We spent two nights at this lodge. Here are the pros & cons of the place:
Pros:
If you look for peace & quiet in a safe environment in South Africa, you cannot beat this place.
The price is also unbeatable.
The self-catering suite we had was well-equipped, super clean and daily room service was available.
The bed was very comfortable and there was constant hot water and water pressure.
If you got a room closer to the left end, you had a good view too. If not, you had a roof in front of you!
Cons:
We were hoping to do some work in the quiet environment, but Wi-Fi situation was very unsatisfactory. It was available only in the small office, that too when the secretary was there. She left at 3.30p.m. Very disappointing.
There was only a very limited subscription to TV, so it was not conducive to settling down with a good movie in the evening.
Sitting-room was very uncomfortable with a stiff cane sofa, which gave me a backache.
All in all, the place is OK if you want to use it as a base to do sight-seeing around. For us, who come to South Africa very often, the lodge was a bit impractical.
