Don't Rent From Sandbridge Blue!

Following is the email I sent to the management company - twice. No response. Also left an unfavorable review on their website; it wasn't posted. Our family was really impressed with the video you sent telling what a great job you do in response to Covid-19. Unfortunately, you didn’t perform. We arrived about 3:00 pm. There was only one person cleaning the home. She indicated her helper was unable to work today. This house is too large for one person to clean in 5 hours. She left about 4:30. Not sure what the protocol is; however she did not put on a mask when we got here. Video items: 1. No welcome bag was left. 2. Pillows were not double cased. 3. I question if chemicals were sprayed and left for several minutes and then wiped off later (we didn’t see it while we were here. 4. Some bathroom rugs are still in the house and have obviously not been laundered. 5. Front door rug needs cleaning. 6. 2nd floor bunk bedroom had (still has) poop or blood stain on sheet on a bed that the linens were not changed. Package linens still on bed. 7. The dishwasher did not have 4 sets of clean dishes. Both had the dishes (assumed clean) from the previous renter. 8. One of the storage trays in the refrigerator door had what looked like melted butter in it. Leads me to wonder how thorough it was actually cleaned. 9. There were several toys under the living room rug which leads me to believe the were not vacuumed or they would have been noticed. Based upon this it’s difficult to believe anything else in the video. Other Items: 1. Most of the pots and pans were scratched with flaking Teflon and were unusable. I called and your office promptly and professionally took care of this and replaced them. a. On the same call we indicated we also needed a dish drainer (put in sink to let pots and pans drain after they are hand washed). A sink strainer was delivered. Easy mistake to make; however, the house still needs a dish drainer. b. On the same call we reported that neither the television nor phone worked. My sons were able to rewire the cable box and get that working and I called back and reported that. The phone still does not work and needs to be immediately repaired. This is an absolute necessity with an elevator in the house. (i.e. a person trapped in the elevator cannot call for help other than the audible alarm). c. On the same call we reported that the table and 4 chairs on the kitchen deck had rusted metal parts hanging from the bottom of the table and all the chairs and tables were dropping rusted metal on the deck. I requested they be removed after we check out. The following day a maintenance man came while I was grilling, came out wanted to remove them and took some pictures. My wife mentioned the dish drainer and he proceeded to start looking in all of the kitchen cabinets. I came in, noticed he was not wearing a mask or gloves and ordered him to leave the house immediately. 2. Living Room rugs need to be thrown out. They are very gross. 3. The floors had a fair amount of sand on them when we checked in. They have a little more now. 4. The top of pool house refrigerator doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned in a year. The freezer also has refrozen melted water. 5. Some of the bedrooms had the clocks in the dresser drawers. Odd. 6. Room 2: Bathroom has powder (looks like make up) in one of the drawers. 7. Two of the bathrooms had stuff in the soap tray. 8. Bedroom # 9: has stuff under the bed. 9. We called and reported that the clothes dryer (large one) needs a new vent. The existing vent is split and will set off all of the fire alarms if used. 10. Window ledge needs dusting (easy to do with a feather duster with and extension. 11. Several light bulbs are burned out. 12. Door lock on BR # 5 needs repair. It doesn’t work. I’m surprised there is no post-cleaning inspection by management. We’ve been doing that in Holden Beach for many years.
