Scenic bliss.
From the minute we arrived at the Gites we were bowled over by the scenic location and the rustic, yet comfortable Gite. The rooms were of a high standard with original, exposed beams and fully equipped with bathroom and kitchen facilities. The owners were welcoming and very helpful in providing extra info about the local amenities which is already contained within their well-presented and concise website. With the border to Spain only 20 mins away, it was beyond convenient to take a short trip into the small border town of Les to stock up on some near duty-free priced supplies. Although the Ski season had not yet began at the time we stayed, there are slopes a mear 20 mins away. The location of the Gites are ideal for people looking for affordable, spacious accommodation for resting those weary, slope-battered legs. On top of all that, there is a fair sized Super U (a brand of supermarket) 15 mins away, which has everything you could possibly need for a self-catering stay. It is safe to say the we will be frequenting these Gites as often as possible, they are a real gem in a near-perfect location for anyone who enjoys the great outdoors.

Fantastic accommodation, scenery and location
We stayed here for a weekend and had a fantastic time. The village itself is charming and quaint. The scenery is breathtaking and a fantastic location for hillwalking and cycling. The gite itself is full of rustic charm yet all mod cons are available. We will be going back when we can go skiing and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. We can't rate our stay highly enough.

Great Location
Very warm welcome, and superb location for all things outdoor, all year round. The accomodation was good with great Hosts Carol and Rob. Suitable for families with young children.

Absolute satisfaction in all areas.
What a fantastic place to stay. Great people who own the place. Very clean, tidy, modern, peaceful place. Looking forward to my next visit. Loads more to see and do, can't wait.

A Pyrenees Holiday
The gite is found in the foothills of the Pyrenees in a beautiful location close to towns and wonderful mountain drives and walks, We had a lovely welcome from hosts Rob and Carol who shows us to a spacious gite with all the amenities we required for a relaxing weeks holiday.
The village is small but plenty of excellent restaurants close by in Lucon and the surrounding villages.
The mountains are spectacular in the are plenty to see and close to Spain and Andorra for those who want to venture further.

Paradise in the Pyrenees
If you just want to relax or walk, ride your bike (located on the Tour de France route) canoe, white water raft, pop into Spain for lunch, ski during the winter (Rob will even help you with your technique from beginner to expert ) try to empty Dave (the permanently stocked beer fridge.) This is the place. Rob & Carol have worked very hard to build these Gites & luxury is the name of the game. They will make you most welcome and help with any problems. These Gites are the best value in the area & can't recommend them highly enough. Book for winter or summer. You will not be disappointed

A wholly relaxing holiday destination.
Situated in a quiet valley of the Pyrenees Larocca provides the perfect base for exploring the local region. Events and activities are available for every season with Rob and Carol providing expert knowledge of the region. Skiing, cycling, walking, swimming, paragliding or rafting...... Its all covered locally.
Accommodation is immaculately clean and perfectly appointed for a relaxing stay. Helped by attentive, polite and available hosts.

A perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle if life
What can I say, this is by far one of my most favourite places in the world my only regret is that I've not been back in ages.
You arrive as strangers and leave as friends. Carol and Rob are fantastic. The gites are clean, modern, practical and spacious especially the hayloft.
It is about an hour's drive from Pau airport but what a drive with the mountain views all the way to the gites then mountain views surrounding the fires perfect!
We've been in November, September and January and love it every time we go. There's so much no one could say this place is not perfectly situated.
We will definitely be going back!

A welcome like no other!
I stayed at Carol and Rob's whilst working locally to them. The gite was very comfortable and well equipped. However, what made the stay do special was the warm and generous welcome extended to me by the owners! After a hard day's work and feeling tired out, I was treated to supper and one of the most memorable evening's I have ever had! What a lovely family.... and their gites do them great credit.. I just wish that I could have been on holiday ... but I will undoubtedly go back and do just that !!

What a jewel
Top place for seeing the Pyrenees and of course skiing, fantastic accommodation, beautifully restored and presented, comfortable, warm and all facilities available. Lovely location and superb hosts who looked after us very well, we will definitely be back and will also plan a summer visit as the surrounding area is so spectacular. Not sure I should be putting this on TripAdvisor, this is the sort of place you want to keep for yourself, a jewel nestling away in the heart of the Pyrenees.
