Nice spot, great for a small group
Lenox is charming and very walkable. Even has a great yarn store! Five of us spent the weekend there very comfortably. Knit and chatted in the living room — plenty of space and good light. Kitchen very well stocked and easy to use. Bedrooms were very nice. Easy to go for walks. Great old place with character and yet convenient. We didn’t get to any of the trails in that area, but maybe next time.

We loved our stay at the Gartner House
This house is very clean, cozy and well stocked. We had everything we needed and then some. It was so close to everything. Deborah was very accommodating and easy to work with. We loved our weekend in Lenox and will definitely be returning to the Gartner House.

Outstanding Accommodations
The Gartner House in Lenox is a beautifully decorated and comfortable house in Lenox. It is immaculately kept and has everything you need…like being at home! It’s within walking distance of downtown’s shops and restaurants. The lady who owns the house is ultra nice. I’m afraid I don’t want to stay in a motel again!

Close Walk to Town Center
I was doing a small girls trip and we were looking for a house that had some things in walking distance and Deb's house was perfect! She gave great directions ahead of time, was thoughtful about providing some "must do" items around the towns and the house was clean and organized, with everyone laid out perfectly. We appreciated working with such a thoughtful owner and would highly recommend to others!

Fun house close to town
I booked this house mostly for it's location close to in-town Lenox. It proved much more convenient to more than just town. The surrounding area of the Berkshires (Stockbridge, Lee, Great Barrington, etc.) were just a short drive away.
What I liked best about it, though, in all sincerity, was it's casual, lived in atmosphere. The original woodwork and wood floors made it feel like a summer home from my youth. Another thing that brought me back to my youth were the record albums and turntable available for guests' use. Even my children enjoyed rocking out to the classics that were collected over the years.
Some things to improve on: The listing needs to be updated as it listed a grill as being available and there was none. Also, I found the mattresses too firm for my liking. And, the kitchen is an awkward set-up making it difficult to cook efficiently.
My family and I really enjoyed our 4 day, 3 night stay at the Gartner House. Deb was super responsive and flexible and will recommend this place to others.

Wonderful place -- very convenient, cozy, and well appointed.
Our stay at Gartner House was great. It is steps away from the heart of Lennox which has a handful of charming, good restaurants, shops, etc. It is also, clearly, a home and not just an airbnb rental. The house is very pretty and warm with plenty of room and lots of amenities. Also, the place was stocked with things like salt, cooking oil, dishwashing and laundry detergents--kitchen & bathroom essentials--which most rentals don't (at least in my experience). Finally, Deborah, the host, is a wonderful woman. She was so helpful and responsive about everything, and kind. The next time we go to the Berkshires, we will definitely want to stay here again. I really can't say enough good things about our experience here. Book with confidence--you'll be glad you did.

Just steps from picturesque downtown Lenox and an easy drive from Tanglewood, Kripalu, Norman Rockwell Museum, scenic lakes with swimming beaches, and more.
This house has all the amenities for a comfortable stay from a full kitchen to washer and dryer to patio furniture for outdoor dining, to plentiful parking.
I was impressed with our host's generosity, for example providing information when we asked about local recreation opportunities. She was available by phone for any questions we had while there.

Charming and convenient!
Perfect location for walking to all the shops and restaurants in Lenox. The home was comfortable. I'll book again when I'm next in Lenox!

Perfect for time away
We went to the Gartner House for a ladies weekend and it was a perfect weekend. Just a little walk to restaurants and shops in the lovely town of Lennox, short drive to Tanglewood and Stockbridge. The kitchen table, living room and outdoor seating were perfect for us to catch up and plan our days activities. The home itself is warm, comfortable and clean. Both the kitchen and bathroom are very well equipped! Looking forward to returning!

What a Hidden Gem!
Gartner House.....what a great hidden gem! This charming home displays pride in ownership and comfort. For a girls' weekend, it was perfect. Three of us have been friends for years and enjoy sharing new adventures together, traveling from MA, DE and PA, this was an ideal spot.
This location was so convenient within walking distance of Lenox where we enjoyed fabulous dining and shopping, Tanglewoodand Stockbridge. So many unique items to pick from! We would be back in a heartbeat!
