Rainforesthouse is an ideal accommodation for people interested in cultural and natural history, both for its location in the wet tropical forest and as a base for exploring the region. We stayed there for a month and were still sighting and hearing new birds and other wildlife the day we left demonstrating the rich diversity of animal life around Rainforesthouse. We saw cockatoos, cat birds, friarbirds, emerald doves and honeyeaters daily. There was also a rich diversity of species in the plant community with representatives from a great range of plant families including some representatives from the Gondawanaland forest.
Rainforesthouse is ideal for people who want to use it as a base to explore Daintree, Cooktown, Georgetown, the coast of the Coral Sea, The Great Barrier Reef and especially the Atherton Tableland on one day or overnight outings.
