (very different) beaches are within a five minute drive and ice cream, restaurants and a small grocery store are a quick walk away.
Jim and Barbara were perfect host who checked in to make sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
It was a great week in Orleans.

Perfection!
This charming and beautifully renovated cottage was beyond expectations. Great quiet location close to restaurants, beaches and shopping. Jim and Barbara made us feel at home and were above and beyond hosts. Highly recommend this property and would definitely like to rent it again.

Fantastic - Will book again
Close to Skaket Beach and Orleans, latter for great food. Beautiful house, and so comfortable. The porch is fantastic as is the outside shower. The location cannot be beat - we have stayed here twice we liked it so much.

Perfect family rental
This rental was the perfect rental for a family! Every small detail was thought of by the owners and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip! Comfortably slept 6 people and the spacious screened porch was perfect for winding down at night. Was within a few minute drive of several beaches. My children loved the outdoor shower which was great for rinsing off the sand after the beach. Would definitely stay here again!

Quintessential Cape Cod Cottage
This is a quintessential cape cod cottage. Bright, breezy and open. The best room in the House is the screened porch. A perfect spot for morning coffee. The house is a short distance from Nauset and Skaket Beaches and local shops and restaurants. We were so happy with our stay we already booked for next summer! You won’t be disappointed with this summer rental.

Wonderful 3 bedroom beach cottage.
We had a terrific stay at the Summer House beach cottage in Orleans. It is just miles from the bay beach(Skaket) and Atlantic beach (Nauset) in a very private location away from hustle and bustle. The 3 bedrooms and screened-in porch, made our family of 5 feel very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with all necessary dishes, frying pans, collander, etc. It is an easy drive to Orleans, with easy access to fine eating and seafood. There is a barbecue for at home eating. The O'Brien's were gracious and helpful hosts, easily accessible for questions. We would highly recommend this cottage to our friends for future Cape vacations.

Charming and comfortable cottage in super location
We feel very lucky to have found this wonderful cottage soon after it was renovated. Was the perfect size and style for our family of four, with just enough space for each of our teenagers to have their own room. The white and airy decor, with thoughtful Cape inspired details, made us feel right at home. The screened porch opening into the kitchen provided a great connection between indoor and outdoor living. Yard was great for family games. And the location, on a quiet street two miles from Nauset Beach and a mile from the Cape Cod Rail Trail and downtown Orleans, was perfect. Was even walking distance to morning coffee at Nauset Farms. Owners were terrific and obviously put much love and care into the renovation. Overall the experience was better than advertised. We hope to return next year.
