We stayed in Zi Villa beach cottage as a family of 4. For us it was perfection, view to die for, stunning section of beach and no need for us to go anywhere else. We booked breakfast and dinner option which worked perfectly and were looked after so well by Teddy and the team. There was a fridge/freezer which was stocked with drinks and should you want to shop on the way there to get extras you could(airport is about 1 hour from the villa so would be best to do that on the way). Lunches could be ordered too. Definitely need booties for the sea as loads of sea urchins (as is normal for the coastline) when walking out to snorkel - the sea life is incredible. At high tide it is the perfect time to swim with crystal clear water and sand beneath. Very peaceful, tranquil spot where you can really relax and unwind. Highly recommend!!!

Sono stato 10 giorni allo Zi Villa Garden. Oltre al villone con piscina privata occupata da una famiglia forse tedesca, c'era un'altra coppia tedesca che occupava un appartamento vista mare con una piccola piscina sempre privata. Io ero in un'altra struttura con tre appartamenti, due vuoti. Al piano superiore ci sarebbe dovuto essere una specie di bar/ristorante ma non era in funzione. Naturalmente non avevo una piscina, ma molto verde in cui scorrazavano galli, galline e pulcini. La strada interna è piuttosto malandata e raggiungere la spiaggia è abbastanza disagevole anche per causa di una porta in legno mezza scardinata e arruginita. Quindi niente ristorante, nessun luogo comune, niente piscina nè lettini con obrelloni sulla spiaggia. Per lo stesso prezzo (880 dollari con colazione) troverete sicuramente di meglio.

Our stay at Zi Villa was amazing. We stayed in the Zi Dhow Beach Cottage and it was lovely. It felt like a home away from home with all the comforts that you could need. The private beach is very nice, at high tide there are gentle waves for the children to enjoy and then at low tide, there are lovely pools to sit in and relax. The free use of paddle skis and canoes is really amazing, we used them everyday. The staff at Zi Villa are very friendly and helpful, especially Hasan who went out of his way to help us. He met us at the hospital when my son cut his foot and we hadn't even checked in to Zi Villa yet. The food is also incredible with a wide selection to choose from, we enjoyed fish every night. I was sad to leave Zi Villa and I hope that we can return to it soon with friends and family so they can also enjoy the wonderful experience that we had.

I can't say enough good things about our wonderful stay at Zi Villa with amazing cuisine and service. The villa is right on the beach and has a stunning pool and amazing views. Completely serene with your own private beach. The staff and meals were beyond excellent. Definitely recommend and can't wait to visit again!

Quelle déception
Nous avions séjourné il y a 2 ans dans le ze cottage (qui fait parti du même complexe) les prestations du logement étaient parfaites. Pour notre deuxième séjour nous avons choisi zi villa, quelle fût notre déception dès les premiers jours. Les prestations hôtelière ne sont pas à la hauteur :repas de moins bonne qualité (multiple choix non proposés sur la première partie du séjour), serviettes de plage non remplacées il en va de même pour les serviettes de toilette (il faut en faire la demande), les chambres ne sont faites tous les jours (installation des moustiquaires et traitement anti moustique). La piscine à notre arrivée n avait pas été nettoyée (eau trouble et mauvaise odeurs). De plus la maison aurait besoin d un rafraîchissement et d un meilleur entretien (lavabo fendu, à barrant des toilettes cassé, robinetterie qui fuit, chaises du jardin percées). Notre départ étant tardif et sachant la villa non loué derrière nous avons demandé la possibilité de rester jusqu'à 18 heures une facturation de 100 dollars nous a été appliquée sans en avoir été informé au préalable. Le manager est invisible il ne se preoccupe pas des clients (il faut constamment le sollicité...... Et souvent pas de réponse.

A truly relaxing and rejuvenating holiday experience, conveniently just a 3.5 Hr direct flight to Zanzibar airport. Where we were met by a shuttle service to assist us with our luggage and transport us to Stone Town, for some sightseeing, delicious seafood salad and cocktails, before transporting us to Zi Villa. Upon arrival at the resort, we were warmly welcomed by the Manager and the delightful staff, who were all extremely friendly, helpful, and respectful. Our Villa was not immediately available, but we were made very comfortable in Zi Dow, offering snacks, cocktails, and a dip in the pool. Soon after we were ushered to Zi Beach house, our home for the week. The delight and exhilaration will remain unforgettable as we walked into the very spacious, clean, and well-appointed Zi Beach house. Perfectly situated a couple of meters from a pristine white beach and breath-taking view of an inviting turquoise ocean. Zi Beach house is well laid out. Fully serviced and the fridge is stocked with ice cold beers, soft drinks and wine was also available. A perfect, relaxing, comfortable, private spot on the beach front. A private pool on the terrace to cool down after walks on the beach was most welcome. All meals were served on our private terrace and were delicious. The hospitality was outstanding. We had the opportunity to view the other vacation options on the estate. Zi Villa which sleeps around 14 is beautiful, spacious, light and has a private pool with beautiful views and direct access to the beach, highly recommend for family and friend’s holidays. Zi Dhow and the Zi loft cottages, are also very appealing and highly recommended. Nestled overlooking the sea! Secure, with a few steps on to the beach an amazing holiday experience. Canoes and paddle skis are available. Pick-ups at the Villa for fun excursions such as snorkelling, scuba diving, boat rides into the ocean to view dolphins and swim with turtles, is all arranged by the manager of the resort. Our experience was beyond exceptional! beyond all our expectations. We enjoyed visits to other beautiful beaches. However, the walks along the beaches from Zi Villa in search of little creatures, cocktails, and other activities outside of the Villa, was relaxing and memorable. We highly recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic vacation, a time to slow down, to admire life, witness complete silence, bright stars, harmony of trees and the curiosity of bird calls, from the privacy of your own patio, then Zi Beach house is the place to be Thank you for the most amazing holiday, we hope to be back annually, Warm Zanzibar regards Cliff and Cheryl.

