We will be back!
What a nice place to come back to. The house is so cosy and the view spectacular. We have been at Creacan Ban for our second time and we will be back for sure!

Very disappointed (arrival date August 05, 2023)
To our great disappointment, our confirmed and paid booking at Creagan Ban had been canceled only four months before our holiday. The owner wrote us that she had to cancel it because she had a double booking for this week and that Trip Advisor agreed that it was their fault - there was a problem with the calendars syncing.
For our family, it then was extremely difficult to find a similar holiday home on the Isle of Skye at such short notice.

Atmospheric and relaxing
Creagan Ban is a gorgeous remote cottage to stay and unwind, rain or shine. Fantastic nature watching opportunities from the lounge/dining areas, comfy sofa and armchairs, great space overall. So many amazing places to visit nearby. Another lovely holiday here.

Fantastic stay on Skye
What a find this cottage was, it’s position and isolation is a great place to relax or a base to explore the fantastic island of Skye. The view out of the main windows was never the same twice, with the changing tides and weather you never knew if you could see for miles or just the grass outside.
The cottage is very well equipped and very clean and comfortable. The wildlife was also amazing from otters to highland cows.
This was our second visit to Skye (the first time was in a camping pod last year) so didn’t think we would be back in the near future, but finding this cottage we will be back again very soon and spend a bit more time relaxing.

Don't hesitate just book it
Beautiful comfortable home from home with amazing views from the lounge. So good you may never go out. Do go to the Big Myrtle cafe just up the road. Sir with your paper or browse the large selection of books while you eat and drink.

Lovely house. Perfectly set up for holidays. Beautiful views from living area. Everything you might need. Highly recommended.

Away from it all
We came for our second stay, for 11 nights through Christmas and New Year.
Wanted somewhere quiet where we could just chill with some good books and good wine.
We did not want for anything and even managed to cook Christmas dinner without any bother.
We had the normal rainy weather we expected and it was nice to watch the changing weather across the water. The views are amazing and we also walked across the tidal path to Oronsay which is absolutely beautiful.
Lots of wildlife, saw Oystercatchers, Curlews and Herons most days and also saw a hawk hunting in the next field a couple of times. Also a few seals and we were extremely lucky to see a sea otter one evening, playing in the water and catching fish.
We had a great time again and really hope to return.

A place to stay forever!
This was our fourth stay on the Isle of Skye, since we love that beautiful island. All the cottages that we stayed in before were great, but Creagan Ban must be described as an outstanding place. The cottage itself was clean, cozy and well-equipped so that we didn’t miss anything inside the house. There was a bench outside at the back of the house, and it was so nice to sit down and just enjoy the lovely nature. When we booked Creagan Ban it was our intention/hope to get a lot of rest and relaxation but our expectations had been even exceeded: The surroundings are truly amazing, and even though it rained a lot during our stay, we even felt relaxed just from the look out of the windows at the troubled sea. We didn’t see any otters, seals or something similar, but we saw a lot of different birds, and we very much enjoyed to watch the big herd of cattle which were grazing very close around the house. At one evening we were even lucky to watch the cattleman (and his two cute border collies) driving all the cattle from one pasture to the other, and we perceived it as an unforgettable highlight (thanks for that!). Creagan Ban is also a good starting point to explore the island, and each time we returned it felt like coming home (it couldn’t be better, could it?). To come to the point: We very much enjoyed our stay at Creagan Ban and we definitely want to return, because we think it’s truly a place to stay forever! Absolute Bliss
Sorry its taken so long to write this as we stayed last year. We stayed for a week and loved every minute. So much that we are going back for this Christmas and New Year.
The view is outstanding, and its just so peaceful and quiet. Everything was clean, really nice to have a dishwasher and washing machine, and it was really spacious for just 2 of us. Found it very difficult to go out!
We took an inflatable boat and had a great time exploring the coastline. We were not lucky enough to see sea otters, but lots of birds and seals.
Loved it, and we are so looking forward to going back.

Our opinion of Creagan Ban
In our opinion, the house is definitely not properly maintained for years. No WiFi connection anywhere in or near the house. Landlord didn't respond when I asked her where to go for an alternative for having no internet connection. Showers both not working properly (also one without showerhead). Dusty carpet caused allergic reaction. Upon arrival, the kitchen was not cleaned properly (bread crumbs on the whole counter, toaster not cleaned, and one cupboard smelled of onions and was stained with leftovers). Appliances throughout the house are hanging loose, plinth covers are missing, carpet not laid with care, and the information book is incomplete, dirty and stained. The view is indeed beautiful and the house lovely situated, obviously it's nice to have a dishwasher and washer included, but we definitely felt like we've paid too much for this holiday home.

Goodness Joelle, I'm so sad you felt this way. We do maintain our cottage and indeed had just replaced the sofa before your arrival. I explained before your arrival about the internet problems which was a British Telecom issue, not our's (now resolved), and do please let me know which appliances are loose and which covers are missing (not sure what a plinth is). I will certainly address the book and shower.
