A highly recommended cottage on Skye
This cottage ticks all the boxes.
Comfortable with beautiful views.
Everything you would need is supplied.
Perfect base for touring the island.
Would we return, YES & YES again.

Simply stunning.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week here, the is one I’d the most well appointed cottages we’ve stayed in. The kitchen had everything you could ever need in it and the patio doors overlooking the bay were a real luxury. The walk down to the beach has a bit of a steep climb back up, but certainly doable! Lovely beach when the tide is out too. We had the pleasure of the dolphins each morning about half seven which was such a treat!

Wavecrest is a lovely cottage, clean and well kept, a home from home.
We had a lovely, comfortable stay. The sheep neighbours were entertaining, the views are marvellous and the fresh sea air complemented the peaceful setting with only the waves and the sheep to break the peace and quiet.
I found the mattress too soft but that is a personal preference, the bedding was lovely and fresh.
We had everything we needed.
The electricity is by prepaid meter. There is good wi-fi and freeview TV.
There is a path to walk down to the bay - a lovely walk after dinner in the evenings, or a fresh stroll at breakfast to wake up to.
A visit to the Hungry Gull should be on your to do list as well as the wee friendly local shop.
We had a good day out at Dunvegan Castle and Gardens and the Seal boat as well as a Seafari to see seals and sea eagles.
We also parked by Columba 1400 and walked from there to the 'dinosaur beach' and made a round trip up the path and across the bridge and back to the car. A very nice, easy walk.
We watched the sunset by Duntulm Castle ruins and saw a Golden Eagle near Flodigarry. There are some lovely shops in Portree as well. We had a week and could have filled another week as there is so much to see and do.

Perfect cottage
We had lovely holiday and very happy with clean cottage. Cottage is in perfect location !!! 7 min walk to seaside . Great place for stars and northern lights glaze .

Superb hidden gem
What a find!! Wavecrest had stunning views and we were in heaven. Fully kitted out and the welcoming tea, milk and shortbread was a sight for sore eyes. Dog friendly and the owner was communicative and accommodating. We’ll be back. So much to see and do on Syke and Raasay.

Great Location
After a day out sightseeing, even going as far as Ardvasar; Skye isn't very big after all; pour a good Dram and just take in the powerful vista from the Lounge, it has it all, height, width & depth. Wester Ross turning pink in the sunset from behind
The Quiraing is an unexpected highlight. The comfortable furniture, Double Bed and huge Kitchen welcome you back from any arduous visit's of the day, after all that is Skye's forte. The road over The Quiraing to Uig is a trip.! Mrs. J. Rough is the Consumate Hostess fantastically approachable and helpful should the need arise to make contact. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at Wavecrest in the future, fitting it in with all the other wonderful Islands however might delay it. If it's open, give The Glenelg Ferry a try on the journey to Skye, if it's anything like our crossing, I guarantee it will get your full attention, also nice people and the coffee was great, just keep going after the sat nav say's you are there .!

Wavecrest cottage in Staffin
A beautiful and well kept cottage.
Clean and comfortable, with everything that you would need for a relaxing stay.
It is situated in the north of Skye in a glorious location overlooking the sea with views to die for.
Would highly recommend.
A beautiful part of the island especially for exploring and wildlife.

Comfortable home from home
Lovely clean, spacious and comfortable cottage with everything we needed for our week in Skye. Great location with spectacular views over Staffin Bay. Close to Quiraing, Old Man Storr, Kilt Rock and easy to travel to all parts of Skye. First time visitors should note cottage itself is not signposted from the road-follow the sign for Boraig Cottages and you can’t go wrong. Would definitely stay here again.
