Amazing place to spend our 2 weeks of quarantine!
We had to make a trip home from Canada and needed somewhere to quarantine for 2 weeks. My wife came across Duffys and we are so grateful we found it. I can not say enough about how great a place this is to stay. The accommodation consists of a double / twin room downstairs, decent sized bathroom with shower, kitchen / eating area and upstairs is a huge room with en suite with a claw foot bath and nice views over the fields. Also access to a fenced in patio with table and chairs outside. The place was spotlessly clean and he is currently leaving a three day gap between bookings in light of coronavirus.
Where Duffys really wins though is in the access to the farm and woods. We have three little girls who explored fields, persecuted ladybirds and butterflies, ate wild raspberries and cherries and found nettles covered in black spiky caterpillars. They loved the cats and made memories climbing the hay (sorry if they messed it up a bit Ciarán). Ciarán provided fishing nets for the stream, kid's bicycles, a football and was very aware of the fact that we were confined to quarters for the two weeks, not that we had any problems keeping the kids entertained with all the farm had to offer. It is fairly idyllic.
Very easy to get shopping delivered from Ashbourne and takeaways also deliver so we were very easily to safely quarantine for 2 weeks without having to make contact with anyone.
Ciarán was a pleasure to deal with, prompt in replies and flexible.
If you need to quarantine after arriving in Ireland, this really is a great option, easily accessible from the airport but feels like it is in the middle of the countryside.

Exactly what we needed!!
With two small kids, this place was perfect for us. Greeted on arrival by the super friendly Ciarán who immediately set about telling us all the great things to do in the area. The farm is in a great location for exploring both the countryside and getting into Dublin easily (which we did a lot of).
The house itself was tidy and had everything we needed to make it feel like home for the kids (and us). Would happily recommend staying here to anyone who asked.

Had a great time
The Hen House is a great spot to relax after a days sight-seeing. Stayed here with my wife our daughter and her two kids. The place is really family friendly, our grand kids loved it as did we all. Ciaran the owner gives you a good run down on everything when you arrive, after that you never really see him too much, but he is always available if needed which wasn't at all for us. It has everything you need if you want to cook a family meal. All in all top class accommodation in an area which made for a relaxing time after sight-seeing and shopping.

Highly Recommend
We recently stayed in The Henhouse, which was perfect for our family of 4. It was very spacious and immaculately clean and had every amenity you need to make it feel like a home from home. It was very peaceful and quiet in an idyllic farmyard setting. The owner dropped by to make sure we had everything we needed, he was very friendly and accommodating and I would have no hesitation in staying here again. 5*.

Fantastically located, beautiful, quiet and welcoming countryside retreat
I stayed in the cowshed for 4 months over the winter whilst competing a training course at Dublin airport. The property was perfect for my needs, located a short drive from the airport it gave me a peaceful haven to return to and study quietly in. The host Ciaran was excellent, very communicative and approachable, whilst respecting his guests privacy. Ashbourne is a lovely and handy town, just a few minutes away with some excellent restaurants, as well as all the local amenities you could desire. It was a 5 minute drive to the M2 motorway which made getting around to Dublin and the wider area a breeze - and even better the section between the airport and Duffys is not a toll section!
The apartment had all the facilities needed for a stay of any length and decent high speed Internet too. The kitchen even has a dishwasher - certainly not something you expect to find in a holiday rental!
I would thoroughly recommend the property and would definitely consider staying again in future - the only reason I’m not still in residence now is due to the cost of hire cars massively increasing!!

Pleasant, Relaxing, Convenient and Family-friendly
My wife, my three year old daughter and I stayed at here in July 2018 whilst visiting friends and family in Dublin. The 'Cowshed' was perfect. Very clean and spacious with a well equipped kitchen if you need to do some home cooking. The accommodation is located just outside Ashbourne on a working farm so its very quiet and relaxing but with easy and quick (20-30min drive) access to Swords, the airport and Dublin City. Check-in was easy and our host (Ciaran) was very responsive to any queries we had. We will definitely try to stay here again when we visit.

See the real Ireland by staying in Duffys
The location of the property is on a working farm - has wonderful views and makes you feel like you are really on holiday.
It is situated in a perfect position to do the city thing as well as visit the sites of historical merit in the countryside. Ashbourne is just down the road with great pubs and restaurants for a great night out locally.
Although it is a stone building, inside is modern and cosy with plenty of space.
We will return to Duffys next time we are in Oreland

Beautiful apartment and surroundings.
Absolutely loved our stay here. We took our two children who are 7 and 1. The house is located close to all the main attractions such as tayto park and funtasia and is situated in beautiful countryside with the main town only five minutes away. The house was clean, well maintained and had all the essentials needed for our stay. We were greeted with a lovely welcome basket when we arrived from the owners. They were very friendly and helpful any time we needed anything. I would definitely stay again.
