Amazing Time!
We just experienced a weekend at the Paradise home. We had a group of 4 couples and every couple agreed- this place is perfect for a private, laid back weekend in the woods! The home was spotless, amazing cleaning service! The property is impeccable and Terry was the perfect host, allowing us to checkout later at noon.
The rooms were described well and the kitchen and living areas were well laid out. Huge deck and steps from the lake. Enjoyed pedal boat and canoe. Neighbors were friendly and fun too!
Great stay, we’ve already booked our trip for next September!

Perfect Escape From the Hubbies and Kids!! Girl's Weekend!! Yay!!
Just spent a fabulous long weekend in the Paradise house at Birch Lake Getaways with 4 of my girlfriends! We especially enjoyed the outdoor areas with the firepit, lake and hiking area (takes about 15 minutes to get around the whole lake). It was great we could still get on the water with the paddle boat to go float since it was too cold to do anymore swimming. The property is beautiful and the other houses are far enough away from each other we felt we had our own privacy (especially at night with doors closed when we were laughing hysterically playing games, we had no complaints! Lol....)
With it being a cooler part of the year we also loved the indoor gas fireplace and hot tub as well! The first night we were able to sit on the patio until the sun went down. The house was more than enough for the 5 of us! The beds were very comfortable. The tv was huge and had usb connection so we could watch our own digital movies on usb drive too, they do have vcr/dvd player as well. Some of the furniture is a bit dated but was doable.
The reason for 4 of 5 stars was for just a few things could have been a bit cleaner for our liking, the coffee maker and dishwasher could use a deep clean and the comforters need a good wash (we all take those off anywhere though right?). The upstairs shower is very small and probably would work ok for kids but we all used the main floor shower. The wi-fi worked most of the time but when all 5 of us would try to get on someone was getting kicked off, so just a bit spotty occasionally.
You can't beat the cost for what you get though, everything worked as it should and the owners are extremely responsive to emails and answering any questions. We will definitely go back again!

A wonderfully peaceful place to recharge.
This place was remote - quiet and peaceful. We hardly saw nor heard the other renters in the area. The home had all the amenities one could wish for - plus a great view of the lake. We didn't realize that fishing was catch & release until we got there - but that was fine with us. The grand kids caught fish on their first ever fishing attempt! The lake itself was a little disappointing with weeds floating around everywhere - but in our case the kids just wanted to play in the sand anyway. The paddle boat was a big hit. It was a very comfortable stay that was enjoyed by all.

Autumn in Wisconsin
We've been coming to Birch Lake off and on for the last 15 years and have stayed in most of the houses. The Paradise is our favorite, but they're all great. Good kitchens, Washer/Dryers, wonderful views of the lake, and comfortable furniture.
The quiet, peaceful, scenic lake is just what the doctor ordered for stressed out city folk like us. The rolling hills and country roads hold beautiful drives in every direction. Wisconsin is famous for its supper clubs and there are quite a few within an hour's drive.
And after a longish drive, Birch Lake is a wonderful place to come home to.

Paradise Home.
We stayed at the paradise home in October of this year 2013. it was absolutely beautiful! the house was very spacious and the fishing here is absolutely fantastic! we caught many largemouth bass and huge blue gill. the home was very clean and had very modern features. there is a large screen TV in the living room and a fireplace. the stereo in the house is hooked up to the decks outside speakers so you can listen to music if you're sitting on the deck and playing cards or just enjoying the view. the nature trail walk around the lake is a must!!! It is so beautiful and you see everything from beautiful flowers to wild life. we will definitely be going back again! they have 4 beaches to swim or sun at, and each house has its own row boat and paddle boat. there is also a Jacuzzi off of the master bedroom that hold about six people with beautiful views threw the large windows of the lake and property. I guarantee if you stay here you will come back every year! the hosts are very courteous and friendly and have everything taken care of ahead of time. we went into town for the Friday night fish fry and it was fantastic! it was called the teepee super club. we are already planning are trip to go up next year!

Paradise home!

Wonderful
We loved our stay in this wonderful vacation location. So much so that we will indeed be back - perhaps multiple times next year. It's the perfect escape from the city - cozy, private, and comfortable. It was clean, well stocked, and breathtakingly beautiful. We stayed in winter, can't wait to see it in summer.
Thanks for the hospitality. It was a home run experience.

Birthday Get-A-way
I booked as a bday getaway for my fiance' and few family members .This was my second time coming to Terry and Sally at Birchlake . We had a amazing time it is like the home away from home. We shop for what we need and bring it all there. We went bowling in town ,hiked and relaxed in the hot tub. There are plenty of stores,resturants and even a movie theather close by. Each time I have went Terry has been really helpful and he is flexible. The cabin is always clean everything you are used to having at home is available . Pots,pans, dishes, Wifi ,washer and dryers, grill and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows. He even has 24 hr Maintence on staff in case there are any issues.My biggest thing is they are Clean and affordable especially as a group. I plan to go back in a couple months this time we are bringing the little ones to do some tubing . Everyone that went enjoyed themselves and we cant all wait to get back this time we will be getting the Serenity.

Great weekend getaway for family and friends
The paradise cabin was a great place to meet friends for a weekend of hanging out and relaxing. The house comfortably sleeps 7 but there are 2 sleeper sofas for extra people. Be aware that the mattresses on the sleeper sofas are thin and not very comfortable. My son ended up just using the couch and not pulling it out. The furniture was a little worn but we attributed that to the policy of allowing pets. We appreciated being able to bring a dog along. The cabin was very clean. The hot tub was awesome- in a porch overlooking the lake and plenty big enough for 5 people at a time. The water in the hot tub was clean, and the temperature was adjustable. There is a paddle boat and row boat for each cabin and the kids enjoyed a paddle around the lake. The lake is small and has a beautiful wooded trail around for hiking. The view from the deck was great and plenty of chairs and room. The second bedroom upstairs was very small- only room to walk around it and no room for a suitcase. The bed was too short for my 6'4" husband. The first bedroom upstairs was perfect for kids with a queen bed, twin and a junior bed for a small child. The spiral staircase going to the upstairs was a little narrow and an elderly person might have a problem using it. The only problem we had was the furnace not working correctly but there was a quick response each time I called. It took the maintenance man 3 tries to find the problem. The gas fireplace also did not work and he fixed that. We did get quite chilly when the temperature outdoors dropped drastically the second day but they did respond and the problem was fixed within 4 hours of the first call. The kitchen has almost everything needed except a potato peeler. We successfully cooked a large turkey dinner using a turkey roaster and fed 8 people. Overall it was a nice location, pretty scenery and very enjoyable visit.

A day away from life.
I took a day out of my life to just get away and recharge my batteries. This was the right choice for this. The place was comfortable, homelike and beautiful. I left feeling relaxed and carefree.