Amazing incredible magical place
This property is the type of place that you struggle to explain to friends upon your return. If you think about what makes an ideal vacation home, this place has it plus more. A well kept property that is even larger than the pictures make it out to be. Decor that was still interesting after hours of exploring. A staff that is very personable, unobtrusive, and takes care of your every need before you even thought you had a need. From the greeting at the door to the goodbye six days later there was never a stressful moment as the staff made sure everything was taken care of. The meals were an absolute delight, and that is saying a lot for East African cuisine. Food was plentiful and tasty for everyone in our party ranging from a 6 year old to a 65 year old. The beach was gorgeous and felt very private given the location. The magic is seeing that as the guests were waking up the pool was being cleaned, the seaweed was being raked off the beach, the food was being cooked, the pillows were being fluffed, the sand was being swept, etc. The staff took care of every arrangement and excursion without hesitation. They accommodated unique needs including severe dietary restrictions, covid testing, and children needs without batting an eyelash. We tried to find a constructive criticism about our stay and the only thing we could come up with was a slow drain in a shower....that the staff had fully corrected within hours. An absolutely magical place. After staying in several properties around Zanzibar in the past, this will be our only call in the future as we can't wait to share this amazing property and staff with others.

Magical private beach hide-away
We really needed to escape this pandemic and this was the perfect place. Spacious, on the beach, all food is included and it is amazing. The staff was super helpful and catered to our every need. There is a little bus for transport to other parts of the island which is great. We also had laundry done which helped as we have three small kids and stayed 10 days. Covid testing was so easy, you apply online and pay online and the testing centre is 10 minutes from the villa. You receive your results online and the villa printed it out for us. They then stamp the results at the airport. Great place to escape with kids as the beach is very secluded and safe and there is a lovely pool. We are already planning our next visit!

I wanted to write a review and completely forgot! Just wanted to say what an amazing time we had at ZiVilla in Mar 2019! We were 8 guests and Amri & the staff were absolutely amazing and it was one of our best holidays ever from the accommodation, to the food (amazing seafood from Tuna Steaks, Calamari and Prawns, fresh fruit and mouth-watering breakfasts every morning and the fresh juice every morning that is a secret recipe), baking a cake for birthday celebrations, etc, the discrete but attentive service, the view, the beach and all the activities. Nothing was too much of an effort and Amri was amazing at organizing whatever we wanted! The ZiVilla house & Cottage are beautiful and it really feels like you are in paradise! The variety of blues of the ocean and the sea life and snorkeling close to Matemwe Island was a highlight, especially as you get picked up right in-front of the villa. You have access to your own private beach! And if you ask, you receive! Amri and his staff of people were always there to assist and always with a smile and friendly face! Nothing was too much trouble for them! We will definitely be back!l many, many more times in the future!!

On a White Sandy Beach in style...
This well-appointed Villa, with it's four suites, was perfect for our party of seven. The unique East African decor creates a welcome, pleasing, comfortable space. We spent our final seven days in Africa, just to relax and unwind by sea. This was 'THE' perfect spot to do it. Seif, Amri, and a terrific staff aim to please, and mission accomplished. The meals are well prepared and served. Cold beverages are abundant, readily available with ice. All of our special requests were achieved in a timely manner. The pool is large, refreshing, and Clean. We even did our SCUBA 'Refresher-Dive' in it. There are plenty of lounges for all, and then some. Located way-up a bumpy sandy road is part of its remote, enchanting charm. That said, we did venture out on three excursions: A SCUBA/Snorkel dive at Mnemba Island. An excursion to Jozani Forest, Jambiani Beach, and then north to The Rock for dinner; [in Africa for over three weeks, this was the group's favorite meal]. And to Stone Town and Prision Island. Allan, thank you for making this treasure available to us commoners. Franca, your a delight to work with. And ZiVilla staff we love the Hakuna Matata warmth you exude. What a joy to read of your experience at Zi Villa and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated by Franca and all the staff at Zi Villa when I copy them later today. It is my favourite place so really heartwarming to receive such positive feedback from guests and thrilled that we made your holiday experience to Zanzibar so memorable.
