A wonderful vacation property nestled in the private community of Point Chautauqua, located on New York's Lake Chautauqua.
Available on a year-round basis, this property caters to swimmers, boaters and fisherman in the summer, to skiers and snow-mobilers in the winter and vacationers all year round, especially during the Fall colors.
In Summer, enjoy all the lake amenities and community tennis courts.
In Winter, use the nearby snowmobile trails, go ice fishing or take the short drive to the ski slopes of Western NY - Holiday Valley and Peek N' Peak.

wonderful lake view
wonderful stay in a great location. house is well maintained, with everything you need. loved the guest book and binder of info from the area- gave lots of great recommendations of things to do. the location was awesome! very quiet neighborhood and playground area just a short walk away. weather didn't cooperate to use the swimming platform or the rowboat, but would have loved to - it all looked amazing! owners were great to work with - very quick and responsive. initial issue was attended to quickly even at a late hour- much appreciated! the beds were very comfortable and plenty of space within. kitchen had everything one could need. the 3 season room in front was a relaxing and peaceful place to have the morning coffee; such a beautiful view. great stay! hope to be back again sometime.

Perfect weekend getaway
Stayed here for the weekend to celebrate my birthday and just have fun with friends and family. It's a perfect location super close to the lake. Quiet little neighborhood with Absolutely gorgeous sunsets. Everyone loved the house and there were plenty of places to sleep. The kitchen had everything we needed with plenty of games to play in the dining room too. Only stayed for a short weekend so enjoyed the beautiful weather outside in the front yard and hung out on the porch most of the weekend. Owner was responsive and emailed back pretty quickly if I had any questions. Would recommend anyone to stay here and would stay again in the future!

Great Location
We were a group of 7 women so we needed lots of beds. This house sleeps up to 9 adults comfortably. One bedroom sleeps 4 with 1 set of bunk beds. The location is in a quaint and quiet neighbourhood right on Lake Chautaqua. It's an easy 18 mile drive around the lake to see all sorts of interesting shops in small villages. Be aware of off season hours at all restaurants and shops. I could easily contact the owner who was always prompt with a reply.
Nice enclosed front porch. Lots of comfortable seating inside.

Very Pleasant
My family and I stayed for a weekend. The house was very comfortable. It was very hot and humid but all the bedrooms had a great fan system and at night, I actually got chilly! Very comfortable sleeping, even in the heat!
The house was clean, comfortable, and had wonderful lake access and good swimming. I would rent here again.

Awesome view of the lake
We had a great time cooking out, celebrating birthdays and watching spectacular views of the lake. We played corn hole in the front yard, played games on the porch and took in the sites.

Chipmunk Hollow
Stayed here as part of a large family gathering. The owners were pleasant to work with, but when we all arrived at the property it was disappointing. The downstairs bathroom tub looks horrendous and I tried to avoid that bathroom altogether. The water pressure in the nicer (but tiny), upstairs bathroom is very weak. The beds were comfortable but even with using the window fans, it was too hot to sleep. The bedroom door to the bright green room did not close properly. Large daddy-long leg spiders were everwhere (may be a part of lake living, I'm not sure) but the real icing on the cake was food being placed in corners by an unknown animal. One morning we spied the uninvited guest - a chipmunk! So I guess out of all the rodents to share the home with, this was the best option. The one couch's back cushions were literally ripping off the back, making seating uncomfortable. A shutter was missing from the front of the house as well. I really think this house has the potential to be charming, it just needs a lot of TLC. It is nicely located to the lake and the owners have a lot of reading material available for the guests (mostly Grisham novels).

Thank you for your comments regarding our house at Point Chautauqua. We appreciate that you let us know through your post that a chipmunk had gotten into the house.
By your comments it seems that our renters were harder on our furniture this season- we'll be making repairs and upgrades very soon.

Wonderful
We have vacationed at this home for several years and have loved the accommodations every time. The home is inviting and cozy which makes it perfect rain or shine. The house overlooks the water and is a short walk to the dock and park. We've spent many mornings watching the sun rise over the lake, afternoons in the yard playing games, and evenings on the front porch. This is truly one of our favorite places.

Relaxing home away from home
I've stayed in this house several times in the past few years, both with friends and family. It had everything I was looking for for a quiet, relaxing getaway. There was plenty of room for all of us in the four bedrooms. The washer and dryer were really convenient. My favorite parts were the short walk down to the water and sitting on the screened-in porch in the evenings. I can't wait to go back!

This is a place for great family memories.
I've loved my multiple stays in this guest home. An entire family comfortably fits in this home that is just a short walk away from the lake. It's more than a typical lake house without being stuffy or so grand that you don't feel like you can really live in it. I have many fond memories of playing games with friends in the dining room, listening to music in the enclosed front porch, and waking up in the morning for a delicious breakfast to start the day. If you are looking for an affordable and comfortable place on the lake to make family memories, you should absolutely consider 6060 Orchard Rd.

A great retreat
Staying here while on vacation (a bit off-season) was a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle of home. The front porch was a great place to relax and play games with friends, the full kitchen allowed us to share great meals, private lake access made kayaking a blast, and proximity to local restaurants and shops as well as the Chataqua Institute made our trip the perfect combination of fun & relaxation!
